The US Billboard introduces K-pop group Infinite
Group Infinite recently appeared on the US Billboard.
On January 29, Infinite was introduced on K-Town by the US Billboard under
the title, “Infinite: Video Q&A With the Rising K-Pop Superstars.”
The Billboard says, “INFINITE’s popularity is massively growing in both Korea
and Japan, but their megastar status didn’t come overnight. The group’s 2010
debut effort ”Come Back Again” was met with a lukewarm response and they
remained relatively unknown until the release of their second EP.”
“The group included a highly-technical
“scorpion dance” on their dramatic single “BTD” (Before The Dawn) that soon drew
more and more eyes to the rookie group. In October 2011, the group
propelled into super-stardom with breakout single, “Be Mine.” Then “The Chaser” was selected as the No.1 K-pop song of 2012
by Billboard.”
Infinite says to Billboard, “We were absolutely blown away when we first
heard about it through the news. “The Chaser” is a song that best represents
Korean sentiments.”
The Billboard also reported on Sung Kyu’s solo EP, Dong Woo and Hoya forming
unit group Infinite H, their fandom Inspirit, and their plan for a new EP.
The group’s agency says, “It is rare that Infinite is receiving attention
from the US Billboard because they have only performed in Korea and Japan. We
think that K-pop is receiving considerable attention from all over the world and
they want to find the next K-pop star following Psy.”

‘We Got Married’ releases official statement + confirms leave of Lee Joon-Oh Yeon Seo couple
It has been confirmed after a day of deliberating by the ‘We Got Married‘ staff that MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon and actress Oh Yeon Seo will be officially leaving the show.
Rumors had been afloat that the two couple would be pulling out of the show earlier, and the agencies of the two stars later confirmed that they had both requested to leave the show due to scheduling issues.
‘We Got Married’ has recently released an official statement regarding their decision about the couple, which you can read below.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon and actress Oh Yeon Seo, who have been playing the part of a faux married couple on ‘We Got Married Season 4′, will be leaving the program due to scheduling issues.
Lee Joon started his acting activities having been cast in movie ‘An Actor Is an Actor‘, and drama ‘IRIS 2‘, and not only does he have Japanese album activities and concerts planned, but an album release in Korea as well, so realistically, it has reached a situation where it has become difficult to manage his schedules.

Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin swept up in a love scandal?
The cast of ‘School 2013‘ joked that Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin are in love with each other.
The special for the popular drama aired on the 29th under the name, ‘School 2013 Special – Let’s Go to School‘. The show revealed the best five scenes of the drama, and the #1 scene turned out to be the teary make up scene between Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin’s characters.
After Lee Jong Suk saw the scene, he commented, “Kim Woo Bin and I are friends from when we were models. That’s why I was more at ease when we were acting together. It was cold, so I couldn’t get my emotions right, but he helped me a lot.” The two were already good friends offscreen, but they’ve gotten even closer after ‘School 2013′.

Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon let loose as she took on the challenge of dancing to various types of club music.
The idol was a guest on MBC‘s ‘Blind Test Show 180 Degrees‘, where the guests had to tell the DJing of DJ Freakhouze and Park Myung Soo‘s apart from one another. The guests also started to dance to the two DJs’ club music during the process, and as one of the best dancers in Girls’ Generation, Hyoyeon expertly managed all sorts of dances, from the techno dance from the 90s and the more recent shuffle dance.
Even though Boom is the one famous for visiting clubs and keeping up with the trends, she was able to outshadow him with her energy and various moves.

2PM’s Taecyeon and KARA’s Nicole revealed to be considering offers to participate in a ‘world version’ of ‘We Got Married’
KARA‘s Nicole and 2PM‘s Taecyeon are in talks to star in a ‘world version’ of the popular faux-marriage variety program ‘We Got Married‘, according to agencies responsible for both idol groups.
Taecyeon was reported to have been confirmed for ‘We Got Married’ earlier on with the news about the potential leave of Lee Joon-Oh Yeon Seo couple. Although, JYP Entertainment had later denied the news, they have revealed that the idol is actually in consideration for not the regular show, but the ‘world version’.
JYP Entertainment and DSP Media both confirmed that the two idols had received offers from MBC. “We received casting proposals for a world version of ‘We Got Married,” JYP Entertainment said. “But his casting has not been confirmed. We are in discussions with the producers.”
DSP also confirmed the talks, saying, “Although it’s true that she has been considered for a ‘We Got Married’ world version, nothing has been confirmed. We are discussing it with the producers,” they said, echoing JYP Entertainment’s announcement. “It seems like there will be a cast announcement soon.”
The ‘world version’ of the show has been in talks since last year, and once completed, will be broadcast in 41 countries and will include two couples who are from different cultural backgrounds, with one member of the couple from Korea and the other member being someone from overseas.

