Pilot Program “When a Man Lives Alone” Given a Regular Time Slot as “I Live Alone”

The MBC pilot program When a Man Lives Alone has been given a regular time slot, and will air under the title I Live Alone.

 

The show will air every Friday night from March 18, when the new schedules for the season kick in.

 

 

The pilot version of the program aired during the Lunar New Year Holidays. It took up a documentary form to show the lives of Lee Sung Jae and Kim Tae Won, whose families live abroad, Han Sang Jin, whose wife is an athlete and thus spends a lot of time outside of home, and the single men Kim Kwang Kyu, Defconn and Seo In Guk.

 

The show received favorable reviews for truthfully depicting the lives of the men living alone. Defconn surprised with his unexpectedly neat home, while Seo In Guk was shown to be a messy man.

 

Viewers had commented on the show, “We could relate to the celebrities living alone” and “I felt that when you live alone, you start to do what everyone else does, and this holds even for celebrities.”

G-Dragon confirmed to bring "GD 1st World Tour" to Singapore

YG Entertainment continues to confirm more concert stops for G-Dragon’s first world this year.

 

On March 8th, G-Dragon’s official tour page was updated and announced that he will be bringing the world tour in Singapore, a date and venue still to be confirmed. According to the tour page, the concert in Singapore is situated at the last part of the upcoming world tour.

 

The “GD 1st World Tour” will kick off in South Korea this March 30th and 31st, followed by a Dome tour in Japan rights after. YG Entertainment has also confirmed concert stops in Hong Kong,Thailand and Indonesia, with a confirmed date and venue yet to be announced.

Kim Joon Hyun is taking the next step with his girlfriend of 6 years!

 

The comedian shared that he will be marrying his longtime girlfriend, who is four years his junior, next month. Their upcoming nuptials were revealed when he mentioned it during the latest recording of ‘Gag Concert‘.

 

Kim Joon Hyun and his bride-to-be met as sunbae and hoobae at school, and recently, their families got together. The ‘Gag Concert’ comedian shared that his girlfriend has been his rock from the time he debuted until he rose to stardom, adding that he affectionately calls her ‘bono bono‘.

 

Kim Joon Hyun, who’s behind the catchphrase “Reaaaaally?“, debuted in 2007 and has been a part of hot segments on ‘Gag Concert’, such as ‘Four Things’ and ‘State Emergency Response Commission’. He is also starring on the KBS2 variety show ‘Qualifications of Life‘.

Boy band members teach K-pop majors at university

Aging boy band members have found a new passion – giving lectures of college students.


Lee Juno of Seo Taiji and Boys, and Hong Jong-gu of Noise gave their first lecture at Kookje College’s brand-new entertainment faculty on Tuesday.


Lee discussed the importance of basic but adaptable dance moves with about 60 students majoring in K-pop.


Hong, who has run a number of management companies and recently established agency NH&Major1998, focused on the need to choose the right agency. He emphasized that management companies can make or break budding stars.


The two will lectures for 10 hours each week.

CN Blue to Hit Up Australia and the Philippines on World Tour

Following the unveiling of CN Blue’s concert poster for the idol band’s upcoming 2013 CN BLUE BLUE MOON WORLD TOUR, FNC Entertainment has announced two more concert dates have been added to CN Blue’s tour.

 

The agency announced on March 1,”CN Blue will stand on stage in Sydney, Australia and the Philippines on June 1 and 15, respectively. We are currently working on adding Europe and the Americas [to the tour] as well.”

 

This is the first time CN Blue will be hitting up Australia. CN Blue will kick off the tour in Taiwan on April 6, before traveling to Singapore on April 13, Thailand on May 4, Hong Kong on May 11 and returning to Seoul for two shows on May 25 and 26.

INFINITE recently moved into a new luxurious dorm!

 

SBS‘ ’One Night of TV Entertainment‘ held an interview with the boys about their recent fanmeeting and also talked about their new digs.

 

The boys revealed, “We moved recently“, and shared information on which rooms each member were put in. Sunggyu, L, and Sungyeol shared the biggest room, while Dongwoo and Hoya shared a smaller room. Sungjong and Woohyun had their own rooms, but it turns out that while the maknae Sungjong got the best room in the apartment, Woohyun got shoved into a closet!

 

The boys explained that they used rock-paper-scissors to determine which room would go to who, and Sungjong won and picked the best room for himself. Meanwhile, Woohyun complained, “Maknae Sungjong and I have our own rooms. Sunjong has a room with a window view and a closet for himself. I’m stuck in an interior room, it’s basically a closet. There’s no space, the door is a sliding door, and it doesn’t even have a lock. Since there’s no window, there’s no light or wind that can come into the room, so I don’t know what time it is even when I wake up in the morning.”

Turkish Fans to Send JYJ’s Photo Up into Outer Space

 

Turkish fans of JYJ will be sending a photo of Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu into outer space.

