Heechul reveals he is a fan of 'Reply 1994' and 'Reply 1997'

On the November 14 installment of JTBC's 'Ssul Jeon,' Heechul admitted that he was immersed in the current fever that is 'Reply 1994.'

In this episode, the cast members discussed how 'Reply 1994' broke through the sequel jinx and became a syndrome as it is garnering popularity and success much like its predecessor 'Reply 1997.'

Heechul said, "I don't normally watch dramas.  On an educational level for 'Ssul Jeon,' I decided to watch just episode one and two, but it turned out to be really entertaining.  I watched it all."

Because he was influenced by his complete immersion in 'Reply 1994,' he confessed that he even watched all of 'Reply 1997' to everyone's amusement.

He was also asked whether he ever felt sorrow about his hometown during his training period.  Heechul said, "To my relief, the agency I entered had Donghae from Mokpo and Yunho from Kwangjoo so I did not feel much sorrow about my hometown."

Park Se Young snaps a picture with her 'Cat Funeral' co-star Super Junior's Kangin

It was revealed earlier this week that Kangin would be making his movie comeback in 'Cat Funeral'.

Filming has begun, and his co-star, actress Park Se Young, posted a picture of the two on set together. She tweeted on November 14, "The filming for 'Cat Funeral' started yesterday. We are filming; please support us, so we can film in clear weather with no rain!"

In the picture, Park Se Young looks pretty with long eyelashes and a bright smile. She looks happy to be starting her new movie, while Kangin looks sharp and casual behind her.

The movie is about an indie musician who meets up with his ex-girlfriend for the first time since their breakup to hold a funeral for the cat they raised together.

What do uncle fans like about A Pink's Eunji?

The November 14th episode of 'Happy Together 3' featured idols Girl's Day's Minah, A Pink's Eunji, and miss A's Fei and Suzy as guests, but the guests that had the viewers' attention were their uncle fans.

So what charm does A Pink's Eunji have that helped her to garner so many uncle fans? Her uncle fans said, "She's like a mother-in-law." He explained, "She matured too quickly."

Eunji accepted this as her charm, saying she personally has a very nagging personality. She said, "I ask my fans if they ate yet and tell them to make sure to go home and eat if they haven't."

She also talked about her mastery of the Seoul dialect: "Now, I can speak Seoul dialect naturally rather than awkwardly... My personal talent used to be speaking Seoul dialect awkwardly, but now that's gone because I speak it fluently," making the studio laugh.

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun Poses With “Radio Star” Guests at Dinner Party

A member of Super Junior, Kyuhyun revealed a picture of himself posing with a few entertainers including singer Lim Chang Jung.

On November 13, Kyuhyun posted on his Twitter, “After work, I drank like there was no tomorrow with Lim Chang Jung and Jung Seong Hwa. Magician Hyun Woo didn’t drink but he did show us a fantastic magic show with our drinks! Maeng Seung Ji isn’t on the picture because she came late from a meeting. Let’s all watch ‘Radio Star‘ tonight at 11: 15 pm.”

In the picture, Kyuhyun is posing with the guests that have appeared on the latest episode of “Radio Star” including Lim Chang Jung, Jung Seong Hwa, and Choi Hyun Woo. The four people looked happy with their arms around each other and laughing at the camera. Maeng Seung Ji, a fellow comedian, was also one of the guests.

DBSK’s Yunho Celebrates Christmas Early with His “85 Street” Friends

DBSK’s Yunho invited all of his best friends to his party. 

On November 14, The Celebrity magazine gave a sneak peek photo of his Christmas party photo shoot which will be featured in its December issue.

In the photos, Yunho is with his “85 Street” friends including his childhood friends as well as celebrity friends. Some of the invitees include actress Park Soo Jin, actors Kang Dong Ho,Son Ho Joon, Super Junior’s Kangin, Jewelry’s Kim Eun Jung, comedian Kim Won Hyoin addition to about 30 more of his personal connections.

The photo shoot took place at a restaurant in Seoul. Yunho was said to have prepared the party himself setting up a DJ booth along with all sorts of music equipment as he stir up the Christmas spirit with decorations. He also had games brought into the restaurant and installed a photo wall to take pictures with his friends.

Kim Yuna Donates $100,000 to Help Children in Philippines Suffering from Typhoon

Ice skating princess Kim Yuna generously donated $100,000 to help the people in thePhilippines who have been affected by the powerful typhoon Haiyan.

UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund) Korea released a statement saying, “Figure skater Kim Yuna donated to help the Filipino children affected by typhoon Haiyan. Kim Yuna usually volunteers for UNICEF Korea during the end of the year to help orphans and children with terminal illnesses.”

The representative continued, “This year, with the spirit of helping the children of the Philippines affected by typhoon Haiyan, Kim Yuna has donated $100,000 through UNICEF Korea. The donation will go toward food, hygiene supplies and education to help the children affected by the typhoon.”

Kim Yuna  also pleaded for people to help those affected by the powerful typhoon through a tweet.