It seems that two of the hottest male idol groups, Big Bang and INFINITE, may be running into each other more frequently in the future for they’ve moved their dormitories to the same apartment complex!
According to the report that has surfaced, the two groups moved into an apartment complex in Hapjeongdong Mapogu, Seoul around the same time period.
A music industry insider revealed, “Big Bang and INFINITE moved their dormitories to the residential-commercial apartment complex in Hapjeongdong.” The insider also added that there are other groups who are thinking of changing their dorms as well, commenting, “Besides Big Bang and INFINITE, there are other idol groups that are currently considering moving to different dormitories.”

JYP Entertainment refutes rumors of Taecyeon being part of a new couple on ‘We Got Married’
Married‘, the idol’s agency stepped forward to refute these claims.
“The rumors that Taecyeon will be appearing on ‘We Got Married’ as a replacement for a Lee Joon – Oh Yeon Seo couple are untrue,” said a representative for his agency. “He will not be appearing on ‘We Got Married’.”

During MBC’s “Idol Star Athletics Championship” that took place on January 28, SISTAR’s Bora and DMTN’s lead vocal Daniel were injured and required medical treatments. Both injuries occurred during the 70 meter dash.

Lee Jun Ki reveals he was once betrayed by a close friend who stole his earnings on ‘Healing Camp’
On the January 28th episode of SBS‘ Healing Camp‘, actor Lee Jun Ki featured as a guest and revealed he was once betrayed by a close confidant who ended up stealing part of his earnings.
Lee Jun Ki opened up about the incident and revealed, “It was
partly my fault too. I earned so much money at the blink-of-an-eye that I
had no real economic sense. I let someone I trust take care of it and
thought he would take good care of everything, but after reviewing it
several years later, the money I thought I made was gone. I was shocked
at first.”
Lee Jun Ki continued, “He said to me, ‘I made you into who you
are today so weren’t you going to give me this much money as severance
pay?’ He became someone totally different and I had a few lawsuits with
him. Victory was not important to me. It was a bigger issue that I lost
someone [I trusted]. It happened right before I entered the military and
although I was exploding on the inside, outside I would continue to act
in a bright manner and promote actively. Besides close staff members,
no one else had knowledge of this.”
He also shared, “When I woke up in the mornings, the curtains,
punching bag, and sofa were sliced up. It turns out when I was drunk I
had taken a knife and left cut marks around the whole house. My body
also had cuts. My father visited my house one day because he was worried
and was shocked after seeing the scratched up house and sofa. He said
my eyes when I’m drunk were like the devil. ‘You look like the devil
right now. How did you become like this?’ My father left the cross and
holy water, and placed the statue of Mary in each room. He wanted to
protect me at least with the power of God.”
MC Lee Kyung Kyu asked, “How did you recover?”, to which Lee Jun Ki stated, “Honestly
there is no specific method and you just have to endure it. Because it
was my fault I kept saying ‘it’s my fault, it’s my fault’. I
instinctively realized that in order to heal the pain I received from
people, I must also heal through people, and started to recover slowly.”

HaHa requests search portals to remove his former girlfriend’s name from related terms
Comedian HaHa made an impassioned plea on the latest episode of his variety program, MBC Music‘s ‘HaHa’s 19TV Mutiny‘.
“I wish the green screen and the blue screen [references to Naver and Daum, respectively] would delete the related search terms on their own,” he said. “So [she] can live quietly too.”
He was making an allusion to his former girlfriend, Ahn Hye Kyung, who still pops up next to his name if one were to search for HaHa on the internet.
He continued, “While you’re doing that, please delete Hong Chul and Gil hyung’s too,” naming two celebrities who have also had public relationships with other celebrities.
