STELLAR Criticized for Using Sexually Suggestive Marketing Tactics

Girl group STELLAR, who made their comeback today with the sexy “Marionette,” is under fire for promoting their comeback in a distasteful manner.

After “Marionette” was released and became an issue due to the revealing outfits, netizens begun to notice the tactics that their agency Top Class Entertainment has used to market the track. 

On January 13, the agency started STELLAR’s Facebook account, and named it “Oppa, I will do everything you tell me to – Marionette.” Soon after, they asked fans to choose a song for them, and promised to shoot a sexy dance video. The track voted by fans was Gary‘s “Shower Later,” known for its suggestive lyrics. 

On February 4, the following message was shared on STELLAR’s Facebook page along with the picture below, “We will need oppas help to reveal our marionette.^^ The more likes our page gets, the more you will see of the marionette’s sexy and charming looks. Please also tag oppas who will help us. Enthusiastic response, we can expect it, right? Okay, let’s go.” 

Two days ago, the group’s comeback was announced by releasing first official teaser photos. In the controversial pictures, the members can be seen wearing revealing lingerie and flirting with the camera, causing netizens to question the taste level of the concept.

While these aggressively sexual tactics have gained STELLAR a lot of attention, fans and netizens alike have shown mostly negative reactions to the controversial concept. Many have expressed their dissatisfaction with the overly revealing stage outfits and criticized the inappropriate way of promoting the girl group.

Ga In reveals she has no close friends and stays home all the time

Ga In may appear to be quite the outgoing and energetic lady, but she revealed that she mostly liked to keep to herself on this week's 'Beatles Code 3D'.

She was asked, "Excluding Brown Eyed Girls members, do you have close friends?" Ga In revealed, "I really don't have close friends. I don't even have close friends among singers. I don't even have a drinking buddy. I don't go out at all."

Shindong and Mir said, "You can only see Ga In at broadcast stations. You can't see her in private," so Song Eun Yi asked, "Do you just stay home?" Ga In replied, "I do go out once in a while, but I'm mostly home. I like house chores like washing dishes and cleaning, and I am good at cooking."

Suzy, Kim Soo Hyun, and Jun Ji Hyun spotted filming 'You Who Came From the Stars'

Memories started flooding back for 'Dream High' fans upon seeing photos of Suzy and Kim Soo Hyun's reunion on 'You Who Came From the Stars'!

Suzy, Kim Soo Hyun, and Jun Ji Hyun were spotted at the romantic Ilsan Lake Park in Goyang, Gyeonggido on the morning of the 11th. Fans who are rooting for Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun were left not knowing who to ship anymore when Suzy stepped into the picture with her chemistry with her former onscreen love interest Kim Soo Hyun.

As mentioned previously, Suzy will play the girl who starts a mini love triangle with her advances to Do Min Jun (Kim Soo Hyun), making Chun Song Yi (Jun Ji Hyun) jealous. It has also been revealed that Suzy readily gave her 'ok' upon Kim Soo Hyun's love call for her cameo.

CNBLUE Sets the Final Date for March Comeback Show

Previously, it was announced that CNBlue will be airing a comeback show through SBS sometime in March. Now, the specific date has been finalized! Boice, start your countdown to March 2!

CNBlue is putting a great deal of effort into the show since it has already been a year since they have been active in the K-Pop music scene. Without any special guests, the boys are set to perform live. They’ll be performing songs from their new album and previous albums. 

For SBS to promote the comeback of an artist or band is an exceptional ordeal. Before CNBlue, BoA and Big Bang previously had comeback shows that were broadcast.  

Yesterday, CNBlue announced the name of the title track composed by member Jung Yong Hwa, which is “Can’t Stop.”

Few details revealed on Girls' Generation's upcoming title track 'Mr.Mr'

You don't have to pinch yourselves any longer because Girls' Generation finally confirmed their comeback with the first teaser for "Mr.Mr" yesterday, and now a few details on the title track have been revealed by an agency statement!

SM Entertainment revealed a bit more insight as they commented, "'Mr.Mr.' is a charismatic dance track with a R&B sound... It is the production of The Underdogs who worked with Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, and other famous pop stars, and through this track, Girls' Generation and The Underdogs collaborated for the first time."

Girls' Generation will pre-release their title track "Mr.Mr." on the 19th ahead of their comeback with a new mini album of the same title on the 24th!

Infinite’s L as Handsome Chauffeur in New Stills for “Cunning Single Lady”

New stills of Infinite‘s L on set for the upcoming drama “Cunning Single Lady” have been revealed!

L will be playing Secretary Gil, who is also a chauffeur to the D&T CEO Cha Jung Woo (played by Joo Sang Wook). We can expect a whole new level of “bromance” from these two actors as Secretary Gil is the only person that Cha Jung Woo ever shows his flaws.

These stills are from L’s first filming session. He is dressed in a sharp-looking suit and is seen behind the steering wheel. He shows a variety of expressions that perfectly portrays Secretary Gil’s mysterious yet straight-forward and experienced personality.

This filming took place on January 28 a a Cheongdam-dong street. It is said that L was slightly nervous to be filming with his senior Joo Sang Wook for the first time.

However, as soon as Joo Sang Wook came on set, L approached him first, greeting him respectfully and brightened the set’s atmosphere through his friendly personality. It is said that the two actors quickly became close after this filming and showed off a perfect chemistry.

L has been working hard for this role and drama. Due to his busy schedule, he was not able to obtain a driver’s license. However, he went to go get his driver’s license right away after being cast for this drama.

A staff member commented, “It was a short scene but L prepared a lot for his first filming session, which increased the passion for everyone on set. Everyone was touched by L’s efforts to learn from the director and his senior actors. Please look forward to L’s passion as a rookie actor.”

“Cunning Single Lady” will air after “Miss Korea” comes to an end.

Seo In Guk and Wang Ji Won Are a Sad Couple for New Stills of “Another Parting”

New still cuts of Seo In Guk and Wang Ji Won‘s five-part drama “Another Parting” have been released.

On February 10, several stills from the drama have been released, showing important scenes and even behind-the-scenes cuts.

The behind-the-scenes photo of Seo In Guk with tears welled up in his eyes is already shaking up the hearts of fans as they can expect a sad story line for the drama. Other photos show Seo In Guk and Wang Ji Won as a lovely winter couple, as they are holding hands while walking and cuddling next to each other.

“Another Parting” sources commented, “Even though it was the first time these two met on this day, they were able to act like a close couple.”

This drama is about a man and a woman who meet during the very last moments of their lives and spend a very special day together. Clips of Seo In Guk and Wang Ji Won’s character introduction will be released on February 12 and 13. The drama will air on February 17 through the cable channel, Dramacube.

It is also known that Melody Day will be singing the drama’s theme song.
