Hyun Bin plans to celebrate the Lunar New Year with his family

 

Actor Hyun Bin, who was discharged from the military last December, will celebrate the Lunar New Year with his family.

 

According to his agency, he will meet his family on February 10 and have some family time on the Lunar New Year’s Day.

 

A spokesperson for the agency says, “Since this is the first holiday after Hyun Bin’s discharge from the military, he will spend some time with his family.”

 

Since Hyun Bin completed his military service, he hasn’t decided on his next job.

 

The spokesperson says, “He is currently reviewing movie scenarios. As soon as he decides, he will work hard to give good performances.”

 

Hyun Bin is planning to hold a promotion in six or seven cities starting on March 9 in Taiwan. He is receiving a lot of attention in Asia with his TV series My Name Is Kim Sam Soon and Secret Garden and his movie Late Autumn.

Girls’ Generation Themed Cafe Opens in Seoul

Girls’ Generation fans rejoice! For a time it looks like there will be a café with a Girls’ Generation theme! Starting on February 7, the café “Girls’ Generation EXPRESS” opened up. A lot of people came to visit it despite the cold weather.

To commemorate Valentine’s Day which is on February 14, the first floor of the café served special chocolate, macaroons, bakery, and drinks. The basement was filled up with different clothes, accessories, and decorations that had a Girls’ Generation theme.

SM Entertainment stated, “We anticipate that Girls’ Generation fans in South Korea and also many Chinese fans who are on spring vacation will visit the Girls’ Generation themed café.”

This special Girls’ Generation event is being held for 11 days until February 17. It is being held at the “RABBIT in the MOON” café in Garusugil, Seoul.

Beginning on February 9 in Kobe, Girls’ Generation will start their Japanese Arena tour.

She continued, “Even when I complain a little to my parents, they say, ‘Oh yeah? Then pack your bags. We didn’t tell you to chose this path. You said you would do it.’ They helped me to become more independent at a young age. I use public transportation a lot and I think I had a normal and healthy adolescence.”

 

Park Shin Hye also talked about her most recent film, “The Gift of Room 7,” which has lately surpassed 5 million viewers. She said, “As soon as I saw the role, I knew I had to do it. Although I didn’t have many lines, I knew I held an important key to the entire film so I decided to do it. Everyone asked me why I’m doing this and that they don’t understand me but if I didn’t take this chance, when else would I work with such great senior actors?”

U-KISS’ AJ to Rejoin Group For March Comeback

 

After wrapping up their Japanese promotional activities, U-KISS is scheduled to make their comeback in Korea sometime in March with their third album. However, for U-KISS fans- there is one more thing that will make this comeback especially sweet.

 

After taking a break from team activities to focus on school, AJ will be returning to the group for their third album. He has been attending Columbia University in the U.S. for the past eight months and simultaneously participating in composing music and writing lyrics to the songs for U-KISS’ next album.

 

When AJ’s own song “Believe” was selected as the title track for U-Kiss’s last special album that was released last summer, fans fell instantly in love with it. He will join the group on February 16 in Japan for a special Valentine’s Day fan meeting event and then return to Korea with the rest of the group to officially kick off their activities for their third album.

It’s been revealed that Lee Kyung Kyu researched homosexuality for the Hong Suk Chun episode of ‘Healing Camp‘.

 

SBS‘ general manager Lee Chang Tae, CP Choi Young In, and PD Shin Hyo Jung held a press conference for the upcoming program ‘Incarnation‘ that will be following ‘Strong Heart‘. During the press conference, Hong Suk Chun’s appearance on ‘Healing Camp’ also came up.

 

The general manager stated, “It was a good episode, and I realized how great of a host Lee Kyung Kyu was. On the show, it was mentioned that Lee Kyung Kyu was against Hong Suk Chun’s appearance on the show, but in reality, he was very strongly against it. There were aspects he just could not accept because of his own values, and he worried that he would have to needlessly bring up Hong Suk Chun’s painful memories.”

 

However, Lee Kyung Kyu was eventually convinced that the show ‘Healing Camp’ must be able to handle all kind of subjects to preserve its integrity. The general manager revealed, “He then read and studied [the topic] so he could understand Hong Suk Chun, and he was able to expertly use [the knowledge] for the broadcast. It was a moment I realized Lee Kyung Kyu’s talent.”