 

As part of a photo project that is being executed by a local bank, JYJ fans in Turkey will send a JYJ photo as well as the fans’ message toward JYJ into outer space on March 18. The fans have shared this news along with their space travel certificate through YouTube, which has been garnering much attention.

 

JYJ’s fans spoke with eNEWS and said, “The rocket with the capsule will take off on March 18. This is a project by a Turkish bank.”

 

eNEWS spoke with the bank in charge and found out that the messages and photo will not be on a rocket but tied to a special balloon. After the balloon reaches the tip of the earth’s atmosphere, the message and photos will break apart from the balloon and float in space.

 

eNEWS also spoke with the Korean Council of Turkey and they said, “We have checked the message. It is true that the JYJ fans of Turkey will send a message and a photo of JYJ into space.”

 

They continued, “JYJ is the K-Pop group with the most fans in Turkey. In the past, Jaejoong was invited to a state dinner by the Turkey president and attended, which proved the growth of Hallyu and helped improve the cultural exchange between Korea and Turkey.”

 

Other celebrities who have had fans do similar outer space events include Super Junior‘s Kim Hee Chul, Jang Woo Hyuk and Jang Nara. But this is the first time that fans will have sent a message and photo into outer space.

 

Meanwhile, JYJ will be throwing a concert in early April at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

Controversy Ensues After “Little Psy” Decides to Debut

8-year-old Hwang Min Woo a.k.a. “Little PSY” rose to fame after he made a cameo in PSY’s “Gangnam Style” music video. After news broke out that the little star released his album and will be embarking on activities as a full-fledged artist, voices of outcry rose in concern for the young star, who might be negatively affected by the spotlight.

 

Hwang Min Woo recently held a showcase for his first solo album track “Show Time” in Seoul NonHyun-dong. Up until this point, Hwang Min Woo has been receiving much public affection for his appearances on various entertainment programs but all the public’s opinion became quickly divided after Hwang Min Woo put on his first showcase.

 

Much of the concerns were centered around how the 8-year-old might be affected by the hot skillet-like attention of the public. During filming for the upcoming episode of KBS Joy‘s ‘Boyfriend’s Hello Baby‘, Boyfriend were ranked according to the age of their skin.

 

The boys visited a skincare clinic and checked the health of their skin leading to some shocking results. Jeongmin, who initially expressed confidence in the health of his skin, discovered his skin age was the oldest among the members, while leader Donghyun, who joked he should be the new maknae, was found to be the youngest.

 

The members learned tips on how to take care of their on-screen children’s skin health, and sang along with Jeongmin playing the guitar to the lullaby, “Hello Song“, which they wrote and composed to get closer with their children during their family camping trip.

 

This episode will air on the 8th at 11PM KST.

Gathering with first generation idols, g.o.d’s Danny Ahn remembered how he was ignored by Sechs Kies’ Eun Ji Won back in the day.

 

 

 

On March 6, MBC’s Radio Star invited the ‘least popular’ members of H.O.T, Sechs Kies, g.o.d and N.R.G. Being with their former rivals, Lee Jae Won, Kim Jae Duk, Danny Ahn, and Chun Myung Hoon chatted up a storm about the good old days.

 

In one particular story, Danny Ahn revealed that when he first debut as g.o.d, the first seniors he met were the Sechs Kies members. “We were all around the same age, but Sechs Kies were big seniors to us. I greeted them with 90 degrees bows, but it wasn’t accepted.”

 

 

Hearing this, Kim Jae Duk started to slightly panic, saying he doesn’t remember what happened or perhaps the group didn′t see him, but Danny Ahn cleared it up, saying it wasn’t Kim Jae Duk, but Eun Ji Won who ignored the then rookie singer.

 

Kim Jae Duk, still a bit startled, tried to make a good excuse, hilariously replying, “It’s probably because Eun Ji Won was in charge of charisma back then.”

Park Si Hoo”s Mother Met with His Accuser”s Father Soon After Lawsuit was Filed

It has been confirmed that Park Si Hoo′s mother secretly met with the accuser′s father soon after she had filed her lawsuit against Park Si Hoo.

According to an official on March 7, Park Si Hoo′s mother met with the father of the accuser ′A′ on February 20, five days after the accusations were first made. It seems the two sides met in order to reach an agreement before the incident would make it to the press, but it is not clear on what exactly the two sides talked about.

 

The meeting didn′t last very long. According to an official working at the location where the meeting was held, A′s father suddenly left soon after he had met with Park Si Hoo′s mother.

 

Park Si Hoo′s mother apparently also went to meet A′s attorney at the attorney′s office.

 

Another official told enews, “Park Si Hoo′s mother visited the office of A′s attorney in order to find a way to reach an agreement, but she wasn′t able to do so.”

 

It seems Park Si Hoo′s side was looking for an agreement because that would mean the incident could immediately be resolved.

