The handsome actor has been diligently working on the movie “Secretly and Greatly” (also known as “Covertness“) since October and finally wrapped up filming on March 8. After taking a short but well deserved break, Kim Soo Hyun is expected to return to schedule.

 

 

A representative of his agency Key East Entertainment said in a statement, “The movie has finally been cranked up. Now that he has time he will devote his time to promotional activities…During his break he has already received drama offers and he will be reviewing them.”

 

 

It’s no mystery why he is so desirable. With success that he had with his last drama, “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” Kim Soo Hyun had established himself as the hot male lead. Add on the commercial success of his movie “The Thieves“, Kim Soo Hyun had his face all over Korea and no one minded. Since then his fans have been waiting patiently for his return.

 

 

“Secretly and Greatly” is expected to air in June of this year, confirmed the representative. “Kim Soo Hyun will not just be looking for advertising or events, but also good acting opportunities.”

 

 

“Secretly and Greatly” is based off of a 2010 webtoon about a handsome North Korean spy who acts like the village idiot. Park Ki Woong, Lee Hyun Woo, Son Hyun Joo, and others will also star in the movie.

2AM’s Seulong’s Dream Is to Propose on Live TV

On the recent episode of KBS’s variety talk show “Hello,” which aired on March 11, 2AM’s members appeared as special guests.

 

As they have recently released a new album “One Spring Day,” MC Lee Young Ja asked, “Spring is supposed to be a season of love. Do you guys have any romantic way you would like to propose in the future?”

2AM‘s Seulong shared his story about his first love and the after effects of his breakup in his early twenties.

 

On March 12, guests So Yi Hyun, Bae Soo Bin, Seulong and Kim Jae Dong appeared for the SBS talk show, “Hwa Shin.”

 

During the episode, Seulong shared, “My first true love was when I was around 20 or 21 years old. At that time, we dated for about two years,” and “We liked each other but because of reality, we had no choice but to break up.”

 

Seulong continued, “After breaking up with my girlfriend, I couldn’t sleep. I just blankly sat down until 8AM. I fell asleep without knowing and when I did wake up, the first thing I did was to check my phone to see if she texted me. It was really hard for about two weeks. I lost over 10 pounds.”

 

Seulong also revealed that he wrote a lot of songs during that time out of heartbreak. He said, “I still have the lyrics that I wrote back then. They’re really good even when I look at them now.” He confessed that he thinks back to that time when he struggles with writing music.

Lee Jong Suk: “I Want to Play the Role of Homme Fatale or Evil Psychopath in the Future”

Rising star Lee Jong Suk proved his potential with KBS “School 2013” and is now filming upcoming film “Physiognomy.”

 

He commented, “I still get a lot of offers to play a high school student role. The character of Go Nam Soon was so great. I don’t think I will be able to play another high school student unless the character is better than Go Nam Soon. I want to try new things now. I want to play an homme fatale character in a melodrama or an evil psychopathic villain. I want to be in two films and two dramas this year. That’s my goal.”

 

Watching TV at home has been Lee Jong Suk’s hobby since he was young. He started to aspire to become an actor from watching Rain from “Full House” and Kang Dong Won in “Temptation of Wolf.” But the opportunity presented itself to him in a slightly different way than expected. He first made his debut as a fashion model and then was training to become an idol. During his trainee period, he got a chance to act. Sometimes I feel like I can’t even breathe. But at the same time, just from being there, being among all these great actors, I feel like I’m learning a lot. Song Gang Ho presents different tones and pitches in filming the same scene, always trying new things. He surprised me recently in a scene where he was slapping across my face, because he just did it without talking about it with me. It just happened.”

 

Lee Jong Suk picks Kang Dong Won as his role model. They have the common background of being fashion models before making their debut as actors, but what Lee Song Suk sees in Kang Dong Won is just not their common backgrounds. He said that he will never be able to forget Kang Dong Won’s aura in playing the role of “Sad Eyes” in film “Duelist.”

Recently, behind the scene photos of actress Lee Min Jung from the set of SBS’s upcoming drama “All About My Romance” were released.

In this new drama, which is set in the world of politics, she is to play the role of a rookie parliament assembly member following the footsteps of her sister who passed away. FTIsland releases a teaser for its Japanese song “You Are My Life”

On the 11th of March, FTIsland’s agency announced: “‘You Are My Life” is a sweet ballad dedicated to a lover. On the 8th of March, we released a teaser for the song on our YouTube channel. In the teaser, the group is playing the song in a church during a wedding ceremony as the bride walks down the aisle.

The music video was shot in the old-world atmosphere of a church located in an out-of-the-way part of Tokyo. The set was decorated with rose petals, creating a romantic mood.

