Girl’s Day Reveals How They Feel About miss A and Sistar on “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook”

Girl’s Day Reveals How They Feel About miss A and Sistar on “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook”

Girl’s Day appeared on KBS 2TV’s “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” on February 7, where they performed their hit tracks “Expectation” and “Something,” and had a mini-interview with MC Yoo Hee Yeol.

Girl’s Day previously performed on “Sketchbook” two years ago at the end of the show, but without a talk segment. Hyeri noted that compared to then, the cheers were much louder this time and thanked fans for their support.

MC Yoo Hee Yeol asked them if they were satisfied with their group’s name. The girls replied that Girl’s Day was probably the best choice of the candidates, which included Ice cream and Diamond.

He also asked them about them about miss A and Sistar, two girl groups that debuted around the same time as Girl’s Day. “Didn’t you feel restless since your group became popular relatively later?”

Sojin replied, “We thought that going slowly meant we would be able to experience and learn more, but we’ve actually gone through a lot. People associate a group with its debut song. Ours was ‘Tilt My Head.’”

The girls acknowledged that Sistar’s “Push Push” and miss A’s “Bad Girl Good Girl” had greater impact as debut tracks.

Yoo Hee Yeol commented that Girl’s Day’s popularity exploded with the release of “Expectation,” “Did you know how well you would do?”

Minah paused being replying, “More than knowing we would do well, we really really wanted to do well.”

The girls were also asked what the most difficult thing that they had done while being in a girl group was. Yura replied without hesitation, “Dieting. I wanted to eat earlier, but I couldn’t eat because I was afraid of my stomach showing.” Sojin also commented, “Being in a girl group means that even when you’re sitting still, you’re supposed to look cute and fresh, but I’ll be turning 30 in a year (Korean age).”

Girl’s Day has big dreams. Hyeri summed it up nicely, “Even if after time has passed, when people think back to this period, I hope they’ll remember Girl’s Day.”

Gary appears as the working driver and helps the drunk Oh Jin Hee get into her car. During the scene, Oh Jin Hee calls Gary as “Gary Ajusshi,” but Gary comically responds, “I’m not Gary. Who’s Gary? ZE:A’s Im Siwan and B1A4′s Jinyoung Are 2014′s Rising Idol-Turned-Actors

ZE:A’s Im Siwan and B1A4′s Jinyoung Are 2014′s Rising Idol-Turned-Actors

The year 2014 has barely kicked off, but two talented male idols have already caught the public’s eye on the big screen.

These two young men are none other than ZE:A‘s Siwan and B1A4‘s Jinyoung, who have successfully transferred from the music shows to movie sets.

Known for his statue-like looks, Siwan made his conclusive breakthrough as Jin Woo in the box-office hit “The Attorney.” Even though his role as the son of a poor mother running a restaurant was not the leading one, he touched the viewers’ hearts with his realistic and emotional acting, earning praises from critics.

Despite being a fairly new face in the scene, Siwan managed to match the level of industry seniors Song Kang Ho, Kim Young Ae, Kwak Do Won and others. “The Attorney” recently broke the admirable mark of 10 million viewers, becoming the tenth Korean movie overall to do so.

Siwan commented, “I think the start has been very good. However, Rome wasn’t built in a day. I feel pressured about my next piece,” and revealed his honest feelings. “As more and more viewers have seen my first piece, it becomes more likely that less viewers will see my next one, and due to this, I should prepare myself. I should to enjoy this moment, and work hard not to face a dilemma in the future,” he added.

“Actually, as it is my first movie, I have no idea what having 10 million viewers means,” the rising star, also known for his roles in the dramas “The Equator Man” and “The Moon That Embraces the Sun,” concluded.

Another idol-turned-actor that has left his mark on the industry is B1A4′s Jinyoung, who made his big screen debut with “Miss Granny.” Through his role as the leader of a rookie underground rock band, Jinyoung’s popularity has grown quickly. He received praises for his natural and fresh charm, which could also be felt in his on-screen performance.

Director Hwang Dong Hyuk said, “His attitude towards acting stood out from the beginning. His acting was good to the point where I wasn’t sure if he is an idol or just an actor.” The movie just recently recorded 5 million viewers, becoming the most successful Korean movie of 2014 so far.

Tablo’s Daughter Haru Experiences Her First Love?

Seems like Haru‘s heart has been stolen by a handsome and tall young man!

On the latest episode of KBS 2TV‘s “Superman Returns,” which aired on February 9, fellow cast member Jang Hyun Sung visited Tablo‘s house with his sons Joon Woo and Joon Seo.

As part of the show, Haru’s mother (actress Kang Hye Jung) had to part with her family. When it was time to say goodbye, the young girl surprised everyone by showing more interest in Joon Woo than her mother. Instead of listening to her mom and hugging her, Haru said she will say goodbye to her plush toy fish, but suddenly wrapped her arms tightly around Joon Woo.

Seeing this, everyone except the two burst into laughter, and Kang Hye Jung couldn’t help but say, “Seems like she has fallen for him.” She then jokingly warned Joon Woo, “Don’t be nice to girls,” while Joon Woo was completely dumbfounded by the whole situation.

Later, when Kang Hye Jung asked Haru why she likes Joon Woo, she adorably replied, “His eyebrows are cute.”
