Soyu and Song Eun Yi pick Sunggyu as the INFINITE member who is not good looking at first glance

MBC's pilot program 'Stargazing' aired its very first episode on May 1, featuring guests INFINITE, SISTAR's Soyu, and Song Eun Yi.  

During the show, one female fan of INFINITE raised curiosity with, "I like one member especially more.  When I first liked him, I didn't know he was this good looking.  After falling for his charms, I found him handsome later on."

The other people on the show started to offer guesses as to whom the fan was talking about.  Soyu said, "I think I know who it is.  Maybe Sunggyu?" making everybody burst into laughter.  Song Eun Yi added, "Our thoughts are alike.  Sunggyu gets more charming the more you look at him," and shook hands with Soyu.  

Meanwhile, Sunggyu's aura was getting darker and darker to everybody's amusement, especially his other INFINITE members.  The other people on the show said, "Seeing as how she said she didn't know the guy was good-looking at first, it's you!"  

However, the fan revealed that the member wasn't Sunggyu and it was actually Sungyeol!  She said, "Sungyeol seemed so pure."

Kim Jaejoong Talks About Last Project Before Enlistment, “Triangle,” and JYJ Comeback Plans

Fans of JYJ‘s Kim Jaejoong have another reason to tune in next week for the premiere of “Triangle”.

At the production press conference of the new MBC Monday-Tuesday drama “Triangle” held today, April 30, at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul, the singer turned actor said he will have “Triangle” as his last drama project before he goes to the army.

“Triangle will probably the last (project) before I enlist,” he said. “Because this is my last drama, I think I will have to work even harder. I will try my best to show you a cool side of me,” he added.

The singer-actor mentioned his plans to enlist at his solo concert in Japan last year. Although the exact time and area where he will enlist is yet to be finalized, the singer-actor says fans could anticipate the comeback of JYJ before that time.

“The time has come for me to go to the army. I could adjust my enlistment anytime if I’m doing solo activities but I’m with JYJ, so there are still a lot of things that I have to consider,” said Kim Jaejoong. “For now, I can say that fans can expect a JYJ comeback by the second half of the year. I think I can finish that and then go to the army,” he added.

Reporters followed up with the question, ” Don’t you feel bad that you can’t sing in music programs before you go to the army?” To which Kim Jaejoong replied, “Of course I feel bad about it. I don’t think there’s any artist who wants to have his activities while hiding himself.”

“Triangle” is a story about three brothers who are separated from each other after losing their parents. They meet again by fate 20 years later without knowing what each has gone through. In “Triangle,” Kim Jaejoong plays the role of Heo Young Dal who lives off collecting private loans in Jeongseon, Kangwon-do. A good-for-nothing person who would even take off his clothes and throw them away just to take a collection, he becomes a boss of a gang. 

“Triangle” will start airing on MBC on May 5, 10 p.m. (KST)

Kim Gura and Son Kim Dong Hyun to Host Their Own Show!

MC Kim Gura and his son Kim Dong Hyun will host their own variety show called “Kim Father and Son Show.” The show, which is set to broadcast on Tooniverse, will focus on closing the cultural gap between father and son.  This will be the first time the father and son duo will host their own show, creating more curiosity towards the variety show.

In regards to their upcoming show, Kim Gura commented, “I’ve always wanted to MC a show with Dong Hyun, so I am very happy that my wish will come true.” In addition, son Kim Dong Hyun said, “This is my first time leading a variety show, so I am a bit nervous. However, since I’m doing this show with my dad I feel confident. Please anticipate our collaboration!”

“Kim Father and Son Show” will convey the duo discussing the hot topics between teens, as well as exchanging cultural ideas. Furthermore, with guests appearances from teenagers to comedians, viewers will be able to hear different perspectives in regards to cultural ideologies. 