 

As Korea’s first celebrity to come out, Hong Suk Chun has gained both negative and positive attention. For a while, he wasn’t able to appear on variety shows, but he’s been guesting on programs again in recent years. His appearances on shows such as ‘Radio Star‘ and ‘Healing Camp’ were praised widely.

 

However, it isn’t just Hong Suk Chun’s bravery that was praised. Army musical ‘The Promise’ feat. Leeteuk, Ji Hyun Woo, and Kim Mu Yeol to hold encore performances

 

The army musical ‘The Promise‘ featuring Super Junior‘s Leeteuk, Ji Hyun Woo, Kim Mu Yeol, Yunhak, Lee Hyun, and more, will hold encore performances.

 

The musical portrays the story of seven soldiers who strengthen their bonds with each other during the Korean War. Leeteuk, Yunhak, Lee Hyun, Ji Hyun Woo, Kim Mu Yeol, Jung Tae Woo, and Kim Ho Young showed off their impressive teamwork on stage and left a strong impression through their emotional acting and singing.

Action and martial arts director Jung Doo Hong, known as a celebrity friend of Lee Byung Hun, gave a sneak peak into Lee Byung Hun’s life.

 

On February 6, his episode of tvN’s “Baek Ji Yeon’s People Inside” was aired. As the action coordinator and a stunt double in “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” he talked about his experience rooming with Lee Byung Hun.

 

Jung Doo Hong shared, “I lived with Lee Byung Hun for five months in the United States. Whenever he has a hard time, he would lock his door and drink alcohol. During a recent filming of JTBC‘s ‘Shinhwa Broadcast‘, Girls’ Generation‘s YoonA, Sooyoung, Sunny, Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Taeyeon featured as guests.

Legendary idol group Shinhwa recently unveiled official posters for their upcoming ‘Shinhwa 15th Anniversary Concert‘.

Lee Seung Gi chosen as most desired Valentine

 

Solo artist and actor Lee Seung Gi was voted as the most desired Valentine.

 

A cosmetic surgery clinic held a survey from January 28th to February 8th KST asking its female patients which male celebrity they would most like to confess their love to on Valentine’s Day. Lee Seung Gi won 36% of the 250 votes, placing first with a total of 126 votes. He’ll be appearing in the new MBC drama ‘Book of the House of Gu‘ starting in April.

 

Strong contenders included actor Song Joong Ki, known for his roles in ‘Wolf Boy‘ and ‘Nice Guy‘, with 30.9% of votes and Kim Soo Hyun with 18.8% of votes.

Jo Hye Ryun and her son bond on ‘Laws of the Jungle K’

The children and parents of SBS‘ ’Star Junior Show‘ were whisked off to the Philippines for the recent filming of the ‘Laws of the Jungle‘ spin-off ‘Laws of the Jungle K‘. Through this opportunity, Jo Hye Ryun and her son Woo Joo went on their first family vacation together since the comedian’s divorce.

 

During the first night on the island, it was decided that the children would sleep in the tent, while the parents sleep outside to watch over their children. Woo Joo said to his mom, “Since mom is a woman, shouldn’t you sleep inside the tent?” Jo Hye Ryun assured her son and replied jokingly, “Mommy is a man, so it’s fine.”

“Malah segala perkembangan saya juga akan dikongsi bersama peminat,” katanya yang ditemui ketika pelancaran kelab peminatnya itu di Restoran Rebung, Bangsar diadakan baru-baru ini.

Dihadiri lebih 40 peminatnya, Ainan turut membuat persembahan dengan menyampaikan lagu-lagu popularnya seperti Aku Suka Dia dan

Turut beramah mesra dengan peminat, Ainan berharap kariernya terus mendapat sokongan.

"Nyanyian pada mulanya hanyalah sekadar hobi saya. Namun saya tak sangka boleh pergi sejauh ini.

"Namun dalam masa sama, saya tidak mahu mengabaikan pelajaran saya," katanya penuntut Universiti Malaysia Perlis (Unimap) dalam jurusan Sarjana Kejuruteraan Bioproses.