“You Are My Life” is FTIsland’s tenth Japanese single. It will go on sale on the 27th of March. The release will be preceded by an official Japanese fan meeting on the 17th.

Stardom Entertainment recently announced that rookie girl group, EvoL will be making a comeback this month. The group will be releasing their second mini album, “Second Evolution”. Tickets to CNBlue’s Hong Kong concert sold out in five minutes

 

The rock band CNBlue (Jung Yong Wha, Lee Jong Hyun, Kang Min Hyuk, and Lee Jung Sin) achieved a new record by selling out their Hong Kong concert tickets in just five minutes. On the 12th of March, CNBlue’s agency, FNC entertainment, announced that all 7,000 tickets to the Hong Kong concert, which will be held on May 11 and is part of the group’s Asian tour, titled “Blue Moon,” sold out immediately after ticket sales began. This is regarded as a positive indicator of a successful tour. The agency also said, “We are raising our expectations for the success of the tour because we’ve already been receiving inquiries about ticket sales in Taiwan and Thailand, where we haven’t even started selling tickets yet.

 

The band will hold their concert in Taiwan on April 6, Singapore on April 13, Thailand on May 4, and Hong Kong on May 11, and will be back to perform for Korean fans on May 25 to 26 in Seoul.

2Works reveals DMTN members may be promoting individually for the time being

With the outbreak about the news of DMTN‘s Daniel being involved with distribution of marijuana, attention has been shed on what their agency, 2Works, plans to do with the group as of now.

 

For those of you just catching up now, Daniel was previously said to be under the suspicion of smoking and selling marijuana. However, 2Works released a press release clarifying the charges and stated that unlike what had been previously conveyed in various reports, Daniel had not smoked marijuana nor sold it, but rather had served as an intermediary.

 

The group had initially planned on releasing a new album in May, but with Daniel being swept up in controversy, there is no doubt that plans may be changing.

 

2Works commented, “We have not yet received the final ruling on Daniel’s involvement. However, Daniel wants to pay the consequences and carry out the punishment dealt to him for his wrongdoing… For the time being, we are currently looking for individual activities the members can carry out without Daniel. For the members who are currently already carrying out activities, they will be continuing with them.”

 

On Daniel’s current state, the agency added, “He is feeling very sorry to the company, the members, and those around him. The shock he has received is great. We think he’ll need to find some stableness.”

 

So far, there is no report about any of their schedules being canceled, so it remains to be seen whether things will stay that way, and if the members will promote without Daniel at group events.

During a recent filming for ‘Thank You’, G-Dragon made some delicious ‘Chapaguri‘ for ballerina Kang Soo Jin, comedian Kim Mi Hwa, and actor Cha In Pyo.

 

For those who don’t already know, ‘Chapaguri’ has quickly become the biggest food sensation in Korea these days following the nation watching little Yoon Hoo on the hit variety show ‘Dad, Where Are You Going?‘ devour the dish. ‘Chapaguri‘ is a combination of ‘Chapagetti‘ (instant jjajangmyun) and ‘Neoguri‘ ramen.

 

G-Dragon shared, “I’ve never cooked for someone before. It’s delicious so I make it by myself sometimes.” Kim Mi Hwa responded watching him cook, “I am touched that G-Dragon is cooking for us.”

SM Entertainment responds to criticism about actress Lee Yeon Hee’s behavior at script reading

Lee Yeon Hee‘s name soared to the top of search rankings due to her behavior spotted in a clip during the script reading for the new MBC drama ‘Book of the House of Gu‘.

 

The controversy began when MBC unveiled a video of the script reading session for the drama on their homepage. Upon watching the video, netizens noticed Lee Yeon Hee’s inattentive attitude towards the cast and crew. Although the other celebrities, sunbaes as well as hoobaes, greeted and clapped for their fellow cast mates, Lee Yeon Hee seemed as if she was more interested in the objects in front of her.

 

In addition to not clapping or looking at the other cast mates as they were introduced, she also didn’t seem to pay much attention when the PD himself offered his greeting and spoke about the project.

 

With the issue growing slightly out of hand, MBC commented, “Lee Yeon Hee had a lot of lines to go over for the reading. She was focusing on the script so she greeted the other actors by exchanging eye contact at the time. It’s hard to say there was a problem with her attitude just because she’s not clapping.”

 

However, netizens were not phased by the explanation, and led SM Entertainment to offer their statement on the issue. They commented, “The atmosphere during the script reading was good. She greeted the directors, writers, and cast in a good manner, but it seems a misunderstanding arose due to how the video was edited.”

 

‘The Book of Gu’ representative also commented along the lines of SM’s statement, saying, “Although it wasn’t shown on screen due to editing, Lee Yeon Hee also clapped like her other cast mates and showed her support for the actors and actresses.”
