B2ST’s Yoseob talks about his first kiss

During the latest episode of ‘Beatles Code 2‘, B2STs’s Yoseob was asked about his very first kiss. He commented, “I’ve [been in a relationship before], but I don’t know if it was love.”

Yoseob revealed his first kiss was in high school. MC Shindong asked, “Was it during your second year, 11:00 PM at a playground?” The B2ST member was surprised as he asked, “How did you know?”

Yoseob continued, “To be honest, we had no money and nowhere to go. Even though we were freezing, we just enjoyed holding hands in the cold. Then we happened to have our first kiss.”

When asked about who the lucky girl was, he answered, “She was a friend I knew since junior high school. I asked her out first, but I didn’t know what to do, so even when I held her hand I asked for permission. My friends told me girls didn’t like to be in relationships like that, so when I kissed her I didn’t ask.“

4men’s Shin Yong Jae surprises students as guest professor at art college

On the 22nd KST, 4men‘s Shin Yong Jae surprised students as a special guest professor at the Namseoul Art Occupational Training College.

Shin Yong Jae was invited by the school’s dean, Vibe‘s Yoon Min Soo, to share his own experiences and help vocal majors studying in the School of Music.

Shin Yong Jae has long been known as a “legend” in the music industry for achieving first place among 350 students on his college admission exam, which led to his acceptance into the prestigious Seoul Institute of the Arts and Seoul National University‘s School of Music.

Professor Lee Ho Kyu stated, “With the recruit of Yoon Min Soo, Shin Yong Jae, and other top vocalists of Korea, there is a lot of interest in the admission of new students for the 2013 semester. They will use all of their strength to help cultural arts students to discover their talent and help them enter the music industry.”

In other news, 4men will release their album ‘The True Story‘ on the 28th.

Upcoming film ‘An Actor Is An Actor’ starring MBLAQ’s Lee Joon concludes filming

Upcoming film ‘An Actor Is An Actor‘ starring MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon has wrapped up filming.

The cast and crew filmed for two months, starting on November 23rd, and concluded the final scene on the 19th of January.

Lee Joon shared, “It’s hard to believe that I’ve been cast in this movie, much less concluded filming. I think it’ll be a production that I will never forget. Although it was a daily challenge, with the help of my director and seniors, I was able to learn a lot and enjoy my work. I hope that this production leaves a lasting impression on viewers.”

Director Kim Ki Duk stated, “An actor is not someone who imitates [a character's] life, but someone who lives the life of [the character].”

KBS’ ‘Gag Concert’ sees a fall in viewer ratings

KBS‘ ‘Gag Concert‘ has been seeing an unfortunate drop in viewer ratings.

On January 21st, AGB Nielson Korea revealed that ‘Gag Concert’ earned a 20.6% viewer rating, a 1.2% fall from the 21.8% earned on January 13th and the 21.7% on January 6th.

Viewers complained that segments such as ‘The Discovery of Life‘ and ‘Tragic Actresses‘ use too many guest appearances rather than focusing on the original comedy skits. They also felt that the political commentary made on ‘Brave Guys‘ every week was hackneyed.

‘Gag Concert’ has also recently been adding new segments to the show, which viewers are not yet familiar with, causing a drop in viewer ratings.

Regardless of the slight fall in viewer ratings, ‘Gag Concert’ is still the highest-rated television program during its time slot.

In related news, CNBLUE will be filming for the show on the 23rd KST.

[NEW DRAMA ‘IRIS II’] Sneak Preview of “IRIS II” Released

The sneak preview for KBS’ new drama “IRIS II” has been revealed.

One of 2013’s most anticipated dramas, “IRIS II”, released the sneak preview clip on a teaser website, www.kbs.co.kr/drama/iris2, which was launched on the same day, Jan. 18th. The drama promises to be a high-quality blockbuster which will raise the bar for Korea’s espionage dramas.

At the end of the original series in 2009, the villain Baek San (played by Kim Young Chul) was captured by Hyun Joon (played by Lee Byung Hun). The sneak preview of the new drama shows Baek San sitting in a jail cell. Three years have passed since his confinement.

Although the clip was only 25 seconds, the tension was intense making the audience grip their fists in anticipation to what will happen next. The preview was a thirst quencher for those who were thirsty for a good spy-thriller action. The thrilling chase scenes going from land to sea to the sky was also a premonition of a great drama that may even surpass the glory of its predecessor.

Related officials said, “In IRIS II, the secret organization IRIS returns with an even bigger conspiracy while NSS is also prepared with brains and action. With an upgraded cast, the destined battle between the two organizations will allow the drama to become more full and dynamic”.

IRIS II will also showcase melodrama and romance, accompanied by great teamwork between the cast, which is expected to make the spy-action drama an experience the audience will never forget.

The new teaser homepage and preview has been released for IRIS II, which will premiere on Feb. 13th at 10 p.m.

