‘Laws of the Jungle’ remains the king of Friday varieties

 

‘Laws of the Jungle 3‘ is officially the king of the Friday varieties, once again coming in as #1, remaining untouchable.

 

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, the April 5th broadcast of ‘Laws of the Jungle 3′ achieved an impressive 16.2% viewer ranking which is a 0.5% increase from its previous viewer rating of 15.7%. The show has been maintaining its #1 spot in viewer rankings for its time slot for the past several months, seemingly unbeatable.

 

Meanwhile, MBC‘s ‘Dancing With the Stars 3‘ and KBS 2TV‘s ‘VJ Special Forces‘ achieved a 8.2% and 8.0% viewer ranking, respectively, as the other Friday variety shows of the main broadcasting stations.

Kim Nam Gil Joins Son Ye Jin in New Drama

 

Great news for Kim Nam Gil fans! The actor is finally making his post-military screen return with a new role in the drama “Shark,” co-starring Son Ye Jin.

 

It’s been three years since fans have seen Kim Nam Gil on the small screen. His last project was “Bad Guy” before his mandatory military enlistment and after completing his duty, Kim Nam Gil has been busy working as a producer for the movie “Ensemble.”

 

Kim Nam Gil will play the lead role of Han Yi Soo in “Shark,” which is a story of a man who must turn against the woman he loves for revenge. “Shark” will be directed and written by the team that produced the critically-appraised dramas, “Resurrection” and “The Devil.”

 

The month of May will be a busy month for Kim Nam Gil as he films for “Shark” and promotes his movie, “Ensemble.” The movie is set to premier mid-May and “Shark” will take over May 27 after “God of the Workplace” ends.

 

Now the big question for fans is, “Will we be seeing some post-military abs from Kim Nam Gil?”

In the picture, Kang Min Hyuk is sporting a pastel-look as he is wearing a light yellow t-shirt. With his beautiful smile standing outside on a bright sunny spring day, Kang Min Hyuk looks handsome in the photo.

 

Netizens that saw this picture admired, “He makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside,” “Such a sweet guy,” “Spring must be here.”

 

In other news, CNBlue recently proved their popularity in Japan as their DVD of “Arena Tour 2013- Come On!!! -@ Saitama Super Arena,” released on March 20, reached the second place on Japanese Oricon Music DVD weekly chart. CNBlue is to start its 2013 World Tour starting on April 6 in Taiwan.   

 

 

Park Ki Woong of “Bridal Mask” Sets Enlistment Date

 

Sad news! Actor Park Ki Woong, who recently starred in “Bridal Mask” and “Full House 2”, has announced his military enlistment date. Fans, mark October 4 as a day of tears.

 

Park Ki Woong will be joining the Seoul District Police Department Public Relations Office upon his enlistment. Other celebrities currently enlisted in the department are actor Lee Je Hoon from the movie “Introduction to Architecture” and drama “Fashion King” and actor/singer Kim Joon from “Boys Over Flowers” and K-Pop group T-Max.

 

In related news, Park Ki Woong recently finished filming for the movie, “Secretly and Greatly,” which also features Kim Soo Hyun (“The Moon that Embraces the Sun” )and Lee Hyun Woo (“To the Beautiful You”). The movie is based on a webtoon of the same name that was about a handsome North Korean spy who acts like the village idiot. The movie is expected to premier in the latter half of 2013. 

BTOB to Make a Comeback on April 10!

 

 

BTOB is all set to make a comeback this year! The boys will be releasing a new single titled “Second Confession” this month.

 

According to Cube Entertainment, the group’s agency, “This single is a way for the group to say thank you to their fans for all the support they gave the boys in 2012. Last year, they showed off their tough and charismatic sides so this time they plan to show off their soft yet masculine side.” The agency also added that “the song will have a sweet and pleasant melody.”

 

This digital single marks BTOB’s return to the music scene this year. Their last release was the EP, “Press Play” that was released late September last year.
