Suzy in the eyes of coworkers - Part 1

We were originally going to publish this later, but given recent events, we are posting parts of it today. Please reblog/tweet/etc.
We have collected and translated what people that know Suzy in real life have said about her. Many of these were either published on personal twitters and blogs or brought up by the coworker themselves without any request from reporters.
Kim Soo Hyun
Even though Suzy is young, she is never daunted. She doesn’t get disheartened. She is also really positive. That’s why everyone becomes fond of her.
I think there is a kind of spell that Suzy casts. By the end, all the staff members were, should I say, addicted to Suzy.
She is mature and good-natured to the point where I ask myself “Was I like that when I was 18?”
Even if the director is yelling and scolding, she doesn’t become intimidated or discouraged. Whenever I look back at her, she has a smiling face.
In Suzy’s case, on top of her young age, it was her first time acting and she had a lot of scenes. She must have suffered more than anyone else yet she was always mature and kept a bright face. When acting with someone, you can tell what kind of person they are, so those parts were admirable and nice.
Bae Yong Joon hyung was especially fond of Suzy out of the cast members. He only used a lot of emoticons [with her]. He said that “texting with other actors and texting with Suzy is different.”
Haha
She’s really a good kid. Usually when you reach Suzy’s level, people become arrogant, but she’s not like that at all. One time she discovered a billboard of herself by chance and exclaimed, “Whoa it’s me!” She’s still an innocent kid.
Director Lee Yong Joo of Introduction to Architecture
I am really proud of her as a director. It was really touching how Suzy worked so hard, prepared so much, and studied sincerely like a student. Once she left her script on the set and a staff member kept it and gave it to me. I was shocked - looking at the script, she had filled up page after page with careful notes just like a high school student studying for exams.
I thought, ‘this is what it means to work hard.’ Seeing her continuously worry, practice, and concentrate, I thought that she would become a great actress. She followed my directions as much as I wanted. That’s what I am most thankful to Suzy for.
Sung Yuri
Personally, I really like Suzy, who I see as really young and cute.
Looking at Suzy especially, I think that she shows the best possible character one can achieve at that age.
Broadcast staff member
miss A members are fundamentally really kind and easygoing and super polite. Especially with Suzy, you would think that she’d be a little arrogant since she is already such a top star, but she’s not like that at all. She always brightly greets the staff members on set, is friendly with them, and you can feel that it is sincere and not an act. During the breaks on set, she watches the staff play Nintendo games and is really nice to her unnies. She seems very polite and kind, like a kid that has grown up receiving love.
Jewelry’s Yewon
When Suzy would come after finishing overseas performances as well as other schedules, she must be really tired but she doesn’t show it. Inside, I was very surprised. I realized that there is a reason behind success.
Daughter of broadcast PD
I heard that amongst PDs, Suzy is really a gem. They say that even though she has risen so much in popularity, she is the same as when she started out and really is innocent.
Lee Chan Hyuk of Akdong Musician
Yoon Do Hyun: I heard that Chanhyuk has fallen in love recently, who is the girl?
Soohyun: It’s Suzy, Suzy Suzy Suzy.
Chanhyuk: I registered at her fan café. Meeting her, I saw that she has a great personality as well.
Boom: Of course. Suzy is too kindhearted.
Song Eun-Yi
I think miss A ‘Suzy’ is really admirable, truly..
Lee Jae Hoon (co-star from Introduction to Architecture)
Even though I received the jealousy and resentment of millions of male fans, I liked [working with her] because she was very pretty, genuine, and sincere.
Extra on Gu Family Book
Lee Seung Gi and Suzy’s mentalities are the best.
I went to be an extra on Gu Family Book.
Since the extras were getting soaked by the rain, as soon as she heard ‘cut!’ Suzy told her manager and coordinator to help them dry off and she herself helped wipe the extras’ faces with a tissue. Also there was an extra waiting outside and she gave him an umbrella and even went and got him coffee.
When the filming ended Suzy came to the extras’ bus and said you guys had such a hard time today, let’s meet next time when the weather is good!
Yoo Yeon Suk (co-star from Introduction to Architecture)
These days, television quality is so good that celebrities on screen and in real life look about the same, but you can’t tell personality.
When it comes to Suzy, her personality is as pretty as her face. Even though she’s an extremely popular star, she does everything the way she feels and expresses. She has none of the things that are concerning in others that debuted at a young age, and is a really pure person.
Jeon Ah Min (co-star from Dream High)
Some viewers said that Bae Suzy’s acting was awkward, but in my eyes, it isn’t. She is working really hard and at that level on her first try is good. Her personality is really kind as well and she is very polite on set.
Staff member of Introduction to Architecture
The truly kind Suzy, who remembered each and every staff member and personally wrote us all letters, even though she came to set having only slept 3 hours in this busy year-end period!!!!!! Super touched!!!!!
Kim Joo Yeon (student from Suzy’s old school)
(To Suzy) Unnie! Do you remember Ms. Yuri Kim, your 9th grade history teacher? She is our teacher now! She says you were really a good kid! (…) I heard her talk about you! She says you were really pretty and truly hardworking!!
Make-A-Wish Foundation
On February 5th, despite her busy schedule, she met and granted the wishes of the children with incurable diseases who had waited for her.
The children that met Suzy were a 15-year-old boy suffering from lymphoma and a 11-year-old girl suffering from a brain tumor. These two children had requested to meet Suzy through the Korean Make-a-Wish Foundation.
In the small conference room, Suzy gladly greeted the two children and sincerely answered all their questions. When asked what was the most rewarding moment after becoming a singer, she replied “Moments like right now, when I can become a source of strength to other people.”
She parised and marveled at the hat and hair accessory that the children had prepared as gifts, and put them on right away. After spending time with them talking and making handprints, Suzy said “with today’s memory, I hope you can overcome the tough times at the hospital and become healthy” and gave them each a guitar and sneakers as a gift.
Lee Seung Gi
I think that her hardworking attitude on set is charming. Honestly, actresses can be a little difficult and get tired, but Suzy works quietly yet energetically. I’ve never seen an actress so brave. The more I see her, the more I like her.
Baek Sung Hyun (co-star from Big)
I think that Suzy is really a good person. Her good-natured and hardworking persona is attractive. I don’t know if it’s because I’m absorbed in my character, but I can’t take my eyes off of her.
Jo Sung-ha (co-star from Gu Family Book)
When I met Suzy at award shows before, I felt a calm and demure femininity, but the Suzy I met on set was completely into the Dam Yeo Wool character and showed off a clumsy and boyish charisma. She feels like a real daughter because she is someone that truly works hard.
Translated by Seryn 아보카도 of @forsuzy94. This is only part 1 - there are many more that I didn’t translate yet.

