EXO’s First Live Broadcast of “Hottest Moment XOXO” Canceled

EXO’s live broadcast of their reality show “Hottest Moment XOXO,” in light of the current situation concerning EXO-M member Kris, has been canceled. It will be replaced with a broadcast of EXO’s first Japan fan event, “EXO Greeting Party in Japan, Hello.”

Kris, currently in China, recently filed a lawsuit to terminate his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment.

Minho, Bora, Kang Min Hyuk, and Other Idols Join Cast of Running Man for Special Episode

Minho, Bora, Kang Min Hyuk, and Other Idols Join Cast of Running Man for Special Episode

An idol squadron has again come to join the cast of “Running Man.”

On May 15, a representative for the show reported that SHINee’s Minho, 2PM’s Chansung, Sistar’s Bora, INFINITE’s Sunggyu and Hoya, CNBlue’s Kang Min Hyuk, and B1A4′s Jinyoung had wrapped up recording a guest episode for the series, which had resumed filming just two days prior.

While filming on Kanghwa Island in Incheon, the seven stars squared off for a competition against the seven members of the “Running Man” team. However despite the fact that the show is based on the idea of competition, the atmosphere while recording was friendly. Jinyoung and Hoya made an unusual effort to do well during their first appearance in the series.

“Running Man’s” production company has previously released several special episodes featuring guest idols, who, for example, attempted to win the title “King of the Idols” or competed in various athletic matches. In last week’s episode, 2NE1 and 2PM (among others) battled in a showdown to defend their labels’ honor.

“Running Man” temporarily suspended filming last month out of respect for the victims of the Sewol ferry disaster. The episodes broadcast on May 4th and 11th were recorded before the incident; new footage taken after the filming resumed is expected to air this month.

EXO's Tao's Instagram and Weibo updated with posts about feeling betrayed

The EXO members have been speaking out on their thoughts after Kris filed against SM Entertainment asking for the contract to be nullified. While others remained a bit more vague and ambiguous, Tao spoke more directly on the topic, leaving fans to wonder just what could have happened to lead to this situation.

He posted the photo above on Instagram and wrote, "The road is long, and no one can decide where you want to go. The public will always be left in the dark, but it might be that the public will side with who is in the minority. However that's not the truth. Only those who have experienced the truth are able to understand, such as our 11 members and SM employees. To those on the outside, the right and wrong could be reflected oppositely. They probably won't know what it feels like to be betrayed by another person and then to have everyone side with the person who has betrayed us. Everyone can have their own perspectives and opinions. However, the truth is pointing to what is right and wrong. We have a clear conscience. We can't stop someone who wants to leave, and he kept this from us. As we were sweating and practicing hard for our concert, we learned that one wouldn't be coming back. We have to restart preparations for the concert as 11 members. So tired. EXO, let's love."

When he started to see the feedback he was getting on Instagram as well as Weibo with fans speculating that someone else had written the message, his Weibo was updated again with a message that stated, "I am EXO member Tao. The things said on Weibo and Instagram are by me. I have nothing to hide." He also posted messages along the lines about the truth surfacing sooner or later, further leaving fans to wonder about the truth of the situation.

What do you make of all this?

EXO's Suho comments on Kris' suit against SM Entertainment, calls his actions 'irresponsible'

EXO's Suho gave his two cents on Kris' request to nullify his contract and lawsuit against SM Entertainment, becoming the first member to speak on the issue.

Osen met up with EXO-K in the 'M! Countdown' waiting room after their performance of "Overdose" on the May 15th show, and Suho spoke up about the recent developments involving fellow member Kris. He told Osen, "All the members had a conversation. We don't understand Kris' actions at all. Everyone was caught off-guard and have mixed feelings."

Suho continued, "I think Kris' actions are irresponsible and show that he's not thinking about EXO at all. Our members and agency have no issues. What Kris needs to do right now is take back the lawsuit and apologize to the members and company."

There's also speculation that Suho's comments on the 'M! Countdown' stage after EXO's win with "Overdose" are in reference to Kris and his lawsuit. Receiving the trophy, he said, "Thank you for the big award. Thank you to all the people who love us. It's Teacher's Day, so I want to thank Lee Soo Man sunsaengnim. We won't forget this blessing. I sincerely love the EXO members. Our motto is, 'We are one,' and like the motto says we'll become an EXO that think about EXO and our fans instead of just our individual selves. We'll work hard. Thank you. We are one. EXO, I love you."

Fans have noticed the EXO members allegedly unfollowing Kris on Instagram and leaving mysterious messages as well. What are your thoughts?

Celebrity couple Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na have ended their two year relationship.

According to multiple sources, actors Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na are no longer romantically involved, and may have ended their relationship even before Ji Hyun Woo was discharged from his military service. Ji Hyun Woo had finished his military service earlier this month and Yoo In Na’s absence from his discharge ceremony did not go unnoticed. At that time, her agency, YG Entertainment, explained that she was unable to make it to the ceremony because of her busy schedule and that the couple was doing well.

Both of Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na’s agencies confirmed that the two had broken up. Ji Hyun Woo’s source explained that the actor had not announced the break up during his ceremony because he thought it would be inappropriate as the man to announce the break up first. A source from YG also added that they had not known about the break up when Yoo In Na missed the ceremony and that the actress had been busy with her activities in China.

Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na met and became romantically involved while costarring in the 2012 tvN drama “Queen In Hyun’s Man.”

Reports Claim SM Violated EXO-M Kris’ Basic Civil Rights

Reports Claim SM Violated EXO-M Kris’ Basic Civil Rights

On May 15, Chinese media outlet Sina reported that EXO-M’s Kris has filed a lawsuit to terminate his contract with SM Entertainment. The Seoul Central District Court confirmed this, but said that they have yet to process the request. The law firm representing Kris is the same one that represented Hangeng back in 2009 when he filed his lawsuit against SM. The law firm did not disclose any other details about the case, stating that they wanted to keep this case as private as possible.

First TVXQ and Super Junior, now EXO. Every time, with SM getting into a legal battle with a member from one of Korea’s most popular groups, there are those that are saying that there is a problem in the way their agency-singer relationship is set up. In all three cases, problems were presented regarding things such as payment distribution and restriction of activities.

According to Yonhap News, Kris’s representation said, “Rather than discussing his future as an entertainer, SM treated the plaintiff [Kris] like an object.”

“For all of their [EXO’s] activities in Korea and China, SM made the decision unilaterally, without regard for the members’ opinions or the status of their health. Upon distribution of profit, they were only shown a document with calculations that SM had made, and were not offered any detailed explanation or documents concerning pay. Despite high levels of activities, they [EXO] were always in financial difficulty.”

“This exclusive contract was a result of SM abusing its power over a trainee. Putting unjust pressure onto the plaintiff, they violated his basic civil rights, restricting his freedom in choosing his manner of employment and financial activity, making the contract invalid.”

Because civil suits like this have the potential to carry on for several years, it is possible that, as a result, SM’s image and people’s overall trust in SM could take a major hit.
