Infinite Reveals Casual Yet Cool Off-duty Look for Vogue Girl

The seven members of Infinite gathered for a photoshoot with Vogue Girl to update Inspirits on their whereabouts after wrapping up their summer concert.

A representative of the fashion magazine revealed, “We held a photoshoot with group Infinite, who made their impressive comeback with ‘Back‘ and followed up with ‘That Summer 2‘ concert.” The charming men were asked to showcase their casual and relaxed ‘post-concert’ look, and to find out more about their plans, the members took turns to share what they have recently been up to.

L revealed that he is preparing for a new drama, whereas Sungyeol and Woohyun shared fun behind-the-scenes stories of filming KBS2TV’s “High School: Love On.”

While Hoya expressed his great interest in writing sexy lyrics, Sunggyu revealed his growing sense of responsibility as the group’s leader. Dongwoo confessed to crying during his solo stage, and Sungjong shared his thoughts on kicking off his career as an MC.

Chun Jung Myung Praises Kim So Hyun’s Potential as an Actress and Compares Her to Moon Geun Young

On August 20, the production press conference for the new OCN drama, “Reset” was held in Gangnam. Present at the conference were actors Chun Jung Myung, Kim So Hyun, Park Won Sang, Shin Eun Jung, and producer Kim Pyung Joong.

During the interview, Chun Jung Myung was asked, “In the past you’ve worked with actressMoon Geun Young. How do you compare Moon Geun Young and Kim So Hyun?”

Chun Jung Myung answered, “Moon Geun Young is a great actress. She is passionate about acting and she really puts a lot of effort into it. But I think Kim So Hyun will be as good of an actress as Moon Geun Young. She doesn’t seem like she would be in her third year in middle school. Not only her looks but she has a strong mentality as well. I can tell when we talk or the way she behaves. She is very polite and selfless, so it’s easy to work well with her since we both consider the other actor’s situation and adjust ourselves in the best way for a better scene. She also has an unbelievable charm that can possibly make her one of the greatest actresses of our time. I get shocked from time to time during filming.”

Meanwhile, “Reset” is a memory chasing thriller that tells the story of the battle between a prosecutor that is strict about crimes and an unknown entity that his hidden in the shadows. The team aims to make this a well-made drama that combines the thriller genre with the idea of digging deeper into specific memories and tracing them throughout a big case. It’s set to premier its first episode this coming Sunday August 24.

YG Entertainment Acquires 61.1 Billion Won Investment from LVMH, Looks Into Expanding to Fashion and Cosmetics Industry

The French luxury goods giant, LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) has decided on its investment of 61.1 billion won (approximately USD 59.7 million) into YG Entertainment, with a possibility of increasing up to 80 billion won (approximately USD 80 million) that could help the entertainment company’s expansion in the fashion and cosmetics industry.

On August 20, YG Entertainment announced that it will sell a total of 61.1 billion won (USD 59.7 million) worth of new shares to LVMH’s Asian trading arm, L Capital Asia.

L Capital Asia is also looking into buying 20.4 billion won (approximately USD 20 million) worth of additional shares from YG Entertainment’s CEO and founder, Yang Hyun Suk. Further details regarding the investment deal will be announced after it is finalized in the shareholders’ meeting that will be held on August 27.

With the 1.25 million convertible preferred shares priced at 44,900 won each that can be converted into common stocks after a year coupled with the additional shares that it is looking into acquiring, LVMH will become the second largest shareholder of YG Entertainment.

According to YG Entertainment’s regulatory filing on August 20, the stake sale is aimed for the company’s long-term development and entry into new business.

Speculations regarding YG Entertainment’s foray into the fashion and cosmetics industry are increasing as YG Entertainment and LVMH are said to be in talks for a strategic partnership according to Eai-Jin Song of YG Entertainment’s investor relations team in a report by Reuters.

According to earlier reports, YG Entertainment is set to launch fashion brand “NONA9ON” by next month. The brand, which is in collaboration with Cheil Industries of Samsung Group’s fashion division, will target the trendy youth and will feature YG Entertainment’s fashionistas BIGBANG’s G-Dragon and 2NE1′s CL as models.

The company has also expanded its business into the cosmetics industry with its collaboration with China’s Guangzhou Huanya Cosmetics Technology and Korea’s COSON last year.

Uhm Tae Woong Takes Selca With His Driver Daughter

On August 20, Uhm Tae Woong released a selca on his Instagram with the caption, “MissUhm Ji Ohn, the model driver.”

In the photo, father and daughter are close and posing towards the camera in the driver seat of his parked car. The fact that his daughter had her hands on the wheels of the car brought smiles to the fans.

Uhm Tae Woong’s management agency, Sim Entertainment, commented that this photo was taken during his family vacation trip to Jaeju Island. He had been waiting for a meeting with an acquaintance so he took a comic selca with his daughter after he parked his car. They commented, “Uhm Tae Woong’s love for his daughter is like no other. Rest assured that even when he takes a photo he puts the safety of his daughter first.”

Later that day he posted a couple other photos on his Instagram with the caption, “End of vacation, going back home,” showing his love for his wife and daughter. His wife looks especially happy while holding their daughter. And his exceptional love could be seen through the photos of his daughter’s lips and foot.

Meanwhile, Uhm Tae Woong and his wife Yoon Hye Jin got married January of last year and had their daughter, Uhm Ji Ohn, in June later that year.

Super Junior’s First Comeback Stage Set for “Music Bank” on August 29

Super Junior is finally returning with their seventh official full-length album “Mamacita (Ayaya)!”

Starting with the August 29 broadcast of KBS’ “Music Bank,” Super Junior will be presenting their very first comeback stage for this upcoming album’s promotion cycle. They will then continue on with MBC’s “Show! Music Core” on August 30, as well as SBS’ “Inkigayo” on August 31, as they set out on their full-fledged group activities.

The new album is the group’s first comeback in over two years, since the release of “Sexy, Free & Single” in July of 2012, so fans will be able to expect an evolved music color and more mature charms from the members.

Super Junior is scheduled to be opening up their world tour “Super Show 6,” beginning on September 19-21 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, before heading off to China, Japan, Thailand, and more.

Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun Donates Goods to Raise Funds for Refugee Children in Syria

Girls’ Generation member Seohyun is receiving attention for her giving heart, as she donated some of her possessions in order to raise funds in support of Syrian refugee children.

It has been reported that Seohyun personally donated a signed purse and sneakers to the charity concert “Happy Day,” which was held on August 21 at The Laville in Gangnam, for the purpose of raising funds through a water and sanitation project to support refugee children in Syria.

The “Happy Day” charity concert is an event prepared by actor Jun Kwang Ryul and his family. It appears that Seohyun took part in the donation for the charity auction hosted at the concert, as she was able to meet and become close with the senior actor after appearing on SBS’ “Passionate Love” together.
