“The filming begins in the morning and the traveling time is long so many female guests are exhausted by the time they arrive. That is why when they arrive at the filming location, we tell the female actresses to rest a bit and come back. For the most part, the female actresses will go rest for a while and come back. So at the time, we advised Song Ji Hyo to rest up a bit and come back. But upon hearing this, Song Ji Hyo didn’t even respond and just immediately fell asleep”, bringing laughter with Song Ji Hyo’s stern look.

Presence of High Heels in “Jang Ok Jung, Live in Love” Is Explained

Recently, SBS’s drama “Jang Ok Jung, Live in Love” became the center of controversy.

On the third episode, which was aired on April 16, actress Kim Tae Hee was spotted with a pair of high heels. In addition, the presence of a mannequin in the drama was also noted with confusion. Many criticisms were made since neither heels nor mannequins existed in the Joseon era.

To this controversy, a representative from the drama stated, “Please remember that this is a fusion sageuk. In the storyline, Jang Ok Jung appears as a designer, and therefore we had to add certain modern items that are fashion-related. As for the mannequin, we made it using wooden furniture. We needed a structure for Jang Ok Jung to hang her Hanbok.”

Fans that heard this explanation commented, “I guess it is possible that high heels were introduced to Korea early,” “This was not the correct time period. The writers should have been more careful.”

miss A’s Suzy is Queen of modeling contracts, breaks $8.9 million USD mark in terms of contract fees

Suzy has become a ’10 Billion won’ girl!

After she debuted as a member of miss A in 2010, she signed her first endorsement contract in February 2012. In the 14 months since her first contract, she has signed endorsement contracts with a whopping 22 different companies, totaling over 10,000,000,000 KRW (approximately $8.9 million USD) in contract fees.

She’s the #1 CF model among all girl group members, and she also has the most modeling endorsements among all female celebrities. Currently, she commands a fee of 600,000,000 KRW (approximately $540,000 USD) per endorsement, similar to the rates of YoonA along with top actresses such as Jeon Ji Hyun and Song Hye Gyo. Although there are other actresses that command higher fees on a per endorsement basis, these actresses do not have nearly as many modeling contracts as Suzy does.

One of the reasons why Suzy is so desirable is because of her image. One representative from a CF agency stated, “Normal idols have the limitation of being just an idol. But when Suzy has her solo activities, she can expand and become an actress. Since she’s both an idol and an actress, she has the best conditions available as an endorsement model. Most of the consumers are in their 30s and 40s, and their support for Suzy is incredible. In terms of idols, most endorsements will go to either Girls’ Generation or Suzy.

Her clean and scandal-less image also helps matters. A marketer said, “Many idols find themselves in numerous rumors after their debut, but Suzy is pretty much immune to it and doesn’t have that many antis. For the most part, she has never created a huge problem. Because she’s maintained her innocent image, she receives such a good response.

Suzy is currently the endorsement model for Vita500, Bean Pole Outdoor, Post Office Bank, Domino’s Pizza, Demark Yogurt, Smart School Uniform, TN, Caribbean Bay, Roem, Sumi Chip, Canon, Lolita Lempicka, Sudden Attack, Nintendo, Reebok, Swarovski, the Korean Tourism Organization, Tagatose, Xylose, On the Body, Galaxy Pop, and The Face Shop.

Imposter Creates a Facebook Account in Actress Park Shin Hye’s Name
On April 17, actress Park Shin Hye tweeted, “On the ‘People You May Know’ on Facebook, I saw my own name popping up. When I checked it out, the account was under my name, and the photos, schools, and even the friends and acquaintances listed on this account were exactly the same as my own.  What is going on…?”

The “People You May Know” function of Facebook recommends people users might already know in person. Park Shin Hye found out about the fake account by the imposter who impersonated her on Facebook and even befriended her friends.

Fans that heard this news commented, “Impersonating Park Shin Hye… Who would do such a thing?” “You really need to be careful,” “This is scary.”

Meanwhile, this is not the first time celebrities suffered from impersonations on social media networks. Stars that went through similar problems include MC Yoo Jae Suk, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, and Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung.
