Key and Taemin talk about dating styles and giving presents to their girlfriends

SHINee members Taemin and Key were guests on SBS's 'Cultwo Show' on November 22.  On this day, both of them talked about their dating styles.

DJ Kim Tae Kyoon said, "I've been seeing Taemin for a few years now and I think he is becoming more and more manly.  He has both a cute and sexy charm."

Taemin thanked him while Key said, "What about me?"

Kim Tae Kyoon responded, "Key also got a lot cooler.  Previously, he had a very sharp vibe, but he is becoming gradually softer and seems to have transformed in a way that is appealing to women."

He also asked, "When you have a girlfriend, do you tend to give her a lot of presents or do you give more verbal signs of affection?"

Key said, "I tend to give presents only in the beginning.  They are not big presents . . . Even when I appeared on MBC's 'We Got Married' to go on a blind date with A Pink's Eunji, I bought her a present from a duty-free shop.  It somewhat signifies that you thought of the other party.  Most of the time, I tend to give them in the initial stage of dating."

Taemin answered, "I generally do not give things like presents.  I'm too lazy and I don't have a tender personality so I don't think I'm good at taking care of them."

Kang Min Kyung Praises Fellow Davichi Member Lee Hae Ri: “She’s Gifted”

Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung praised Lee Hae Ri for her outstanding singing ability, on KBS 2FM’s radio show “Lee Sora’s Gayo Plaza” on November 22.

Davichi performed “Turtle,” the title song from their second album, “Mystic Ballad,”  and DJ Lee Sora gave them a round of applause, praising them as being gifted with their vocal abilities.

On hearing this, Kang Min Kyung replied, “Unnie is the talented one. My ability is a little ambiguous. I have a difficult time keeping up with people who have studied music in terms of tune and pitch. Unnie majored in classical piano in university, so she’s worked on stuff like that a lot.”

Lee Sora posed this question to Lee Hae Ri, “What kind of help have you received from Kang Min Kyung?” to which she replied wittily, “I can feel her youth. I am feeding on her energy. I’ve got wrinkles.” Lee Hae Ri and Kang Min Kyung share a 6-year age gap, being born in 1985 and 1990 respectively.

Davichi will hold their “Davichi Code” concert at Busan’s BEXCO Auditorium on December 28, and then follow with a concert in Seoul at Jamsil Students’ Gymnasium on December 31.

Ivy Jokingly Worries About Being Berated Due to Joo Won’s Popularity

Ivy Jokingly Worries About Being Berated Due to Joo Won’s Popularity

Ivy has always been rather open about talking about issues she’s had in the past. She tends to address them with her usual good sense of humor, and she once again didn’t mince her words during the press conference for her new musical, “Ghost” featuring the ever popular and handsome actor, Joo Won.

Ghost Joo Won Ivy

IVY

On November 21, at the Seoul D’Cube Art Center, a press conference was held after the performance of a new musical called “Ghost” featuring Ivy and Joo Won as the lead protagonists. The musical is based off the 1990 American romantic fantasy movie of the same name, a movie that happens to be quite popular in this little corner of the world.

During this press conference, Ivy was asked “A lot of older ladies have expressed their fondness for Joo Won in the past. Have you ever been nervous while  working with Joo Won?” Ivy, rather than being infatuated with the talented actor, replied back that she found Joo Won “Uncomfortable.”

IVY

As for the reason, it goes back several years to Ivy rather seductive MAMA performance with 2PM’s Nichkhun. Ivy stated that “I had my mini-hompy (personal blog) terrorized in the past after seducing the popular idol, Nichkhun, as part of my work.I’m also careful in front of Joo Won because he is extremely popular.”

She continued to talk about how Joo Won is “Such a great actor and has a lot of positive points” but that “She doesn’t have any personal feelings for him.” She then jokingly mentioned that despite this, “It seems like I’ve already reserved the No. 1 spot in the search engines,” garnering laughs from the people present at the conference.

Yet despite her concerns about getting too close to Joo Won, she continued to joke around with the idea telling the press that “There is a really famous scene (In the movie/musical) where they use the pottery wheel while Sam hugs her (Molly) from behind. That also happens to be my favorite scene,” once again garnering plenty of laughs at the conference.

Ivy had previously appeared with Joo Won on Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook to talk about their new musical and already received some “fevered” interest for their on-stage kiss.

The musical “Ghost” will run for 9 months at the D’Cube Art Center with Joo Won and Ivy as one of two sets of rotating protagonists.

EXO’s D.O Injured During 2013 MAMA Performance

EXO’s D.O Injured During 2013 MAMA Performance

EXO’s D.O had his right ankle injured during the group’s performance at the 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards on November 22. He ended up seeking treatment for his injury at a local hospital.

EXO’s agency, SM Entertainment, said that D.O complained of pain in his right ankle after EXO finished their MAMA performance, and he was immediately taken to a nearby hospital in Hong Kong for medical examination and emergency treatment. As a result, he was not on stage with the rest of the EXO members to receive the Album of the Year award.

