Song Hye Gyo Turns Into a Loving Mother for “My Brilliant Life,” Also Starring Kang Dong Won

Top actor and actress Kang Dong Won and Song Hye Gyo have come together again for the movie “My Brilliant Life,” which will be released on September 3. This will be the second time they have starred in a movie together.

“My Brilliant Life” is a touching movie based on a novel about a young couple, Mira (Song Hye Gyo) and Dae Su (Kang Dong Won), who conceive a child at the young age of 17. Their newborn son, Ah Reum, is diagnosed with Progeria syndrome, a rare genetic defect that causes him to age rapidly from an early age.

Actress Song Hye Gyo diverges from her goddess image to play the realistic role of Mira: a beautiful girl that once dreamed of becoming a pop idol, yet through the turn of events of having a child, ends up becoming a hard-working mother who has great love for her son.

Song Hye Gyo and Kang Dong Won previously starred as a couple in the movie “Camellia” in 2010. There have also been rumors that they may be dating, as they were spotted in Paris and at a movie premiere together.

'Ssul Jeon's Heo Ji Woong thinks HyunA should practice more singing to put controversies to rest

On the August 14 installment of JTBC's 'Ssul Jeon,' the topic of HyunA and her current song "Red" came up, bringing up discussion about her singing abilities.  

MC Park Ji Yoon claimed that the fact HyunA's sexy performance always became a controversy proved that she was a hot icon.  They then talked about why it's usually just HyunA that's chosen from the many singers who did the sexy concept and turned into a problem.

Kang Yong Suk said, "I hear that the viewers send civil complaints to the Korean Communications Commission's review room."  Heo Ji Woong said the sexy concept itself could cause controversies, but added, "I wish HyunA would practice singing more to put these controversies to rest."

He pointed out that compared to other sexy singers, HyunA's singing ability was weak. The other MCs said that she was indeed weak when it came to singing, but her tone itself was charming.  Kim Gu Ra stated, "But I don't think HyunA's song itself demands good vocal talents."

Heo Ji Wong reiterated that he wished she would be a bit better at singing and would advance one stage through practice so that she could ultimately be a singer with both a cool performance and great singing abilities.  

Looking through the comments left about HyunA, he continued, "There was a lot of comments left by women in their mid-twenties that were severe and excessive to the point they were hard to listen to.  Even I would get scarred, so think about how scarred the person directly involved would be."

YG Entertainment denies rumors of Tablo and Haru leaving 'Superman is Back' at the end of the year

Tablo's agency denied rumors brought up with recent reports about his family leaving 'Superman is Back' at the end of the year.

According to one article, broadcast insiders stated that Tablo was sorting out his busy schedule for his upcoming comeback reportedly set for this fall, and ultimately made the decision to stay on the show only up until the end of this year.

In response, a YG Entertainment rep told Star News on the 14th, "We haven't discussed their possible leave, so we don't know why there are rumors that they will stay on the show only up until the end of this year... We've never even talked about how long they will stay on the program or when they will leave... There was no such talk, so they will continue to do the show. As long as there are no changes made to the show itself, they will keep appearing on it."

So you can let out a sigh of relief as Tablo and Haru seem to be in it for the long run! 

Actor Nam Goong Min Finds Fellow Actress Yoo In Na Adorable

Actor Nam Goong Min was interviewed during the press conference for the upcoming drama “My Secret Hotel.” During the interview, he talked about how he found fellow actress Yoo In Na to be very adorable. 

This is the first time the actor is acting with Yoo In Na and he said, “I was born in 1978 and it’s hard to find someone who has the same age as me. But Jin Yi Han is the same age. I think we have a lot to talk about when it comes to acting,” he said.

Nam Goong Min continued, “Yoo In Na’s character should be very lovable and while acting together I felt that she is just as lovable in real life so she had no difficulty in playing her part.”

EXO’s D.O Praised for His “It’s Okay, It’s Love” Acting Skills on “War of Words”

Film critic Heo Ji Woong has paid EXO star D.O a complement about the boy band star’s acting abilities on JTBC talk show “War of Words.”

The show was aired on August 14th, and the panelists were discussing Wednesday-Thursday dramas aired on networks such as KBS, MBC, and SBS.

When the subject of discussion turned to “It’s Okay, It’s Love,” the drama the EXO star is currently starring in, Heo Ji Woong was asked what he thought of D.O’s acting skills. 

Heo Ji Woong replied, “I didn’t realize that he was an idol group member! I saw a scene that he was in with [co-star] Jo In Sung and I thought he was a new actor!”

Singer Park Ji Yoon, also appearing on the show, joked, “I saw a comment from a web user saying that SM Entertainment [the agency that represents EXO] must have changed its acting coach!”

RAMBLING of The Night: Happy Together Combo Special.

Good morning everyone. Well its 1 am right now, its already morning right?haha.. Still up you all? I still can't sleep. Can't help about it, I am just a ‘night person’. In this entry, I just want to ramble about Happy Together Combo  Special show. Just finished watching this show on KBS World. Personally, I really love this variety show. It's not just funny, but also full of emotion. I even cried to hear BARO’s story tonight. I like tonight list of guests. Since it Combo Special, we had CULTWO (Taegun and Chanu), Sam Hammington and Super Junior’s Henry and B1A4’s Baro and Jinyoung.

They all really funny! As expected from CULTWO Combo, they definitely funny combo. Being together for 20 years give them much story to be told. Henry and Sam Hammington meet each other in a Real Man variety show on SBS. It’s really nice to see these two foreigners in good terms. I really like when Sam said that peoples always mistakes that his name is Ham Sammington which is given a roar of laughter from others since it really suits him. Henry such a cutie. It's definitely true when the MC said that Henry popularity increase when he appeared in Happy Together last time with Kyuhyun. I really fall in love with Henry last time when he appeared with Kyuhyun and when he show off his talent in playing violin. OMG.. saranghae Henry-ah…

I feel bad towards Baro and Jinyoung, their air time really short! I want more about them. I feel worse when other two guesses show up. I really think Baro’s parents will appear since they are talking about Baro and he was crying that time! It's turning out to be Sam’s wife, Yumi and friend of Cultwo which I can't remember his name. It's really hilarious and totally funny when these two come out especially Cultwo’s friend. But I feel really bad for Baro and Jinyoung because when these two came up, its just like Baro and Jinyong totally been forgotten! I feel really bad about their air time. They didn’t get to tell their new song ‘Solo Day’ even Henry gets the opportunity to play his ‘Fantastic’, but that's totally funny when Henry’s shoes flying while he is showing off his foot artwork.

Former SMTOWN artists Fly To The Sky to be special guests and perform at upcoming SMTOWN concert

Former SM artists, Fly to the Sky, will be going up on stage at the SM Town concert as guests on August 15!  'SMTOWN LIVE' will take place at 5 PM KST on the 15th at the Sangam World Cup Stadium, and looks like a little family reunion may be taking place. Other artists expected to perform are Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, and Red Velvet.

Fly to the Sky will be performing their hit songs as well as collaborating with their junior SM artists.  Some mentioned were EXO's D.O and Super Junior's Ryeowook!  It's been revealed that the talented duo got a request to appear in the SM concert and gladly accepted.

Meanwhile, they will also be having an encore concert in September at the Grand Peace Palace, Kyung Hee University.