Ailee Has Been Removed from Advertisements

Singer Ailee, who has recently been a topic of news headlines due to old nude photos, has been taken off of advertisements. 

There have been some different reactions to this from netizens on various Korean online communities.

Some have said that it’s a matter of course considering the company’s image. Others, however, think that removing her from advertisements was too much, saying that they wonder if taking her off was justified, and that they want Ailee back on the ads.

The chicken company in question explained, “Ailee’s commercial contract hasn’t ended. But consumers have been showing sensitive reactions to Ailee’s recent situation, and Ailee’s agency is also not entirely keen on the singer’s exposure at this time, so we took certain steps.”

Suzy Reveals Miss A Members No Longer Divide Individual Earnings Amongst the Team

Miss A‘s Suzy recently recorded for “Happy Together 3” for the girl groups and “uncle” fans special, with fellow miss A member Fei, A Pink’s Jung Eun Ji, and Minah fromGirl’s Day.

In the middle of conversation about idols’ earnings, the MCs asked Suzy, “Since you are the most active out of the members of miss A, how do you divide your earnings?” 

Suzy replied, “At first, we divided everything among the four of us, but now we keep the earnings that come from our own personal activities.”

At this, Jung Eun Ji (A Pink) said that the six members of A Pink still divide the earnings six ways. She joked, “It’s about time for our CEO to change that.”

Taeyang Talks About Big Bang, His Style, and Love (Interview Part 2)

- You expressed your respect towards sunbae Cho Yong Pil many times. How has he been your role model?

“I realized what kind of singer I want to become after seeing his comeback. He is the example of the life I want to live. I watched a documentary on him. He doesn’t like to be called “The King.” He said he doesn’t want to be trapped in the image people see him as. He also said the reason why he doesn’t appear on music shows is due to his philosophy that ‘An ideal meeting between a singer and fans is through concerts.’ I believe these are the traits of being a true singer.”

- You accompanied G-Dragon on his solo world tour. Do you also want to do it?

“I want to perform whatever the formality. It doesn’t have to be big. I would perform standing on top of a box of I had to.”

- You seem to have a model student image among the members of Big Bang. Is this true?

“Not really. Actually, I probably have more rebellious thoughts than any of the other members. But I don’t want to cause harm to my group members or the people around me, so I try my best. I don’t have an outgoing personality, and maybe that’s why I seem more well-behaved than I really am.”

- YG is going to debut is new boy group. How do you feel about it?  

“As I was observing WINNER, I thought about how difficult and desperate they must have felt. Although on the show I was the one giving them tips on how to sing and dance, I learned a lot. It made me think about how I was when I was a trainee. I want them to do well because they will be following in our footsteps.”

- How is Big Bang’s comeback coming along?

“We’re in the stages of recording. I think we should be releasing a single by the end of the year. We are shooting for a new album for next summer or fall. We’re going to release something one way or another within the next year.”

- What does Big Bang mean to Taeyang?

“I think Big Bang is a tree and I’m one of its branches. Big Bang is my roots. I’m prepared to do anything for Big Bang. There were many incidents and happenings involving Big Bang, but whenever something happened, I realized I could do anything for my group members.”

- It’s been eight year since your debut. What is your goal?

“I stopped setting a specific goal after seven years. I think I should be devoted to what I am doing now. If doing something I like and doing something I think is cool are considered goals, then they’re my goals. I have conviction about how I should live as a singer, but I still need to work on how I’m going to inspire people through my music. It makes me happy to be worrying about these things.”

- You’ve never dated?

“I think it’s becoming more and more difficult for me to meet someone I really like the more time passes. I have been on dates before, but I can’t say I’ve had a real relationship. What I really want to do right now is fall in love. I think love is something I need at this stage of my life.”

-You’ve received criticism about your flashy hairstyle. What can you say about it?

“I used to get my inspiration from the African natives from watching shows like ‘Law of the Jungle’ or ‘Tears of Africa.’ I even tried styling my hair after a cow or a scorpion. My thoughts on style have changed now, so I’m going to try hairstyles people will understand.”

- What is your opinion on the on-going arguments relating to plagiarism in K-Pop?

“I get inspiration from seeing different things and listening to different kinds of music. However, the important thing is the intention. Rather than making it sound the same, I think it’s important to listen to the type of music I like as much as I want and then create something new through completely absorbing it.”

Yoo Jae Suk Is Okay After Light Traffic Accident During “Infinity Challenge” Filming

Entertainer Yoo Jae Suk was involved in a light traffic accident while he was filming for “Infinity Challenge.”

“Infinity Challenge” producer Kim Tae Ho told Sports Seoul, “During filming, Yoo Jae Suk was hit lightly by a car as he was crossing a crosswalk. Luckily, he was not hurt, and after reassuring the alarmed driver, he went back to filming. I was a little worried about him and advised him to get checked up at the hospital just in case.”

After the incident, witnesses were quick to take to SNS to talk about what happened. A netizen who was there wrote, “While dressed up as a woman, Yoo Jae Suk was lightly bumped into by a car as he was hurriedly crossing a crosswalk in front of the MBC station in Yeoido.”