Bergelar seorang siswazah, Ainan sebolehnya cuba menghindari sebarang kontroversi yang boleh menjejaskan imej baiknya. Bukannya tidak pernah terpalit dengan gosip dan kontroversi, Ainan menganggapnya sebahagian dari lumrah bergelar artis.

"Apa saja gosip yang timbul sebelum ini, adalah tidak benar. Namun saya tidak menafikan ia sedikit sebanyak menaikkan nama saya," katanya yang bernaung di bawah syarikat rakaman A&R MVM Production.

Terkenal di negara jiran?

Yakin dengan bakat dan kemampuan Ainan Tasneem, syarikat rakamannya, A&R MVM mengatur pelbagai strategi untuk menaikkan lagi nama anak jati Kuala Lumpur itu di kalangan peminat tanah air.

Pengurus syarikat rakaman itu, Dexter Koh, berkata, Ainan merupakan penyanyi yang berbakat besar dan pihaknya percaya dia mampu pergi lebih jauh.

"Selain menyanyi, dia juga memiliki bakat terpendam sebagai komposer mahupun penulis lirik. Malah dia juga berbakat menulis lagu-lagunya sendiri.

"Namun pihak kami akui, dia kurang mendapat publisiti dan kerana itulah orang kurang mengenai Ainan Tasneem, sedangkan lagu-lagunya cukup popular di corong radio," katanya yang kini giat mempromosikan lagu terbaru Ainan berjudul Luka.

Dextor mendedahkan, bukan mudah untuk pihaknya memujuk Ainan menjadi artis rakaman mereka.

"Kami terpaksa menghubungi Ainan berkali-kali kerana dia pada mulanya tidak berminat.

"Ketika itu dia mahu memberi perhatian sepenuhnya dalam pelajaran," katanya.

Tidak menunggu masa yang lama, Ainan bagaimanapun bersetuju untuk menyertai syarikat rakamannya setelah perbincangan dilakukan bersama keluarganya.

"Sangkaan kami terhadap kebolehan Ainan memang tepat apabila lagu pertamanya, 'Aku Suka Dia ' tidak mengambil masa yang lama untuk diminati pendengar tanah air.

"Sehingga kini lagu itu sering diputarkan di radio-radio tempatan dan berjaya menembusi beberapa carta lagu, termasuk di Singapura dan Indonesia.

"Ini menunjukkan Ainan mempunyai potensi dalam nyanyian, " kata Dextor.

'Pengkhianatan kepada artis tempatan!'

Tindakan Barisan Nasional yang bakal membawa masuk penyanyi Gangnam Style, Psy, sempena Hari Terbuka Tahun Baru Cina BN yang bakal berlangsung di Pulau Pinang, 11 Februari ini, mendapat pelbagai reaksi.

Bukan hanya mendapat kritikan di kalangan ahli politik, bayaran RM2 juta yang diperuntukkan untuk mengundang penyanyi K-Pop itu, turut mendapat perhatian penggiat seni di negara ini.

Menerusi kenyataan media, penulis lirik yang popular dengan lagu Awan Nano, Hasmi Hashim atau lebih dikenali sebagai Buddhi Hekayat, mempertikaikan tindakan BN mengundang Psy dengan bayaran seperti itu.

Katanya, ia adalah satu bentuk pengkhianatan kepada industri muzik, penyanyi dan artis tempatan keseluruhannya.

Baginya, apa jua alasan yang diberikan, kunjungan penyanyi itu diyakini sebagai usaha memancing sokongan undi khususnya golongan muda menjelang pilihan raya umum.

"Hal ini cukup mengecewakan. Sedangkan artis veteran tempatan hanya dihulur RM2000 seorang, baru-baru ini melalui Yayasan Artis 1Malaysia (YA1M). Kalau bayaran Psy RM2 juta, ia bersamaan dengan peruntukan keseluruhan kepada YA1M bagi tahun ini," katanya.

Menurutnya, jika persembahan Psy di Pulau Pinang itu tidak mengenakan bayaran tiket kepada penonton, sudah tentulah duti atau cukai tidak boleh dipungut oleh kerajaan dan ianya hanya merugikan dana rakyat.

