JYP Entertainment liquidates U.S. based company ‘JYP Creative’

 

It’s been belatedly revealed that JYP Entertainment liquidated their subsidiary U.S. company, ‘JYP Creative‘, which they established back in November of 2011 in the U.S., after 1 year in November of 2012.

 

JYP Entertainment, headed by J.Y. Park,  invested $1.2 million into the subsidiary for their activities in the U.S. However, JYP Creative recorded a net loss of 119 million KRW ($106,000) in 2011, and the loss continued, resulting in a net loss of over 1.7 billion KRW ($1.5 million) in 2012.

 

To help with JYP Creative activities, J.Y. Park had opened up his Korean BBQ restaurant ‘Kristalbelli‘ in New York, but it’s said the restaurant has faced losses as well. However, for the time being, the restaurant will continue to operate.

 

Although they’ve liquidated their American firm, the agency states that there is no change in promotion plans for their artists.

 

JYP Entertainment assured, “There is no problem with the agency artists promoting domestically or internationally.”

 

They continued, “Currently, 2PM, miss A, and other agency artists are promoting more within Asia like the countries of Japan and China, rather than the U.S. There is no immediate plans for promotions in the U.S., so there is nothing that has changed because the American firm has been dissolved.”

‘Wind Blows In Winter’s PD to possibly team up with KARA for a drama

‘Wind Blows In Winter‘s PD Kim Kyu Tae may possibly team up with KARA for their very own drama!

 

DSP Media has revealed that this project is still in discussion and nothing has been decided as of yet. However, if it is made, then the show will be a five-part drama featuring one act plays led by each of the five members. It is planned to premiered in Korea first and then broadcast later in Japan. Although the members have starred in their respective dramas, musicals, and sitcoms in the past, this will be the first Korean drama in which KARA will be acting in all together!

 

PD Kim Kyu Tae’s Republic Agency stated, “Even for directors, this type of five-part drama is a novel attempt and it is also a new challenge for KARA as actresses, so we are currently reviewing it positively. It is planned to be a melodrama, but the details have not been determined yet.”

‘Knee Drop Guru’ drops from first to last place in its time slot

 

Kang Ho Dong seemed to have finally overcome his slump in viewer ratings with last week’s episode of MBC‘s ‘Knee Drop Guru‘ topping its time slot, but that quickly went downhill this week as the show was forced to air a re-run due to controversy surrounding their guest, Kim Mi Kyung.

 

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, the March 21st broadcast of ‘Knee Drop Guru’ achieved a 2.8% viewer rating which was a steep 5.4% decrease from its previous viewer rating of 8.2%. The show aired a re-run for this week as star-instructor Kim Mi Kyung is currently under the suspicion of plagiarizing a paper.

 

Meanwhile, KBS 2TV‘s ‘Happy Together 3‘ claimed first with 8.2% viewer rating and ‘Star Couple Show‘ achieved a 7.2% viewer rating.

22 idol groups (70 idol stars in total) participated in a survey entitled ‘Best Idols’ by ‘Sports Donga‘ to cast their votes in five categories: Best Vocalist, Best Rapper, Best Dancer, Best Ulzzang (Best Visual), and Best Star Factor/Talent.

Kim Hyung Jun cast in the new drama ‘Gold, Appear!’

 

Fans will be seeing SS501‘s Kim Hyung Jun on their television screens soon again. The idol star has been cast in the upcoming MBC drama ‘Gold, Appear!‘ (‘I Summon You, Gold!‘).

 

Kim Hyung Jun will play the role of Han Ji Hye‘s younger brother Mong Gyu, an unemployed post grad with cute charms and a carefree attitude.

 

Also starring in the drama are Yeon Jung Hoon, Lee Soo Kyung, and Lee Tae Sung. Son Dam Bi is also in talks to star in the upcoming drama.

Its a been long time since my last post.. what I mean is post that I write.. something about me or my opinion..

 

tonight I went out for dinner with my family..as usual.. of course they will have another family beside us, right? haha.. (what kind of question of that?hahaha)

 

the main point I wanna write here is their CHILDREN.. that couple have 5 children.. and all of them still little...and...they really active! omo.. I really CANT STAND IT! ok.. I admit that, I  don't have mother instinct.. but its didn't mean I hate kids.. I like them.. when they behave! I cant stand to see kids that running all around.. noisy.. ahhhhh... I will go CRAZY.. (hahaha)

 

I do envious sometime to my friends that gonna have baby or already have baby.. BUT! I really know myself! I still not ready yet to be mother.. mother??u still not married mimie..and..u still SINGLE! please don't think too much! hahaha..