This is why we support Suzy.
The higher you go, the more people want to make you fall. But we will stay strong together.

[Bestiz] Update on the "Nation's First Love" Sports Seoul rumor

Thanks for all the e-mails, guys!

This Bestiz post shows that a DC Gallery user named Choi Chang Ryul has been making up random rumors and calling them blind items, which were then spread around by netizens until eventually picked up by journalists. The recent Sports Seoul article on the nation's first love/girl group member with the bad attitude is also one of his made up rumors. The Bestiz user claims that the content of such a rumor was never found anywhere on the internet until written by Choi Chang Ryul on DC Gallery, which can be seen in his post history (another rumor he made up was theone regarding Han Ga In/Kang Dong Won/Yun Jung Hoon), and then picked up by Sports Seoul. These rumors were never formally released as 'blind items'. "Because of these rumors that are being spread around as blind items,  the celebrities who are speculated to be the names mentioned are being  terrorized in their related searches. When you search their names, the  results you get are all these rumors that have since been spread through Kakao Talk, etc. Choi Chang Ryul needs to take responsibility for turning innocent celebrities into sexual predators and adulterers."

He also tried to drive traffic to his blog by titling his rumors as blind items, etc, and ran around in various galleries writing up  controversial posts for attention. I myself am sorry for the confusion this brought about and will try to be more careful in the future.

Thanks again for dropping this in my inbox!

