Infinite Wins Big at “The 27th Golden Disk Awards”

Infinite looked ecstatic after winning a trophy at “The 27^th Golden Disk Awards”. 

The “Golden Disk Awards” is essentially a Korean version of the American “Grammy Awards,” which was held on January 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the Sepang International Circuit. It was a big win for Infinite; they took home two prestigious awards including the “Best Group Performance Award” and one of the “Disk Bonsang Awards. After the awards show, a few of the members responded to questions from the local Malaysian media and fans. 

They looked especially happy and were playfully punching each other while grinning ear to ear. They thanked their fans in both Korean and Malaysia. When asked if they were planning a concert in Malaysia, one of the Infinite group members responded by saying that nothing is planned but to continue being so patient and they will work hard on something.

Actor Kim Bum Attends Event Hosted by Thai Royal Family

Actor Kim Bum received a special invitation to the opening of a famous center by Thailand royalty.

On January 9 the actor was invited the to the opening of the Siam Center Department Store in Bangkok. His invitation and attendance has received hot interest from Koreans because the Siam Center is operated by the Thai royal family.

The opening had a special event called the “First World-Class Super Star Meet” and had the princess of Thailand and several global stars in attendance. British pop singer Taio Cruz, actor Adrian Brody, and other entertainers were part of the special guest list.

Korea’s Kim Bum received an enthusiastic welcome from the reporters and the fans that numbered about a thousand.

A representative of the event said, “Many fans and people gathered to see Kim Bum at the photo zone. Because of his popularity we had twenty bodyguards surrounding him. In Thailand, Kim Bum is one of the popular Korean ‘flower boy actors’ and has great popularity.”

Kim Bum has been cast in the upcoming SBS drama “That Winter, the Wind Blows.”

CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa Says This Is the Happiest Time of His Life Since His Debut

On his Twitter on January 17, CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa stated, “I’ll see you on MBC. Today we have another concert. I love concerts. This is the happiest time of my life since my debut three years ago. I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”

Jung Yong Hwa also added, “ps. Someone I met on the street told me, ‘I love the song you wrote.’ I consider this a success.”

CNBlue has released their fourth mini album “RE: BLUE” on January 14. All of the six songs included in this album were written by CNBlue members. The title song “I’m Sorry,” written by Jung Yong Hwa, is especially receiving a lot of attention due to its chic and strong modern rock rhythm.

Meanwhile, CNBlue will be making its comeback on KBS’s “Music Bank” on January 18, 2013.

Girls’ Generation members reveal how the rumors about Sooyoung and Won Bin started

On the January 17th broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Happy Together‘, Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon and YoonA discussed the behind-the-scenes story of Sooyoung‘s recent ‘scandal’ with Won Bin.

Hyoyeon shared, “Sooyoung did a [screen]capture. She sent a text that read, ‘I got into a scandal with Won Bin. Isn’t it funny?’”, revealing Sooyoung’s first reaction to the news when it broke out. But after the scandal became the #1 most searched headline and started to become more serious, “Sooyoung suffered a bit emotionally,” Hyoyeon said.

YoonA also explained how the rumors came about surprising the other guests and MCs on set. “Won Bin oppa had been photographed going for a swim, so a post titled ‘Won Bin sooyoung’ ['sooyoung' also means 'swimming' in Korean] came up, and netizens thought that ‘Sooyoung’ was referring to Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung,” she explained.

Boyfriend’s Jeongmin tears up on ‘Hello Baby’

Boyfriend‘s Jeongmin shed tears during the recording of the upcoming January 18th broadcast of KBS Joy‘s ‘Boyfriend’s Hello Baby‘.

The members of Boyfriend and the children featured on the show completed filming for a music drama, and then headed to a sauna due to the freezing weather. At the sauna, they surprised Jeongmin with a birthday party, as his birthday had passed on January 2nd.

Minwoo had stolen Jeongmin’s clothes, forcing Jeongmin to stay in the men’s bathing area for some time. By the time he managed to get his clothes and arrive at the scene of the party, the other members and the children were prepared with a birthday cake and seaweed soup (a traditional Korean birthday dish).

Jeongmin stated, “This is so unexpected. It’s a birthday party I’ll always remember,” expressing his thanks to the other members as he teared up unable to hide his surprise and happiness.

Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun almost got involved in a scandal with Hong Suk Chun.

On the January 16 episode of MBC’s talk show “Radio Star,” Kyuhyun admitted, “Honestly, I am a cheater. I love both Super Junior fans and Radio Star fans.”

After Hong Suk Chun’s name came up in conversation, the emcees questioned Kyuhyun, “Don’t you have a lover?” Kyuhyun strongly denied this. However, the emcees teased the singer again by asking, “Didn’t you just come from Itaewon? I can smell Indian food from you.” Kyuhyun shut down the speculation by saying, “I went to Itaewon last week, but I didn’t meet Hong Suk Chun.”

He further joked, “I don’t want my first scandal to be one involving Hong Suk Chun,” making the audience laugh.

Last week, Hong Suk Chun made headlines for playfully hitting on Kyuhyun during “Radio Star.”

CNBLUE’s Jonghyun gets his revenge on SHINee’s Jonghyun

CNBLUE‘s Jonghyun took his cute revenge on SHINee‘s Jonghyun.

Back in May, SHINee’s Jonghyun had pranked CNBLUE’s Jonghyun by gift him with a fake Diablo III. Completely unsuspecting, CNBLUE’s Jonghyun had opened up the disguised box to only find a box of chocolates. SHINee’s Jonghyun had however, later tweeted that he had later actually gotten CNBLUE’s Jonghyun an actual copy online for his birthday.

CNBLUE’s Jonghyun must have taken the prank to heart, because he did the exact same thing back to SHINee’s Jonghyun. He drew CNBLUE on a box and gave Jonghyun snacks instead. He even took a video of Jonghyun opening the box, uploading it onto CNBLUE’s Twitter with the words, “Hello, I’m the Jonghyun that plays guitar. I finally succeeded in the revenge that I’ve been waiting and waiting on. Pwahha kekeke It’s revenge about the Diablo. Kekekekekekeke. Kim Jonghyun I’m sorry kekekeke“.

In the video, SHINee’s Jonghyun seems excited to receive the gift only to be disappointed when he opens the box. SHINee’s Jonghyun then jokingly says, “Want to die?” and “I knew something was fishy when I saw this drawing“.

SHINee’s Jonghyun also responded to the prank by writing, “Thanks, CNB!!^^^^^^^^^^!!!!!!“, but made his way of shortening CNBLUE to sound like a curse.