 

Lawyer Yang Ji Yeol of the law firm Ga Yul told enews, “Even though [Park Si Hoo] asserts he′s innocent, that′s just one of his opinions. He must endure a long, painful course in order to be cleared. If he reaches an agreement, however, everything can be resolved instantly. When two sides reach an agreement, the case loses its right of arraignment. Only the prosecutor can submit a case to the court, but if the case loses its right of arraignment, the prosecutor can no longer do so. It could be best for Park Si Hoo to try to reach an agreement.”

 

Park Si Hoo was sued by A for rape on February 15.

Sung Jun and Lee Soo Hyuk Cast for “Scary Story 2″

Sung Jun has been cast for the film Scary Story 2.

 

The actor will appear in the ′Cliff (tentative title)′ episode of the film, which is a sequel to a well-received horror film released in 2012.

 

Cliff is about how two friends get involved in a life-threatening situation after climbing a mountain together. Sung Jun will be acting with Lee Soo Hyuk, who also used to be a model. Director Kim Sung Ho, who had his film Into the Mirror be remade by Hollywood, will helm the section.

Sung Jun was previously recognized for his acting skills and good looks through the jTBC drama Can We Get Married?. He then debuted on the big screen with the film Dangerously Excited.

 

Scary Story 2 is an omnibus film, and started shooting on March 6. It aims to premiere in June.

Juniel Takes Over Download Charts in Japan with CN Blue”s Jung Yong Hwa and “Stupid”

Juniel′s duet with CN Blue′s Jung Yong Hwa has been enjoying a great success in Japan.

According to Recochoku, Japan′s biggest music download site, the duet single Stupid topped the Daily K-Pop Asia Chart on March 5.

Stupid is the 12th track in Juniel′s first Japanese studio album Juni, and was included as a bonus track. The song was previously released with Juniel′s debut in Korea, and was newly sung in Japanese for the album. Stupid was also introduced through the TV program Mezamashi.

Through her recent album, Juniel played her role as singer/songwriter by writing all the tracks for her album except for Stupid.

 

In Korea, she won the rookie award at the 27th Golden Disc Awards.

Jo Sung Mo celebrates his birthday with ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ crew

 

Singer Jo Sung Mo, who is currently starring as Joseph in the musical ‘Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat‘, couldn’t contain his joy during his surprise birthday party on set.

 

Jo Sung Mo was surprised with an early birthday party before March 11th planned by musical actors Choi Jung Won, Lee Jung Yong, and the rest of the cast and crew. Baek Ji-young will debut in Japan

 

Singer Baek Ji-young, who has been performing in Korea for nearly 15 years, is now preparing to make her debut in Japan on May 1.

 

At a showcase called “Premium Night”, she will perform in front of 400 fans at Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo.

 

On the set list are Japanese-language versions of “Don’t Forget”, “I Won’t Love” and “That Woman” along with “Good Boy” and “Candy to My Ears” in Korean.

 

“Different from most K-pop concerts that focus on fancy visual effects, the showcase will be designed to make Japanese audiences solely focus on Baek’s voice and songs”, said WS Entertainment, which represents Baek.

 

The singer will also release an album to expand her presence in the neighboring country.

 

The title track, “That Woman”, is already hugely popular as the theme song for the television drama “Secret Garden” (2011).

 

Baek said she’s nervous about meeting her fans in Japan and hopes they love her songs, according to local media reports.

G Dragon Adds Hong Kong Concert to World Tour

G Dragon of Big Bang, who is to start his solo world tour this month, has added Hong Kong to his itinerary, YG Entertainment revealed on March 5.

 

G Dragon will hold the first concert of his world tour at the Olympic Park Gymnasium this March 30 and 31, and will have consecutive concerts at Domes in Japan next month. In May, he will end his “ONE OF A KIND” tour with a concert in Hong Kong.

”G Dragon confirmed his popularity in China when his world tour with Big Bang sold out in Hong Kong last year, despite not having done any particular promotional activities there. G Dragon is preparing a unique and special stage show for his first tour as a soloist,” YG explained.

Wonder Girls” Yubin Pops Up in Gangnam for “The Virus”

Yubin turned up in Gangnam to cheer for her fellow cast members, even though she wasn′t scheduled for a shoot that day.

In new photos released by the producers of OCN′s The Virus on March 7, Yubin is shown on set, wearing a black coat with barely any makeup on.




According to an official, Yubin had dropped by the site in order to cheer for her senior actors. Uhm Ki Joon, Jo Hui Bong and Hyun Woo had been shooting a chase scene in the bitter cold.


Yubin passed out warm drinks for the staff, and practiced some of her lines with Uhm Ki Joon this day.


Producer Park Ho Sik said, “The shoot took place near Gangnam Station in very cold weather, but Yubin′s passion really pushed the actors and staff on. We believe she was able to showcase such great acting and absorb her role thanks to such efforts on her part.”


The Virus is about how a team attempts to contain a virus that can kill in just three days since the infection. Yubin appears as an IT expert. The second episode will air on March 8.