Selain daripada itu, Buddhi Hekayat turut mengatakan isu ini berbeza dengan artis warga asing yang bekerja dan berkarya dalam Malaysia kerana mereka perlu bayar tarif cukai sebagaimana pekerja asing profesional lainnya.

"Bagi saya, pemerintah mungkin juga tak menyedari bagaimana ada ribuan penyanyi tempatan yang menerima bayaran persembahan sangat rendah atau mungkin sahaja secara percuma untuk mempromosikan bakat mereka.

"Langkah mengundang Psy sekali gus membuktikan bahawa dasar kebudayaan nasional sekian lama telah gagal melahirkan artis Malaysia yang mampu popular dan setanding di peringkat antarabangsa," tegasnya.

Cinta Shila-Sharnaaz berakhir?

TAK payah nak hipokrit!," tegas pelakon, Sharnaaz Ahmad ketika ditanya mengenai kenyataan kekasihnya, Shila Amzah, berhubung kemelut yang mereka alami.

Shila yang kini berada di kota Shanghai, tampil memohon maaf di atas apa yang berlaku antara Sharnaaz dan bapanya, ND Lala menerusi e-mel kepada pihak media.

Menerusi kenyataannya itu, Shila, 23, tidak menyalahkan mana-mana pihak. Namun sebagai anak dan kekasih, dia mengharapkan segala kekusutan yang timbul segera berakhir.

Bagaimanapun, Sharnaaz, 28, yang dihubungi Sinar Harian mengakui tidak tahu menahu mengenai e-mel dari kekasihnya itu.

"E-mel apa pula ni? Saya tak tahu apa-apa dan malas nak layan. Semuanya propa saja!

"Saya tak nak ambil tahu kerana kesudahannya, saya juga akan dipersalahkan. Lebih baik saya mengambil keputusan berdiam diri dan fokus dalam kerjaya.

"Buat masa ini, saya hanya fikir kerja saja. Yang lain, saya malas nak fikir. Terpulanglah pada dia (Shila) nak buat apa sekalipun. Saya tak nak ambil tahu lagi," tegasnya.

Diajukan tentang hasratnya untuk merisik Shila pada Mac ini, pelakon Ruby ini berkata, dia terpaksa membatalkan hasratnya itu.

"Saya tidak akan hantar rombongan merisik. Saya sendiri pun tidak tahu ke mana hala tuju hubungan ini.

"Saya tak pasti dan hanya berserah," kata pelakon drama Bukan Bidadari ini.

Ditanya lagi apakah hubungannya dengan Shila sudah berakhir, Sharnaaz bagaimanapun enggan mengulas perkara tersebut.

"Seperti yang saya katakan, saya dah malas nak layan semua ni lagi. Saya tak nak bercakap tentang dia (Shila) lagi," katanya dengan nada yang kecewa.

Boyfriend has scored the lead roles in the upcoming Japanese movie ‘GOGO Ikemen5‘!

 

Japanese newspaper Sankei Sports posted with the headline “Korean flower boy group Boyfriend to make their movie debut after six months since their debut” and revealed, “All of the members of Boyfriend will be starring as the leading actors for the upcoming film ‘GOGO Ikemen5′ to premiere this Summer.”

 

The movie will be a romantic comedy about the five most handsome boys in school who fall for the same girl, and is based on a popular novel.

 

Boyfriend stated, “It is really an honor to be starring in a movie. We ask for your love and support.”

The group will also be singing the theme song for the movie as well, and will head on to Japan later this month to start filming.

EXO-K’s Se Hoon talked about his feelings about graduating from high school.

 

On February 7, Se Hoon attended the 2013 graduation ceremony of Seoul Performing Arts High School. EXO-K members also came to the ceremony to celebrate Se Hoon’s graduation.

 

After the graduation ceremony was finished, Se Hoon said, “I couldn’t sleep well last night because I was sad and nervous about graduating from high school. I feel sad to say goodbye to my teachers and friends, but I’m also proud of myself as I have become an adult. I’ll work harder to show you a mature look.”

U-KISS Cheers Indonesian Kids By Singing-A-Long A Local Song
