f(x)’s Krystal Chosen as Number One for ‘Airport Fashion’ Among Idols (With a Plot Twist!)

Girl group f(x)’s member Krystal has been voted as “Ultimate Airport Fashion Idol.”

The ranking category for this week’s broadcast of Mnet’s “Super Idol Chart Show,” hosted by Ryeowook of Super Junior and Dongwoon of BEAST, revealed the top 10 idols with the best airport fashion.

Airport fashion has become established as an important part of displaying trends and styles of all celebrities. Fans are always interested to see how idol stars showcase their distinctive styles on an everyday basis when they aren’t on stage.

The results of the survey were as follows:

Krystal took charge of the top spot with 28.7% of total votes, confirming that she is indeed a representative fashionista in the industry. She especially received a lot of votes from the female population, proving that her style is one of the best, even in the eyes of females.

However, there was a plot twist in the rankings, as BIGBANG’s G-Dragon came in zero place. Yes, you read that right – not first place, but zero! He received an overwhelming 56.7% of the total votes, rendering him untouchable. This is the first time that “Super Idol Chart Show has chosen a zero-place ranking due to the huge difference in votes.

Teen Top Members Have a Debate About Being Friends with the Opposite Sex

Teen Top’s L.Joe and Chunji stated that it is possible for people to feel more comfortable with friends of the opposite gender than those of the same gender.

On Y-STAR’s “Teen Top Never Stop in Guam,” the female staff asked the members of the group to act as their counselors and provide them with advice on relationship problems. One of the problems brought up by a staff member was that she feels troubled by the fact that her boyfriend has so many female friends, which lead to various answers from Teen Top.

Chunji and L.Joe replied that it was completely understandable for her boyfriend to have a lot of female friends, while the other members (C.A.P, Niel, Ricky, and Changjo) argued that her boyfriend was in the wrong.

L.Joe and Chunji explained their position, “There are people out there who feel much more comfortable with friends of the opposite gender,” and that it is hard for them to understand those who do not have any opposite-sex friends.

C.A.P and Niel tried to explain the other side by saying, “If the same situation with the opposite-sex friend gets repetitive, it will be hard to bear,” as they acted out a possible scenario of what could happen in that kind of relationship.

Super Junior-M Suits Up for “Cosmopolitan Korea”

Super Junior-M recently shot a pictorial and gave an interview with “Cosmopolitan Korea.” 

On May 2, “Cosmopolitan Korea” released the group’s photos and interview excerpt online. Super Junior-M had made their comeback recently since one year and three months ago when they were last active as a subunit.The subunit experienced great success with their activities both abroad and at home. 

The concept for the photo shoot was dressing up in colorful suits, revealing their polished and suave look. 

In the interview, the members were asked, “If you all were going to work at a company in real-life, which characters do you think each of you would assume?” Eunhyuk replied, “I don’t think Henry would actually fit into the company atmosphere. I think the best person suited for the life of a company employee among us is Sungmin hyung.” 

Kyuhyun added, “I think Eunhyuk hyung would be the type of character that is promoted quicky.”

IU Will Be Holding a Concert for Victims of Sewol Ferry Incident

IU will be holding a concert for those who have been affected by the Sewol Ferry incident and entire amount will be donated to the victims.

From May 22 through May 25 and from May 29 to June 1, IU will be holding a total of eight shows at the Sogang University’s Mary Hall. The name of the solo concert will be, “Just one step…Just As Much As That.” According to an official from IU’s agency, they said, “IU has expressed her opinion of wanting to donate the entire amount that was earned through this small concert.”

For this concert, the agency explained that they are planning on delivering good music in a small space so that the audience can relate. Unlike the large concert that was held at Kyung Hee University during November of last year, a different kind of fun and affection will be shown.

Meanwhile, IU is planning on releasing an album this month consisting of classic songs that has been remade to match her voice and tone.

