JYJ Gets Nominated for No.1 on “Inkigayo” Despite Not Promoting on Television

Group JYJ has achieved quite a feat, with a nomination for first place on one of three main broadcast station music programs, despite having no promotions on television.

On the August 10 broadcast of SBS’ “Inkigayo,” JYJ battled it out against groups SISTAR and Block B for number one on this week’s show.

JYJ made a comeback as a whole group for the first time in three years, with their second full-length album titled “Just Us,” on July 29. The group is proving their unchanging popularity—even after the long resting period—as shown by the nomination for first place in just 10 days following the release of the new album, even with no broadcast activities in particular.

“Just Us” recorded 120,000 copies in pre-order sales numbers, and set an all-kill on music charts immediately upon its release as well. The album also took the number two spot on Oricon’s weekly ranking chart in Japan, even as a Korean album.

Meanwhile, JYJ began their 2014 Asia Tour “The Return of the King” on August 9.

Jewelry’s Yewon Takes a Photo with Jaejoong After JYJ Concert

On August 10, Yewon of group Jewelry uploaded a selca onto her Instagram with the caption, “They were so great! Thank you for inviting me to your first JYJ concert in three years. The weather and the atmosphere are great! They’re world stars! I’m jealous…”

In the photo she could be seen posing with JYJ’s Jaejoong. He has his arm around her shoulder and looking at the camera with his big eyes. Yewon, on the other hand, seems to have a sly expression with a grin on her face. They are garnering a lot of jealousy from fans because they look close like siblings.

Meanwhile, following their concert in Seoul this past August 9, JYJ will continue their “The Return of the King” Asia Tour in Hong Kong, Beijing, Vietnam, and others totaling up to eight cities.

Haru Shows Jealousy Over Mom’s Affection for Child Actress on “Superman Returns”

Tablo and Kang Hye Jung’s light-hearted attempt at stirring up jealousy in their daughter, Haru, ended up getting a bit out of hand on the most recent episode of KBS 2TV’s variety program “Superman Returns.”

On the August 10 broadcast of “Superman Returns,” Tablo and Haru set out to visit mom, actress Kang Hye Jung, at the filming location for her latest movie, which she is currently in the middle of shooting. At the movie set, surrounded by new and unfamiliar sights, Haru discovered something particularly unfamiliar—a nine-year-old child actress named Lee Re, who is also starring in the movie with Kang Hye Jung.

During the visit to her mom’s work, Haru was unable to take her eyes off of the child actress, who could be seen talking affectionately with Kang Hye Jung.

As Haru witnessed the two interact in such a close manner, Lee Re jokingly teased her even more by linking arms with Kang Hye Jung and saying, “She’s my mom.” In response to this, Haru calmly said back, “No~ She is Lee Haru’s mom.”

However, Haru couldn’t keep calm after seeing her mom continue to pay more attention to the child actress, and ultimately cracked with jealousy, as she cried out, “Mom, why do you only like this unni and not Haru?”

Yoo In Na and Nam Goong Min of “My Secret Hotel” plan to display a different thrill with their hotel romance.

“My Secret Hotel” is the new murder romance on tvN, depicting a story of an unprecedented murder case and a complicated wedding ceremony between Nam Sang Hyo (Yoo In Na) and Goo Hae Young (Jin Yi Han). The drama mixes the romantic comedy and mystery genres, planning to display sweetness and thrills at the same time.

In the drama, Nam Goong Min appears as this generation’s elite gentleman and a hotel management director that is gentle and impartial in every matter. He is the direct supervisor to Yoo In Na, and forms a love triangle with Lee Young Eun. As Nam Goong Min gets entangled with the unprecedented murder case, he’ll become a key character in the story’s mystery.

Yoo In Na and Nam Goong Min will be depicting a different kind of hotel romance, as they play the roles of underling and superior, respectively, in the workplace. Using a hotel as the background of the story gives the feeling that more special events and romance will occur, and there is more attention being paid to Yoo In Na and Nam Goong Min’s romance. At “The Secret Hotel” in the drama, there’s much more happening than the murder case. The two share and solve many problems together, so while displaying their relationship between senior and junior, at times they appear as siblings and other times they are displaying a fresh romance.

Meanwhile, “My Secret Hotel” follows “High School King of Savvy” and premieres on August 18.

Jang Geun Suk Tries Hard to Win Chu Sarang’s Affection on “Superman Returns”

On the August 10 episode of KBS’ “Superman Returns,” the actor visited the home of MMA fighter Chu Sung Hoon and Chu Sarang in Tokyo.

As a big fan of the adorable Chu Sarang, the “Asia’s Prince” wanted to make a good first impression and came bearing gifts for the little girl.

Chu Sung Hoon got so excited seeing the gifts that Jang Geun Suk brought for his daughter including a special candy basket full of lollipops with cute little cutouts of Sarang’s face and a card with his signature and message on it, showing how much he has prepared to meet the adorable girl.

“I really prepared a lot to win Sarang’s affection,” said Jang Geun Suk while holding a Mini Mouse tumbler that he specially chose. However, while Chu Sung Hoon was checking out the kitchen cupboard, Jang Geun Suk saw that Sarang already has a similar tumbler so he screamed in surprise, “Oh no!”

Jang Geun Suk’s scream woke up Chu Sarang who was napping at the room beside the kitchen. While continuously showing Chu Sung Hoon more of the stuff he brought for Sarang, the little cutie stood quietly by the kitchen and saw her dad eating the gift that Jang Geun Suk brought.

Both Jang Geun Suk and Chu Sung Hoon were surprised to see Sarang quietly standing at the corner, seemingly shocked at seeing a guest in their house. Jang Geun Suk then greeted Sarang and said hello to her, but wasn’t able to break the ice easily.
