In his interview with a local news agency on October 14, he said, “Until now I appeared on variety shows a lot more than others, but now I think I need to stop doing it so much.” He continued, “It’s not something people should feel disappointed or hurt by, though. When asked if there are any stories from the film set, he humbly replied, “It’s a matter of course that there will be difficulties while filming a movie.  The fact that I’m shooting a movie at all is an episode for me, and that I’m doing my best with a beginner’s mindset is really all there is to it.”

He further explained about filming the movie, “When I filmed a movie previously, I got good reviews, but the reviews lost a lot of meaning because many people didn’t remember my acting, and honestly, that was a little upsetting. With this new movie, I want to bring back the reviews for my acting.”

Lee Joon’s new movie “Rough Play” will premiere on October 24, where he plays his first main role as Oh Young, showing a drastic new side of himself.

Dongwan will no longer be participating in JTBC's 'Shinhwa Broadcast'

Shinhwa member Dongwan will not be participating in the second season of JTBC's 'Shinhwa Broadcast'. He will be leaving the program in order to focus on his acting.

On October 15, Dongwan's agency said, "Dongwan will no longer be participating in the second season of 'Shinhwa Broadcast,' which is set to premiere in November. For now, he plans to appear in front of his fans as an actor.

We have decided that it was too physically and mentally exhausting for him to be a fixed participant of a variety program throughout an entire year on top of focusing on his activities as a part of Shinhwa and as an actor . . . He decided to leave the show after he received the consent of the other Shinhwa members as well as the production crew."

Most netizens expressed their disappointment that they would not be able to see all the Shinhwa members together for the program while some wished Dongwan luck with his acting career.  Meanwhile, Dongwan will be the main protagonist for the musical 'Le Passe Muraille,' which opens on November 13.