Criticisms arise regarding T-ara’s Soyeon’s KakaoTalk Story conversation + Core Contents Media responds

Recently several screen shots of a conversation taking place on app KakaoTalk Story (not to be confused with just KakaoTalk) between three individuals, one of whom is T-ara‘s Soyeon, started spreading online, gaining criticism. With more and more becoming aware of the conversation and media outlets reporting on the issue, Core Contents Media was reached for a comment.

It is being reported that the three individuals engaging in the exchange are Soyeon, Sua of D-Day, and actress Yoon Ee Na.

This all started when Soyeon saw Sua wearing a Kenzo brand shirt and remarked that she also had the same shirt.

Sua commented that it was hard to acquire the shirt, and Soyeon responded, “Because these days that unni wears all the Kenzo… I can’t wear it, I won’t wear it.”

Sua asked, “That unni? Then should I take it off?” This is when actress Yoon Ee Na joined in the conversation, commenting, “Do you mean Stitch? Keke”, Sua responded, “Angry Stitch?” and Yoon Ee Na responded, “Old Stitch”.

Sua laughed as she commented, “Kekekekekeke even old???” Yoon Ee Na explained, “Kekeke You can see a lot of wrinkles..” and Soyeon added, “Daebak Stitch kekekeke”.

Yoon Ee Na then commented, “But you know, I don’t think Stitch brushes her teeth.” The conversation then moved onto the topic of ‘Stitch’s wedding and the girls asking one another if they were going.

Netizens assumed that the ‘Stitch’ the girls were talking about was actress Yoon Eun Hye at first as she has the nickname of ‘Stitch’ and is known to love the brand Kenzo. As articles started surfacing regarding the matter, the story has shot to the top of real time rankings of popular search portals such as Nate and Naver, with netizens voicing their opinions, mostly criticizing the three for talking behind someone’s back.

Kwanghee’s informal speech on ‘Running Man’ receives some criticism

ZE:A‘s Kwanghee is definitely a trend idol these days as he makes frequent broadcast appearances on many shows as guests or as part of the fixed panel. One of the latest shows he appeared on was ’Running Man‘, which is undeniably one of the most watched variety shows by a wide range of age groups in the nation.

As such, Kwanghee faced some criticism after the airing of the episode as he used informal speech after getting his name tag torn off by HaHa and Gary. When that happened, he remarked, “I hate HaHa and Gary!” with informal speech rather than using the respectful form of speech (adding the syllable ‘yo’ at the end of sentences) although Haha and Gary are hyungs that are over 10 years older than him.

Since this isn’t the first time he has been called out for informal speech, some viewers voiced their annoyance, saying, “Even though he’s a bright character, he should still be respectful“, “Maybe Kwanghee should change his character a bit“, and “Be careful of the way you talk“.

However, since it was a matter of being in the moment, others came to his defense pointing out on message and viewer boards, ”He wasn’t saying it directly to HaHa and Gary“, “He’s working hard in variety shows, is that something to criticize?“, and “He was just saying it to himself. Do people talk respectfully to themselves?“.

Actress Jang Nara treats cast and staff of ‘School 2013′ to a buffet style meal

Actress Jang Nara kept the promise she made with actor Lee Jong Suk.

In celebration of winning the Excellence Award at the ‘2012 KBS Drama Awards‘, Jang Nara had promised co-star Lee Jong Suk that she would treat the cast and staff members of ‘School 2013‘ to a hearty buffet.

On January 19th, Jang Nara followed through by generously preparing 200 servings of food for the hardworking cast and staff members for dinner, brightening the atmosphere on set.

In addition to her generous act, during lunch time, fans of ‘School 2013′ on community portal site DC Inside provided a food truck that served prepared food, ensuring the hardworking staff get a full meal as they continue to shoot around the clock.

A staff member on set stated, “The entire staff members are able to draw strength and enjoy a full meal thanks to the celebrity food trucks that are prepared every day. B2ST member Yoseob discussed issues related to dating and his thoughts about his fellow member’s public relationship, catching the attention of viewers.

On the latest episode of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, Yoseob piqued the curiosity of many when he revealed that a female idol member had approached him before and revealed her feelings.

He began, “After I debuted, I was approached by a female idol, but I was unable to accept her feelings for me.”

When asked whether or not he also had interest in the mysterious idol, Yoseob honestly answered, “I did have feelings for her, but I was afraid.”

He then explained why he had to turn her down, saying, “I didn’t think I’d be able to manage dating a celebrity. As an idol and a member of a group, I didn’t want to bring harm to others. Even now, we’re still close friends.”

Comedian Lee Kyung Kyu confessed to wanting to change career paths during a recent interview on ‘Entertainment Relay‘.

During the interview, the comedian was asked, “Which term do you prefer, the ‘father of variety’ or a film producer”, to which he responded, “Honestly speaking, I’d like to be hugely successful with a film so that I can leave variety behind.”