More of Your Favorite Variety Shows to Return This Weekend

Excluding music shows, weekend variety shows will begin to return in their normal broadcast schedules starting this week. After halting the broadcasts of all variety programs  since the tragic Sewol ferry attack two weeks ago, broadcast companies have decided to start broadcasting new episodes of weekend variety shows.

Starting from May 3, KBS 2TV‘s “Entertainment Weekly,” MBC‘s “We Got Married,” ”Infinity Challenge,” and “Change the World Quiz,” and SBS‘ “Star Junior Show” and “Star King” will start to broadcast new episodes on their regular schedules. On May 4, KBS 2TV’s “Super Man Returns” and “1 Night, 2 Days,” MBC’s “Daddy! Where Are We Going?” and SBS’ “Running Man” and “Roommate” will also broadcast on their regular time slot. MBC’s “Real Men” will not air on Sunday.

Although weekend variety shows will begin to broadcast in their normal schedules, the broadcasts of music shows and comedy programs will still be postponed until a later date. KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank,” “Immortal Song,” and “Gag Concert,” MBC’s “Show! Music Core” and “Comedy Road,” and SBS’ “Ootchasa” and “Inkigayo” will not be broadcasted this weekend.

In regards to the postponed shows, a broadcast representative expressed, “The Sewol tragedy has not been concluded so a change in broadcast schedule is quite possible.”

SM, Universal Music Japan and AVEX Collaborate to Establish Everysing Japan

SM Entertainment will be holding hands with AVEX Group Holdings and Universal Music Japan to start a new company in Japan.

SM Entertainment’s representative Lee Soo Man met with Universal Music Japan’s president Naoshi Fujikura and Shinji Hayashi of Avex Vanguard on April 30 to talk about establishing “Everysing Japan.” “Everysing Japan” will be a company that will greatly strengthen the participating companies’ digital music strategies in Japan’s music industry.

At the conference, SM Entertainment, Avex Vanguard, and Universal Music Japan talked about taking one step further from the current contents distribution business model and establishing a creative and unique service that uses each of the company’s strengths.

“Everysing,” SM Entertainment’s karaoke application, is in productions to debut in the Japanese market as “Everysing Japan” by September.

“Everysing” application is not just a singing karaoke application but also has recording services, making distribution through social media and participating in auditions easier. As a content holder, it is also developing services where the user can even sing duets with established artists. The “Everysing” app is currently the number one karaoke application in the Google Play store. It was also nominated for the “2013 Google Play App Awards” last year.

Infinite Shows Fan Service Through Hugs on “Star Gazing”

Boy group Infinite is planning to give back to their fans through fan service! 

According to reports from production staff, the group made  a guest appearance on MBC pilot variety program, “Star Gazing.” During the recording for the show, Infinite supposedly gave hugs to fans. 

The production staff stated, “In order to return the love fans have given them, Infinite members gave out hugs to fans- enough to make some almost faint from happiness. They made everyone gathered during the filming very happy. You can tune in to see what kind of hugs Infinite gave out to their fans.” 

“Star Gazing” is a new talk show program where stars show their charms and unrevealed stories through fans. Kang Ho Dong will be the MC for the show with a panel of cast member stars such as Song Eun Yi, Shindong, Kwon Oh Joong and So Yoo Ka. 

The pilot episode aired on May 1 at 11:15PM.

“Happy Together 3” Will Be Airing a Special Episode

KBS 2TV’s “Happy Together 3” will be airing a special episode due to the Sewol Ferry incident.

On May 1, an official from KBS’s Entertainment department said, “On May 1, ‘Happy Together 3’ will be airing a special edition instead of its usual episode.”

After the Sewol Ferry incident on April 16, the production staff of “Happy Together 3” decided to cancel the show for two weeks straight. Also, in order to express their mourning towards the victims of the Sewol Ferry incident, they cancelled their recording schedule as well.

According to one official, they said, “Although we were able to organize today’s special episode, it’s still too early to decide when we’ll be on regular schedule again. We are showing a ‘Late Night Cafeteria’ special.”