According to hospital results, D.O did not suffer any damage to the bone, and is planning to receive physical treatment as soon as he returns to Korea on November 23. According to the representative, D.O’s injury is not serious and can be treated adequately with physical therapy.

EXO performed hit songs “Growl” and “Wolf” and received a warm response for their top-notch performance. The performance, titled “A Sweet Dream,” began with the EXO members tied to their desks, with the members breaking free from their bonds and launching into an energetic performance of “Growl.” This was followed by a martial arts-dance battle between Kai and Luhan. Their next song, “Wolf,” moved to the center stage and made good use of the floor lighting to amplify their performance. Despite injuring his ankle while performing, D.O displayed his fighting spirit, finishing off the performance without even a hint of injury.

Singer-songwriter Yoon Jong Shin left a positive comment on his Twitter account, saying, “Ah cool. That’s why EXO is EXO.”

EXO released their first studio album, “XOXO,” this year and are approaching the 1 million mark in album sales. They won the Album of the Year at the 2013 MAMA, and in their acceptance speeches, one comment that struck a note was to “just enjoy the moment.” I’m sure they’ll be doing just that!

Who Will Lead The New “1 Night 2 Days?”

So the new “1 Nights 2 Days” has finally started recording with it’s new lineup of staff and members. After numerous rumors, rejections and denials, we finally have the final member lineup. Veteran members Cha Tae Hyun and Kim Jong Min are joined by a series of new faces including Defconn, Jung Joon Young, Kim Joo Hyuk and Kim Joon Ho. While a formidable lineup on paper, it does appear to be missing a certain something and that is a central leader figure that ties together all these personalities. Might this be a problem? The staff certainly don’t think so.

On November 22, the newly reformed “1 Nights 2 Days’ began their first recording, with Cha Tae Hyun and Kim Jong Min driving around picking up the new members. They then headed out to Namyangju in the Gyeonggi Province as well as heading to the Inje County in the Gangwon Province. So how did the new cast line up do during their first recording. In a quick interview with media outlet, Star News, Chief Ground Producer Seo Soo Min stated that “First off, all them are completely stupefied.”

They have also revealed that all the members are still rather awkward with each other even after recording together for the whole day. This is understandable given the lack of overlap for most of the new faces in the crew. Stars like Jung Joon Young and Kim Joo Hyuk are relatively new to the whole field of variety shows while even variety show veterans like Kim Joon Ho has never worked together with certain other members like Cha Tae Hyun or Defconn to any reasonable extent.

1 Night 2 Days
Interestingly, the Chief Producer of “Happy Sunday,” the overarching program that covers both “1 Night 2 Days” and “Superman,” is accompanying the “1 Night 2 Days” crew on their first recording. Park Joong Min CP has told Star News that “It’s probably because it’s still early days but everyone is unfamiliar with each other and on awkward terms.”

The lack of a clear leader on paper along with how unfamiliar each of the members are with each other has meant that there is yet to be a set leader figure among the team. The staff of 1 Night 2 Days are hoping that as the six members record and travel together, a leader figure will naturally arise without the staff having to specifically point someone out as a leader.

Park Joong Min CP has stated that “There is no official leader (In 1 Night 2 Days)” and that they will be “Keeping an eye on things for the time being.”

As for how the staff plans to air the first episode, they want to air as much of the awkwardness amongst the members as possible. Park CP explains that “Seeing a group of people that’s seen each for the first time on a trip together. We plan to show that as is on air. I believe that the awkwardness and unfamiliarity between the six members will be portrayed as is on screen.”

The first recording for this new and hopefully improved “1 Night 2 Days” will run till November 23 and is expected to air on December 1.

G-Dragon and Angela Baby respond to the media about their dating rumors

G-Dragon and Chinese star Angela Baby are becoming quite the hot topic as people are wondering whether the two of them are dating.  It appears to be a renewal of the dating rumors that previously come about when a picture of the two circulated after the 2012 MAMA.  Angela Baby had also disclosed previously that she was a fan of G-Dragon on her personal SNS.

At the 2013 MAMA press conference for the artist welcome meeting, G-Dragon answered a question about his relationship with Angela Baby, saying, "I am only on close terms with Angela Baby . . . It is true that I met her at the 2012 MAMA after party, but we did not spend our [Chinese] concert's after party together."

Netizens are feeling displeased that this scandal had arisen once again.  They are also unable to hide the fact they are taken aback by this scandal as it was announced that Angela Baby had been dating actor Huang Xiao Ming since 2010.

On November 22, Angela Baby expressed her frustration on her Weibo, "I have already become immune to the badly spreading, trashy entertainment news.  How about all of you?  Since when did all the present entertainment news become a writing contest?"

Netizens responded to her message with, "How frustrated you must be," "This is so ridiculous," "What sin did G-Dragon and Angela Baby commit," and, "I feel like Huang Xiao Ming would not be in a good mood."
