Kim Gu Ra says A Pink's songs are not up to SISTAR's level

In a new episode of MBC's 'Four Guys One Girl' that aired on February 14, Kim Gu Ra took to washing the dishes while listening to music after having a feast of a breakfast.  At one point SISTAR's "Loving U" came on and A Pink's Eunji heard this from another room.

She yelled, "You don't even turn on our songs, this is tyranny."  Honey Lee, who was taking care of mother Kim Soon Gwee's skin, sided lightly with Eunji, "What do you think you're doing?" 

Kim Jae Won then came into the picture, taking Kim Gu Ra's cell phone to turn on one of A Pink's songs instead.  However, as he was looking for a song, Kim Gu Ra said, "I don't have any A Pink songs.  Those are the songs I downloaded."

Not giving up, Kim Jae Won said he would turn on another song.  Kim Gu Ra asked why he was doing that as it seemed he had not heard Eunji's words, so Kim Jae Won responded, "Eunji is from A Pink."  However, Kim Gu Ra said bluntly, "Ah, she's asking why I put on SISTAR?  Their songs are not up to SISTAR's standard."

Eunji said, "I heard that!  I won't say that's untrue, but shouldn't you be on my side?" Kim Gu Ra said casually, "You might be good at acting, but when it comes to singing, it's still SISTAR."

Actor Oh Ji Ho to Tie the Knot with Girlfriend in April

It has been reported that actor Oh Ji Ho will be getting married in April.

According to a rep of the actor’s agency, Heavenly Star Contents, “Oh Ji Ho will be marrying his girlfriend three years his junior on April 12 at the Silla Hotel.”

It was previously reported the couple met through mutual friends and has been dating for two years.

On behalf of Oh Ji Ho, his agency stated, “Rather than having a flashy wedding, the couple wishes to conduct the ceremony privately with their families, close relatives, and friends.”

Oh Ji Ho expressed through this agency, “I finally met someone I want to be with and love for the rest of my life. I promise to cherish her and embrace her in love. I ask for your encouragement and blessings for a happy marriage.”

Meanwhile, Oh Ji Ho is currently starring in the OCN drama, “Cheo Yong,” in addition to a new romantic comedy film, “A Rude Girl, A Rough Boy (working title).”

Joo Won Offers a Cute Pout for a Selca

Actor Joo Won showed his enthusiasm for the winter Olympics with a photo and a message.

On February 12, the actor put up a picture on his Twitter account and wrote the message, “I want to give a performance as cool as Lee Sang Hwa! I’m on my way to the arena!.” Lee Sang Hwa was one of the first Korean athletes to win a medal for this year’s Winter Olympics. Her winning performance in speed skating encouraged and excited many Koreans who are following the games.  

In the picture, Joo Won is dressed in a hoodie and a jacket. He looks up at the camera and gives a pout. With his bangs peeking out and that adorable expression, Joo Won looks adorably young and cheeky.

Joo Won is currently in the musical “Ghost” with Ivy.

IU Might Be Female Lead in Korean Version of “Nodame Cantabile”

Singer and actress IU might be Korea’s Ueno Juri in the Korean version of “Nodame Cantabile.”

She exchanged opinions recently with production company Group 8 about taking on the lead role in the Korean version of “Nodame Cantabile.” IU recently played the female lead role another Group 8 production, KBS 2TV’s “Beautiful Man,” so she is a natural choice for “Nodame Cantabile.” However, as specifics about the production have not yet been released, it is still too early to bring up about casting even if IU has expressed her interest in the project.

A broadcasting representative said, “Both sides are looking positively at IU’s appearance. The drama is still in its early stages and since it is looking at being aired in the second half of the year, casting is not an issue that has to be decided on right away. However, IU is certainly at the top of the list.”

The original Japanese drama version starred Ueno Juri as Noda Megumi, a talented piano student with an eccentric character and a passion for music. IU has eccentric as well as talented roles in the past (“Beautiful Man,” “You’re the Best, Lee Soon Shin” and “Dream High“), so this may be why she would be a good fit for the role.

The representative said, “IU may be young, but she has received recognition in the industry for her talent as a singer-songwriter. That is something that she shares in common with Noda Megumi. Also, because she is consistent with her acting, there is a high chance that she will become the heroine of the Korean version of ‘Nodame Cantabile.’”

Manga artist Tomoko Ninomiya’s “Nodame Cantabile” first appeared in a Japanese manga magazine in 2001, and was adapted into a drama starring Ueno Juri and Tamaki Hiroshi (Chiaki Shinichi) in 2006 by Fuji TV. The drama spawned an anime version, as well as two movie sequels to the drama.

Group 8 is aiming for their production of “Nodame Cantabile” to be broadcast within the year.

Third Set of Girls’ Generation Teaser Pictures Feature Tiffany, Yuri and Sooyoung

With the “Mr. Mr.” teaser images for Tiffany, Yuri and Sooyoung released today, the complete set of all nine members has now been revealed.

Although it was recently revealed that their comeback may be delayed for up to two weeks due to losing the data for the music video, the original schedule had the music video set for release on February 19, followed by the album on February 24.

“Mr.Mr.” is a dance track that charms with its R&B sound. It was created by production team The Underdogs, which has worked with famous pop artists like Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Chris Brown.
