Choi Jin Hyuk Reveals His True Age

Choi Jin Hyuk Reveals His True Age

Actor Choi Jin Hyuk recently revealed that the age on his profile is not his real age.

In an interview with SBS E! News, the actor said, “If you search my name on a portal site, it says that my birthday is early 1985, but it’s actually early 1986.”

Choi Jin Hyuk revealed why he had raised his profile age by one, saying that since he was young, because of his ‘early’ birthdate, he had a lot of incidents here and there that led to a sort of trauma. In Korea, if you are born in the months of January and February, you are put into the same school year as those who were born in the year before you; thus came about the “early” birthdate.

“In elementary school, I used to get into fist fights because of my age.” At that age when everyone was so childish, his male classmates would tell him that he was their junior, and to kneel in front of them, which led to physical altercations. “This continued all the way up until college, so I’ve been sensitive about the topic since a young age, and it’s a source of stress for me.” So, he said, three years ago, he changed his birthday to an early 1985 birthday, something even his fans didn’t know about.

“Now that a lot of people I know know me as being born in ’85, I felt weird changing the profile back, so I just left it. However, it is just the profile that I’ve left; my friends and acquaintances know my age. So there’s no problem there. In any case, I do feel it is right to have the correct age on my profile, and I have plans to request a change.”

The topic of his age came up when Choi Jin Hyuk was asked in an interview how he feels coming up on thirty, where he then revealed his true age, and said “I’ve gained one more year before thirty.”

2013 SBS Gayo Daejun Music Drama Recap: Same Characters, Different Style

2013 SBS Gayo Daejun Music Drama Recap: Same Characters, Different Style

Who else burst out laughing when they saw K.Will ‘s face revealed as Choi Young Do during Part 1 of the 2013 SBS Gayo Daejun Music Drama, “The Miracle“? I love K.Will, but that was so unexpected. I think he pulled off Kim Woo Bin‘s character from “The Heirs” very well, with the same attitude and toughness, if not a bit awkward.

The SBS Gayo Daejun unveiled the three part music drama, “The Miracle” yesterday featuring SHINee‘s Taemin, Girl’s Day‘s Minah, A Pink‘s Son Na Eun, 2PM‘s Wooyoung, and many other idols. With cameos from Shin Dong Yup, Kim Kwang Kyu, and Seo In Guk, the music drama parodied and blended together two hit SBS dramas: “The Heirs” and “Master’s Sun.” Taemin played Lee Min Ho‘s Kim Tan from “The Heirs,” while Minah played Park Shin Hye‘s Cha Eun Sang. Son Na Eun played Gong Hyo Jin‘s Tae Gong Shil from “Master’s Sun” and Wooyoung played So Ji Sub‘s Joo Joong Won.

In the music drama, Tae Gong Shil gets the requests from ghosts to find a way to warm the hearts of everyone in the world. With the help of Kang Woo (Seo In Guk) who introduces her to Kim Tan, Son Na Eun is able get the help of Cha Eun Sang. Cha Eun Sang asks the question on her social network account, “When do people’s hearts become warm?” This question spreads online and various characters and idols answer in different ways that music warms their hearts. Kim Tan, Cha Eun Sang, Joo Joong Won, and Tae Gong Shil recruit the help of famous composer Kim Hyung Suk, as well as the help of Yoon Chan Young (Kang Min Hyuk‘s character from “The Heirs”) and Lee Bo Na (Krystal‘s character from the same drama) to form the “You Make Miracle-2013 Friendship Project.”

Kim Tan, Cha Eun Sang, Joo Joong Won, and Tae Gong Shil start going around to various artists to request their help, but the busy stars are hestistant to participate. The friendship project is not looking good until one by one, the idols started walking into the recording studio. Success! The “You Make Miracle-2013 Friendship Project” brings together the best artists of K-Pop to sing the song that will warm the hearts of people all over the world.

G-Dragon and Lee Hyori Express Displeasure With the Camerawork at the 2013 SBS Gayo Daejun

Following the 2013 SBS Gayo Daejun, Big Bang’s G-Dragon and Lee Hyori indirectly expressed their displeasure at the camera work for the show. On his Twitter, G-Dragon posted a short status, “Ca…me…ra…” On Lee Hyori’s Twitter also, after thanking her fellow guests on the show and her collab partner CL, she said, “And the camera, um…  …thanks.”

With the appearance of so many singers, as well as many performances including various collaboration stages that aren’t often seen on the end-of-the-year music shows, the 2013 SBS Gayo Daejun had the attention of a lot of people. However, in terms of the camera work, the show left a lot to be desired.

Following their posts, the situation escalated, and even viewers of the show posted on their Twitters and various social media sites that it was a shame about the camera work, showing shots of the ground or open air, that if they had taken just a little more care, it was a preventable problem, and that they could’ve watched a better show if not for the camera work, etc.

Upon seeing the increase in complaints, Lee Hyori soon deleted her Twitter post, and explained, “Now that I think about it, the Gayo Daejun was roughly 4 hours of performances, with nearly 100 singers hitting the stage with countless remixes. It must’ve been really hard for the camera director, too. This wasn’t the fault of the cameras.”

Did you watch the show? What did you think of the camera work?

Song Ji Hyo Amazes “Running Man” Cast by Sleeping Anywhere

Running Man

Actress Song Ji Hyo, is known for her quirkiness and courage on SBS’ “Running Man.” We’ve seen the actress pull off many missions even the guys can’t handle, like bungee jumping off of a building to catching chickens, and we all love her for it.

In a recent episode of “Running Man,” which aired on December 29, Song Ji Hyo surprised the cast once again falling asleep while lying on top of a 7-meter tall Jenga stack. The “Running Man” cast competed against the staff on this episode, and for their first mission, they had to remove 24 blocks from the stack.

Song Ji Hyo climbed on top of the stack in order to maintain the balance. While the staff and the cast members were talking, she fell asleep. When the members saw this they commented, “How can she sleep up there?” “Maybe we need to tell about this to ‘Shocking of the World,’” and expressed their amazement.