SUZY's STORY: Make-A-Wish Foundation

Netizens fire back at ‘Sports Seoul’ on their rumor post referring to Suzy

After the release of their article and video regarding a ‘rude and disrespectful’ female idol earlier today, ‘Sports Seoul‘ has become criticized by netizens who say that the media outlet has reported on a random rumor made up by an individual.

As mentioned before, theirSS Rumors and Truth‘ segment beeped out Suzy’s name, but they made it far too easy to figure that they were indeed talking about her as the last syllable of the name ended with “zy” and she also had the initial ‘B’ (Bae Suzy).

With the article becoming one of the popular story on portals, netizens set out to do their own investigation and have reached the conclusion that the media outlet had just relied upon a false rumor created by a man called Choi Chang Ryul, someone whom they say is notorious for creating false rumors, calling them ‘blind item’s or gossip reported by insiders in the financial world.

According to a post on a board being spread around, a netizen starts off the post saying, “The things below are gossip that he wrote up in February, which weren’t floating around anywhere except until he wrote it on his DCInside.”

The one listed under the rumors Choi Chang Ryul spread on February 3rd especially sounded familiar as it said “Girl group member ‘B’ who is being called the trend these days as she’s rising as the ‘nation’s first love’.. With the immense increase in popularity, she’s become immensely rude and is being criticized by reporters and PDs.. In addition to being late to her photoshoots, she also complains if they want to reshoot and even uses profanity.. Writers are apparently having a tough time as well because of her dirty mentality.”

The netizen continues stating that Choi Chang Ryul is ruining the reputation of celebrities with his false rumors that gain much attention due to netizens’ curiosity at anything that is labeled as a blind item or gossip.

So with the netizen investigative squad at full force and the posts about Choi Chang Ryul making its way around, ‘Sports Seoul’s article is gaining criticism on various boards and forums,as well as on the comments section of the article as well. One netizen wrote in response on the article’s Naver portal link, “Reporters even Ctrl+C Ctrl+V from DCInside stuff now? Keke is it even worth it to respond to articles like this? They even made a random rumor into an article and even made a video keke, seems like you put in so much effort keke How much do they pay you when you do things like this?”, while another encouraged JYP to take legal action.

‘Sports Seoul’ releases video on ‘rude and disrespectful’ female idol and ‘two-faced’ male actor

Korean Media outlet Sport Seoul has released a video talking about a ‘rude and disrespectful’ female idol along with a ‘two-faced’ male actor.

Their corner ‘SS Rumors and Truth‘ spoke about a certain female idol group member who is getting very popular. They didn’t mention a specific name as it was beeped out. However, in the YouTube description they described her as someone who is also active as an actress and is nicknamed the ‘Nation’s First Love’, in addition to providing her initial ‘B’.

Reporter Kim Ka Yeon reported, “OO is currently the biggest issue. However, because of her rapidly growing popularity, we have heard that she is getting arrogant, and she is being criticized by reporters, broadcast PDs, and broadcast station personnel. She is always late to her photoshoots, and when it’s time for her to resume filming after her break, she gets annoyed. Not only so, but she uses profanity that is not befitting for a female idol. There is also a reported case where she cried and complained she didn’t want to film, and ran off the set. Even though she has a beautiful face, because of her contrasting personality, she is currently being called the rudest among all the girl group members.

That was not all. The corner continued to talk about a male actor who was famous for his kind manners but that his true personality is anything but. The reporter revealed, “Even though he is well known for his manners, other actors are shaking their heads at his two-faced personality. Because of his recently faltering health, he orders his staff members to fetch him tea or give him a massage. If they’re even a bit late in doing his chores, he gets annoyed and angry at them. A broadcast personnel said, ‘He’s only nice in front of reporters. Even if he gets nice, his rude temper won’t go anywhere’.

Even though the names are bleeped out, from the clues including the ‘zy’ pronunciation at the end of the bleep, along with the nickname of ‘Nation’s First Love’, and Suzy’s last name being ‘Bae’ (Initial ‘B’), it seems to hint that the the female idol in question is miss A‘s Suzy. The male actor is a bit harder to decipher. Who do you think the male actor could be?

