Those lucky fans who attended ‘2013 INFINITE Fan Meeting‘ held at the Seoul Olympic Park on March 1st had a chance to witness the interaction between MC of the night actor Kwak Jung Wook (whom you might remember from the drama ‘School 2013‘) and INFINITE.

 

Kwak Jung Wook, who has been a close friend of the group and even once considered as part of the line up of INFINITE, ranked the members on the level of their acting skills.

 

As someone who knows the members even better than the fans, he revealed his top 3 pick, commenting, “Dongwoo is third place. Dongwoo acts better than Woohyun. It’s like the everyday life of Dongwoo itself seems like acting. Sungyeol is 2nd. We once auditioned for a drama together and we helped each other out a lot. He is a friend who can act well.”

 

As for his #1 pick? “I think the #1 spot in the actors ranking definitely goes to Hoya,” he shared.

Lim Jeong Hee to return with pre-release of duet “It’s Been a While” with Herz Analog

Talented songstress Lim Jeong Hee will be returning with a brand new release!

 

Her full comeback is apparently not until May, which is practically ages away, but she will be pre-releasing a track in March!

 

The pre-release will be a duet with singer-songwriter Herz Analog, and is actually a new version of Herz Analog’s “It’s Been a While“. In order to keep the original feel of the song, the song was not re-arranged as typical of covers and the singers used the original master recording. Lim Jeong Hee will also be teaming up with producer Bang Shi Hyuk who also produced her previous single “Golden Lady” for the track.

 

Lim Jeong Hee shared, “As I am preparing for my comeback this May, I thought a lot about collaborating with talented artists. I came across Herz Analog’s music by chance and I loved his warm emotions. I came to him with a song request first, and recorded this special song.”

 

The duet will be released on March 8th!

miss A‘s Fei is definitely showing herself to be the representative ‘chef-idol’ as she claimed another win!

 

On the second episode of ‘Master Chef Korea Celebrity‘, Fei, Tony Ahn, Son Ho Young, Shin Bong Sun, Hwayobi, Super Junior- Henry, Lee Kye In, Kim Sung Soo, and Shin Eun Jung battled it out in the kitchen for the mystery box challenge of recreating Chef Kang Leo’s salmon dish.

 

Fei continued to shock the judges with her cooking skills upon tasting her salmon dish. Judge Kim So Hee commented, “As I keep chewing, the salmon becomes even smoother in texture.” Kang Leo also complimented Fei stating, “Fei’s salmon tastes the most delicious.”

 

With Fei winning the ‘mystery box’ challenge, the rest of the contestants were forced to compete once again through the ‘elimination mission’, which led to the elimination of Lee Kye In.

SHINee holds guerilla concert at Gangnam club

SHINee thanked their fans for the enormous support they’ve received with “Dream Girl“. To celebrate the success of their latest comeback, the idol group held a guerilla concert at the Octagon club in Gangnam, Seoul on the 2nd at 1AM KST.

 

SHINee performed their new single “Dream Girl” as well as remix versions of their past hit songs. Taemin recently turned 20 years old, making all of the members of SHINee old enough to enter the club.

Who won ‘Birth of a Great Star 3′?

Drumroll, please… and the winner of MBC‘s ‘Birth of a Great Star 3‘ is none other than Han Dong Geun!

The show aired its finale on March 1st, and it was an intense battle between the ‘Top 2′ contestants Park Soo Jin and Han Dong Geun. The winner’s hat went to Han Dong Geun who blew the judges and viewers away with his final performance of Boohwal‘s hit classic “Never Ending Story“. Han Dong Geun revealed his reason for choosing the song, stating, “I want to have a never-ending story like the song title.”

Judge Brave Brothers had only good things to say about the performance, sharing, “Han Dong Geun’s style has charm. It was an amazing stage filled with emotion.” Singer Kim Yeon Woo also commented, “It showed the significance of the final challenge.” Kim Tae Won, the leader of Boohwal who wrote the song, was also impressed: “It was like I could touch your voice with my hands.”

Has HaHa shrunk?

 

HaHa was disappointed by his own height on ‘Infinity Challenge‘.

 

The March 2nd episode featured a special called ‘Competition Against Myself’, and the cast members started off by getting their health examined.

 

When the cast’s measurements and vitals were compared to last year, it was revealed that HaHa actually shrank in height. He previously measured in at 172.5cm (5’7.9″), but apparently, the singer is now 171.4cm (5’7.5″) tall.

 

Disappointed, HaHa whined, “How can I shrink?” while the other cast members made fun of him.

 

It’s okay. Byul probably doesn’t mind.

ZE:A‘s Kwanghee and Girl’s Day‘s Minah had viewers on the edge of their seats. The two idols tried out cheerleading stunts on March 2nd’s ‘Star King‘ with the 2013 national Korean team.


Big Tide, the national team that won bronze at the Asian championship, showed some impressive moves such as a 7m (~22’11″) throw. Kwanghee and Minah both successfully attempted a pyramid formation with the team. Minah expressed, “This is seriously the best,” after the professional cheerleaders hoisted her up into the air.


Kwanghee, on the other hand, was a bit more fearful, saying, “I trust you all,” as he screamed in horror. The cheerleaders commented, “I thought he was going to give birth,” referring to Kwanghee’s yelling.

Actor Lee Jong Suk reveals he’s mistaken as a flirt

Two of the hottest actors at the moment, Lee Jong Suk and Joo Won, are apparently misunderstood “flirts.”

 

Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin shared how it was working with each other on the KBS 2TV drama ‘School 2013‘. The two co-stars also revealed their differences in taste when it comes to skinship.

 

Kim Woo Bin, who is close friends with Lee Jong Suk, shared, “Jong Suk has a lot of aegyo. Although I’m the type to have a lot of aegyo as well, I’m nothing compared to Jong Suk. Jong Suk is the first person I’ve seen who doesn’t act differently with male or female, young or old and naturally shows aegyo. He was born with it.”

 

Lee Jong Suk explained, “I grew up thinking that I was manly, but everyone kept saying that I had a lot of aegyo. That is why recently I admitted that I do have a lot of aegyo. I usually do a lot of skinship, so I like talking with people while holding their hands whether they’re a boy or a girl. If I’m with someone I’m comfortable with, I hug and pat them. Actress Han Hyo Joo was among the beautiful celebrities featured on “InStyle Magazine” for its 10th year anniversary edition. In celebration of the magazine’s milestone decade, the people behind “InStyle” chose to launch a charity project and enlisted the help of people to work on the magazine pro-bono.