 

Last Saturday.. I meet my bestie... worried because her period already late for 2 days.. I told her may be she pregnant..hahaha.. she told me... pray for her.. that her period just late..hahaha.. she's really funny.. and..a few days a go.. she told me that she already period..hahaha.. she's totally not ready..

 

yes..I know that child is a gift..  but.. in my opinion..its better if we really ready to become  parents 1st.. because if we not ready.. I just afraid that we will not able to become good parents.. and of course.. if ALLAH wanna give it.. I will receive it with grateful...  (yaa!!!mimie!!! stop dreaming!!!)

Park Shi Hoo’s Lie-Detector Results Are in: He Lied on All the Questions!

About a week ago on March 13, we had reported that Park Shi Hoo and “A” who claimed that Park Shi Hoo raped her took a lie-detector test. Well, the results have finally been revealed and they are quite shocking. The results of Park Shi Hoo’s test are that he lied on all of the questions asked! WOW!

 

A representative of the police department that ran the lie-detector test made a statement on March 22. He stated, “During the investigations with the lie-detector test, all of the answers that Park Shi Hoo gave were shown to be lies. We do not know what the questions were because a different government department asked them. Also, the lie-detector results are only supplementary information.”

 

According to another news source, another representative of the police department stated, “It is unlikely that Park Shi Hoo will be acquitted with this case. After the investigations end, he will be transferred to the prosecutor’s office. Currently, it is even possible to issue a warrant.”  

 

For those of you who haven’t been following the news regarding Park Shi Hoo, currently “A” is claiming that she was raped by Park Shi Hoo on February 14.” Park Shi Hoo has denied these allegations.

“JYP Creative” in the U.S. Closes Down

 

 

JYP Entertainment closed down their U.S. office, “JYP Creative” on March 22. “JYP Creative” was opened in November, 2011. It was created in the U.S. in order to aid JYP Entertainment’s entrance into the U.S. market. Around $1.2 million was invested into “JYP Creative.”

 

 

The first year the company incurred a loss of around $120 thousand and last year it incurred a loss of nearly $1.7 million. That is why JYP Entertainment has come to the decision to close the company.

 

Besides “JYP Creative,” the traditional Korean BBQ restaurant “Kristalbell” also incurred significant losses. It opened in 2011 near Korea Town in Manhattan. The restaurant will continue to run for now.” However, JYP stated that they just closed down their U.S. office and will not change their plans of promoting in the U.S.

Super Junior’s Yesung has posted a picture on his Twitter account with the comment “Super Show 5 D-2. Donghae and Yesung during a rehearsal.” In the picture, Yesung wears a black jacket and sunglasses with a little smile and blond-haired Donghae looks a little tired. Bae Yong Joon comes back from Hawaii after long stay

 

 According to an announcement by an official in the entertainment industry on the 20th of March, Bae Yong Joon, dubbed “Yonsama” in Japan, has returned home after staying for quite a long time in Hawaii. He left for Hawaii in December 2011 for his café business and some therapy. In the meantime he has been back to Korea for a while to attend a VIP movie preview and to take care of some business, but he returned to Hawaii early this year.

 

Bae was injured by falling from a horse while shooting the drama series Taewang Sashingi in 2007 and has recovered after undergoing physical therapy in Hawaii.

 

According to an acquaintance of his, he is reviewing various TV series and movies for his next project, and it is also said that he will appear in a drama series that his agency is preparing to produce.

‘Wind Blows in Winter’ warned for excessive PPL by Korea Communications Standards Commission

The Korea Communications Standards Commission has issued a warning to ‘Wind Blows in Winter‘.

 

The commission had a conference on the 21st, and decided on fines and other penalties for excessive advertisement for all programs and channels. One of the most notable programs warned was SBS‘ ‘Wind Blows in Winter’, as it is one of the most talked about dramas on television these days.

 

This is definitely not the first and last time a drama has been warned about excessive PPL or ‘product placement’. Out of the recent dramas that concluded, ‘I Miss You‘ was warned for repeatedly using a camera as a prop, as well as including various lines in the script about how to use this specific camera. SBS’ ‘Cheongdamdong Alice‘ was also warned for closing up on Smartphone screens repeatedly, as well as talking about the specifics of certain products. These examples are just to name a few.