The show’s producer, Choi Woo Suk, expressed, “The show will focus on talks that teenagers are interested in. Through the exchange of cultural ideas between Kim Gura and his son, we hope that teenagers and parents who watch this show will begin to understand each other more than before.”

Not only will the show have discussions corners, but the father and son duo will have a variety of activities including a news corner for teens. Hopefully, this show will not only help Kim Gura and his son Kim Dong Hyun become closer, but also assist the relationships of parents and children who watch the show.

“Kim Father and Son Show” will broadcast its first episode through Tooniverse on May 16 at 8 PM.

Yoo Ah In Shows What It Takes to Act as a Genius Pianist

Although he acts as a love interest to a much older woman in JTBC‘s “Secret Love Affair,”Yoo Ah In has continuously shown what it takes to act as a genius pianist. The behind the scenes photos for the JTBC drama showed the actor preparing for his role as a young pianist who had captured the attention of music experts, as well as the attention of his much older and married female teacher.

One cannot become a genius pianist over night, thus indicating the amount of time and effort Yoo Ah In had placed to perfectly portray his character. The photos that were released showed the actor continuously looking over his script with actress Kim Hee Ae. The long sleeves and baggy pants illustrated the actor as a young student in his early 20′s experiencing a life of both poverty and wealth. 

Yoo Ah In’s ability to portray his character seemed to be a result of his diligent preparation for his character.

SM C&C and Samhwa Networks Form Partnership to Enter Chinese Drama Market

Video content producer SM C&C and Korea’s top drama producing company Samhwa Networks have formed a partnership in order to enter the Chinese drama market. 

The partnership between the two companies included an agreement to collaborate in producing dramas that appeal to the Chinese drama market. In addition, the official agreement included that both companies own 2 billion won (about 1,936,000 USD) of each companies’ treasury stocks. Furthermore, SM C&C gained 1.66% of Samhwa Networks’ share, while Samhwa Networks gained 0.76% of SM C&C’s share.

The collaboration between the two companies foreshadowed the upcoming dramas and contents that will be produced to target the Chinese audience. With Samhwa Network being Korea’s first and top drama producing company, the partnership between SM C&C and Samhwa Networks is one to anticipate. 

As dramas such a “The Gu Family Book,” “King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo,” and “Glorious Days” were produced by Samhwa Networks, SM C&C’s collaboration with the company is expected to produced many more great dramas.

Teen Top’s Niel Exercises for “Law of the Jungle”

Teen Top’s Niel, also known as the “Weak Dol,” is busy building his body.

Recently, it has been confirmed that he will be appearing on SBS’s “Law of the Jungle.” For this episode, the crew will be going to the India and Niel has made a firm decision to show his manly side through this show.

Niel has been gaining a lot of popularity by putting on sleek performances. This time, he said he is planning on showing a different side of him and has been exercising intensely by swimming, working out at the gym and many more.

According one official, on May 1, “Teen Top has been scheduled to make a comeback this summer and in order to show a different charm, all the members have been doing their best when exercising. Out of all the members, Niel has been managing his health in order show a different side of himself on ‘Law of the Jungle.”

During New Years, SBS aired a New Years special program called, “Fists of Shaolin Temple,” where Niel and Rose Motel’s Yook Joong Wan appeared. They were able to make the audience laugh their struggles. At the time, Niel commented that, “Out of all the idols, I was picked first place as the ‘Weak Dol,” and I wanted to show that in real life I have a manly side as well.” Although he was able to gain confidence by showing potential in stick fighting skills, he plans on showing a more manly side through “Law of the Jungle.”

In this upcoming episode, it has been confirmed that Uee and the band, Royal Pilot’s, James, will be appearing as well. On May 1, the producer of the show, Park Mi Yeon, explained that, “Casting is still in progress. I believe the list of guests will be finalized within this week.”

Continuing on, “We are planning on casting members who have never been to the jungle before. There is a member who is older than Chief Kim Byung Man. Please look forward to the new guests.” This episode is schedule to be aired in July.
