JYP Entertainment subsidiary JYP Pictures and China Oriental Performing Arts Group to produce a film together



JYP Entertainment subsidiary JYP Pictures has entered a collaboration with China Oriental Performing Arts Group to produce a film together.

Both CEOs of the respective companies signed the contract at the China Oriental Performing Arts Group headquarters on the 29th. Through this collaboration, both sides will invest in each other's production costs while JYP Pictures will offer their know-hows on films and dramas. Their first film together will portray an inspirational story about singing and dancing which will premiere in theaters across China in the second-half of 2014.

JYP Pictures President Pyo Jong Rok stated, "Through the collaboration with China's top art company entertainment group, the films that we produce will never fail to have new shapes and forms... We anticipate the synergy effect of the cultural exchange of both companies and countries... We hope that this is a starting point for strategic involvement in various business not only in films but also in management, concert production, and more."

Kim Hyun Joong to leave 'Barefoot Friends'



Kim Hyun Joong has been confirmed to be leaving 'Barefoot Friends'.

Kim Hyun Joong's agency Key East Entertainment stated on the 31st, "Kim Hyun Joong plans to leave 'Barefoot Friends'. Due to scheduling conflicts with filming for his drama, he inevitably had to leave. We have already told the production crew about his leave."

Kim Hyun Joong will enter filming for the new KBS 2TV drama 'Generation of Youth' as the lead actor this November. Kim Hyun Joong's leave brought up rumors of the leave of other actors among the cast of 'Barefoot Friends' as Yoon Si Yoon is also in a similar predicament having been cast for the new KBS 2TV drama 'Prime Minister and I' which will air this December.

Yoon Si Yoon's agency Taxi Entertainment however assured fans that he will stay on the show, stating, "We've never discussed anything about his possible leave from 'Barefoot Friends'. Even if he has a drama schedule, the filming takes place during the weekend so there will be no difficulty."

According to a broadcast insider, UEE who is currently filming her new MBC weekend drama 'Golden Rainbow', is also in talks to possibly leave 'Barefoot Friends' but is leaning towards the direction of staying on and trying to work out the schedules.

Min's solo teaser cut released for miss A's return with 'Hush'


miss A kicked off the teasing process for their second studio album 'Hush' yesterday with a group photo, so they're back today with a solo cut of member Min today! 

Min gets fans intrigued with her teaser cut as she manages to look sexy yet sorrowful at the same time looking off into the distance. She's also standing under a shower head getting wet, adding to the sad and mysterious vibe of the photo. 

Like mentioned before, the new album will have a total of thirteen songs, including seven entirely new songs. The title song, as mentioned, will be E-Tribe's "Hush" while the other new songs are by names like Lee Woo Min, Park Woo Sang, No Day, and more.

IU catches eyes with her unique fashion sense for 'Pretty Man'



IU brought her 4D character to life with her unique fashion sense for 'Pretty Man'!

She began her first filming for the drama on the 28th and one of her first scenes took place at a mart where the singer-turned-actor caught eyes with her very colorful and flowery outfit. Her style hints that she will play a happy-go-lucky kind of character. 

As mentioned before, IU will be taking on the role of Kim Bo Tong. Like her name which means 'ordinary' or 'average' in Korean, the character is an ordinary girl but has a lovable charm. She also crushes on the 'pretty man', Dok Go Ma Te (Jang Geun Suk), whom she fell in love with at first sight during middle school. Reportedly, she'll find herself in a love triangle with him as well as Lee Jang Woo's character Choi David.

Trouble Maker say it was embarrassing filming their love scenes


Trouble Maker looked like they couldn't keep their hands off each other in their "Now" MV, but the two confessed that they were actually both very embarrassed while filming their love scenes.

HyunA, who is known for her opposing charms of sexy charisma on stage and cuteness overload behind-the-scenes, shared on her acting in the music video, "I was embarrassed."

Hyunseung also shared, "It was really embarrassing... It's been two years since we promoted together so filming the love scenes was embarrassing and awkward... But since we are label mates and have promoted together before, our teamwork is good... I think we will be able to show a good image on stage as well."