He explained, “Yeo Jin Goo was friendly and playful with staff members from the beginning and I was really jealous of him for that. On my first day, I was awkward and not blending in very well. I thought that all will be okay as long as I focus on my acting and execute it well, but that wasn’t the case.

He added, “And then there was this one incident. During our break time, Yeo Jin Goo was giving out snacks, tangerines and rice cakes, to every single staff member. Staff members thanked him and told him, ‘Jin Goo, you are a really good kid,’ and that’s when I had my ah-ha moment. I thought to myself, ‘that’s it!’”

“Specifically, when they were discussing the topic of love, Taemin talked about his elementary school days while Na Eun talked about her kindergarten days… They met during the first filming and exuded an innocent and fresh vibe. We ask that the viewers also watch over the new on-screen couple of Taemin and Na Eun with love.”

Taemin and Na Eun recently filmed for the show on Jeju Island, and their first episode will air on the 27th.

hi guys..what do you think about this new couple? do u like it? me? I don't like it!hahaha.. its not because I hate Na Eun or Taemin..I like them.. especially Taemin..I'm his fans..and I say this not because jealousy or something like that k... I just think this program doesn't suit them.. 1st love experience?? omo..not everyone married with their 1st love k...

this program is for married..not for dating.. or may be PD should change the title to 'we got dating' instead of 'we got married'..both of them not suit for this kind of program..Romantic Idol..yes..but not we got married..

I think there a lot of idol or non-idol that more 'convince' ... for male.. we have..mblaq's suegho, suju(anyone in suju), changmin 2am, shinhwa(anyone of them)..and for female..we have fei n jia miss a..kahi after school..(sorry..im not familiar with girl group..hahaha).. in other words.. someone that can give u the 'vibe or married' couple..not dating..hemm..

Leaving behind the image of a girl who’s found her first love, Suzy takes on the charm of an unruly girl in The Gu Family Book

Suzy recently made her first appearance in the TV drama series The Gu Family Book, showing the charm of an unruly girl, unlike her former image of a girl who’s found her first love.

On April 15, watching the special project drama series airing on MBC titled The Gu Family Book (written by Gang Eun Gyung, directed by Shin Woo Chul and Kim Jung Hyun), viewers were captivated by Suzy’s character, Dam Yeo Wool, who is reckless but innocent. Dam Yeo Wool is Dam Pyeong Jun’s only daughter and an instructor of the Muhyeongdogwan, who is positive and passionate. In the episode that aired that day, Dam Yeo Wool starts off traveling in secret to inspect a strange murder case and runs into Choi Gang Chi (played by Lee Seung Ki).

Appearing for the first time in the third episode, Suzy was in a scene in which her character has her palm read, wondering whether she will meet her “Mr. Right.” She seems to be tomboyish and innocent. She saves the endangered Choi Gang Chi with her righteous mind. In the scene in which Dam Yeo Wool runs away with Choi Gang Chi, her hat comes off, so Suzy’s long, straight hair flies in the wind, fascinating viewers with her purity. Changing her image from “the icon of first love” to “the unruly innocent girl,” Suzy got good reviews for her first appearance as Dam Yeo Wool.

The Gu Family Book ranked number one in the Nielsen Korea ratings, recording 13.6 percent of the viewing audience.

Is infinite’s sister going to make her debut?

Yoo Jiae, known as Infinite’s sister, is going to make her debut within the month of April.

“Yoo Jiae has previously appeared as a younger sister of Infinite in the reality program You Are My Brother. She received a lot of attention, becoming one of the most frequently searched keywords on Internet portal sites after announcing the news of her debut and releasing a teaser photo,” said her agency on April 17.

In a second released photo, Yoo Jiae shows her innocent beauty and purity. Her personal magnetism stands out well against the cherry blossoms in the background.

Prior to this, Yoo Jiae attracted public attention, being called “a look-alike of rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon Jae,” and she was also said to look very much like Sulli from f(x) and Aoi Yu.

A staffer from her agency says, “Yoo Jiae is a member of  the Woollim girl group. We are going to introduce the other members in a same way.”
