B1A4’s “One Fine Day” to Begin Airing on July 21

On July 16, the members of B1A4 attended a press conference for their upcoming appearance on MBC Music’s B1A4’s “One Fine Day.”

“One Fine Day” is a program that follows idol groups while they go on a vacation, and B1A4 was chosen as the third group, following SHINee and f(x). B1A4 will be enjoying a one-week roadtrip in a camping car, visiting various places with beautiful scenery around the coast of Korea.  

During the press conference, member Baro confessed that he felt apologetic to his fellow group members for his increasing amounts of individual activities.

When asked about his thoughts on B1A4’s upcoming episode, Baro shared, “Before this trip, I went to Brazil for MBC’s ‘Infinity Challenge,’ as well as Laos for tvN’s ‘Youth Over Flowers.’ I felt sorry because I didn’t have much time to be with the members, but through this trip, we got to talk a lot and I was able to receive more strength thanks to them.”

He continued, “I’m thankful that my members are always supporting me and calling to ask how I’m doing, even when we’re far away [from each other]. I think I was able to see another side of the members that I’ve never known and I learned a little more about them through the trip.”

Fans and viewers will have a chance to see the colorful charms of all five members on B1A4’s episode of “One Fine Day,” which is set to begin airing on July 21 at 6 PM (KST).

Hyun Young Wants Her Son to Resemble an Actor, Not Her Husband

Supermodel and entertainer Hyun Young has announced her plans for a second child.

On the most recent edition of tvN’s nostalgia show “Those Days’ Top 10” she revealed her wish for a son that resembles Jang Geun Suk. On the episode, the topic of which was “stars who became famous through competitions,” Hyun Young appeared as a guest and talked about how she met her handsome husband and married life.

After marrying her finance professional husband in 2012, and raising one daughter who is now almost two years old, Hyun Young is thinking about her next step. “I already have a daughter, and now I want a son,” she said. “I hope he resembles actor Jang Geun Suk,” she said with a laugh.

On the episode, which was broadcast on July 16 at 7:50 pm, she also discussed her beauty pageant past and revealed many behind the scenes stories and secrets.

On July 16, Jung Joon Young was invited to appear on MBC every1′s “Weekly Idol’s” “Idol of the Week” edition. As soon as he entered the studio, he shouted “1 Night 2 Days!” laughing brightly.

Talking about fellow guest Defconn, he stated “His appearance on ’1 Night 2 Days’ and ‘Weekly Idol’ is different. On ‘Weekly Idol’ he acts like a real man’s man, but on ’1 Night 2 Days’ he’s a worrywart. It seems like he worries every episode,” he said.

When asked who the funniest members on “1 Night 2 Days” are, Jung Joon Young said “Kim Jun Ho is first, second is Kim Jong Min, and third is Kim Ju Hyuk.” Unconcerned with the nervous Defconn’s feelings, he continued “Fourth is Nada, fifth is Cha Tae Hyun,” leaving poor Defconn rather embarrassed.

Kam Woo Sung and Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung Overcome 20-Year Age Gap for Drama “My Spring Day”

Sooyoung of Girls’ Generation and actor Kam Woo Sung have confirmed their lead roles in MBC’s new drama, “My Spring Day.”

“My Spring Day” is a drama that tells the story of a terminally ill woman who goes through an organ transplant to receive a new heart. Sooyoung will play the role of heroine Lee Bom, the woman who gets the chance to live a brand new life after a heart transplant. This drama will be her return to the small screen in about one year, since starring in tvN’s “Dating Agency: Cyrano.”

Actor Kam Woo Sung, who is 20 years older than Sooyoung, will play the lead male role of Kang Dong Ha, a CEO of a livestock company. Kang Dong Ha loses his wife in an accident and has to raise his two children by himself. Lee Bom is the woman who receives his wife’s heart in an organ transplant, and in a weird twist of fate, is also the woman he falls in love with.

“My Spring Day” is described as a heart-warming drama, drawing on the premise of  ”cellular memory”- an unverified notion that claims memories can be stored in individual cells, causing the receiver of an organ transplant to act like or have the the personality of the donor. The drama is directed by Lee Jae Dong who has previously directed “Thank You” and “Missing You.” It is written by Park Ji Sook, who recently wrote the drama “Hero.”

“My Spring Day” is scheduled to begin airing in September, following the end of the currently airing “Fated to Love You.”

Singer Kim Bum Soo Becomes a Judge for “Superstar K6”


Singer Kim Bum Soo will be joining Mnet’s “Superstar K6” as a judge, along with singers Lee Seung Chul and Yoon Jong Shin.

On July 17, Mnet revealed that, “Kim Bum Soo is famous for shaking the hearts of the listeners through his singing abilities and has confirmed to be the judge on the show.” This is the first time Kim Bum Soo joined an audition program as a judge.

Among the participants of the show, many have expressed that out of the many talented vocalists, Kim Bum Soo is one of the singer that many of them want to be like. His well-known songs, “I Miss You” and “Last Love” are the songs that many participants have sung on the show. Many are wondering what the singer will bring to the show as a judge with his unique singing abilities and witty comments.

Kim Bum Soo talked about his appearance on the show by saying, “I’ve received many offers to be the judge on audition shows but when I imagine myself judging someone, it’s very burdening and that’s why I declined. However, I saw how the staff was trying to communicate with the viewers and when I saw them working hard to make this upcoming season a success, I thought it would be good for me to accept.”

Continuing on, he said, “I understand, more than anyone, the feelings that an aspiring singer feels when they’re lost. It’s because I’ve experienced it myself.  I decided to become a judge on the show because I believe it’ll have a great meaning if I helped those participants find their potential.”

He explained how he will prepare for the show by saying, “I believe ‘Superstar K’ is the only place where people, who have the passion to sing can fulfill their dreams. I will find the hidden potential in the participants through my experience and background. I will become a judge that will help open up a potential path and give honest advices.”

The staff of the show said, “We believe Kim Bum Soo is the most fitting as a judge on the show. Through his talented singing abilities, we’re expecting him to find a new star that will touch the hearts of many through their singing.”

Meanwhile, “Superstar K6” have been accepting participants since March. They have visited 14 cities along with the Americas, Japan and the Philippines. They have completed the second round of elimination and are officially preparing to film the show. For this season, they have visited the most cities and had a variety of methods to participate.

The first episode of “Superstar K6” will be aired on August 22.