 

‘Wind Blows in Winter’ has now joined the long list of dramas that have been warned for excessive product endorsing due to their detailed scenes on the use of an internet based home phone. The specific scenes pointed out were from the episodes aired back on February 13th and 14th, in which the main characters showed off multiple functions of the phone including face detection, motion detection, recording and sending function, etc.

Jang Geun Suk involved in a minor car accident

 

Actor Jang Geun Suk (26) was involved in a minor car accident on the 21st.

 

The Incheon Police Station revealed, “Around 6:16 PM KST on the 21st, the sports car, which Jang Geun Suk was driving, collided with a bus that was moving ahead of it. A tire at the passenger’s seat side of Jang Geun Suk’s car went flat, and thus, the accident simply occurred due to a flat tire. The insurance matters have been resolved.”

 

Jang Geun Suk was driving on the Incheon International Airport highway when his car suddenly experienced a flat tire and ended up bumping into a nearby bus. Although two passengers on the bus felt slight dizziness and there were some damages to both cars, there were no serious injuries.

 

Jang Geun Suk is currently in Thailand for his ‘Team-H‘ promotions.

Ryeowook announced on his Twitter, “I think I’ve been hacked~! I will get to switch my account soon… [Sigh]. I don’t know who you are, but please don’t cause any trouble ㅠㅠ,” pleading with the sneaky hackers.


Eunhyuk‘s Twitter previously got hacked as well, making fans wonder if this is a trend among Super Junior’s Twitter accounts.

Kim Hyun Joong to make a comeback on Korean variety shows with Kang Ho Dong

 

Kim Hyun Joong will be making a comeback on Korean variety shows!

 

The singer has been active as a singer and an actor, but it’s been a while since he was featured on Korean variety shows. However, he’ll be part of the cast on the new SBS variety show with Kang Ho Dong. SBS stated, “Kang Ho Dong’s new program will start airing on April 21“.

 

Other than Kim Hyun Joong, the variety show will also feature Yoon Jong Shin, Yoo Se Yoon, Kim Bum Soo, and Yoon Si Yoon. The program is planning on 7 members in all, and the final member is currently being decided upon. The first filming will occur overseas, and the show will be led by Kang Ho Dong and PD Jang Hyuk Jae of ‘Family Outing‘.

 

SBS stated, “Currently, we haven’t confirmed the title, but the initial filming will take place overseas in the first week of April. We won’t be going overseas for every episode.”

G-Dragon says he was an idol 4 years ago but now he’s an artist

 

G-Dragon graded his own growth over the past 4 years.

 

On March 21, G-Dragon held a press conference at KBS Sports World in Hwagok-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul for the opening of his upcoming world tour.

 

The Big Bang leader held his first solo concert back in 2009, so during his press conference he was asked what the difference was between now and 4 years ago. He answered, “I feel this continuously as I work, but even though I’m young now, I was even younger back then. I have a lot of things that I want to do in terms of what I do on stage and my musical color, but I feel like I haven’t been able to fully do all of that yet. I think after a few years if I look back at myself, I’ll be like this again. Lately, when I make music or put on a performance, I try to be really sophisticated so that when I look back at this point from the future, I won’t look unsophisticated.”

 

He continued, “Something different is that the environment has changed a lot. I think I learned a lot and was upgraded from being surrounded with a good staff in a good environment. I hope people who watch feel the same way. Back then, I was an idol so I showed a lot of cute adorable and varied looks. Variably, I’m trying to emphasize my artistic side through the Big Bang concerts and this tour. I think the entire show will be proceeded under a more solid foundation.“

G-Dragon reveals his new album is 70% completed

 

On March 21, G-Dragon held a press conference at KBS Sports World in Hwagok-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul for the opening of his upcoming ’2012 G-Dragon World Tour: One of a Kind’.

 

During the press conference he stated, “It hasn’t been long since the Big Bang world tour, so I’m exhausted both physically and mentally. But I’ve got my second wind and hopes up by preparing for this solo world tour. It’s a chance for me to upgrade myself. I think I can make my new solo album more solid while I prepare for this world tour. The new album is currently about 70-80% done.”

 

G-Dragon laughed and added, “CEO Yang Hyun Suk told me not to talk about my new album yet. I’ve been working on it since last year, but I don’t think this is the right time to release it. I’m being more ambitious and editing it. The exact time of when I’m going to release the album is a secret, but I’ll be releasing a new song through the tour, and I’m going to release the new album soon.”

 

YG Entertainment stated, “Honestly, due to Big Bang’s world tour last year, G-Dragon’s promotions for his mini album ‘One of a Kind‘ was very short lived. This will be a good gift for his fans because he’s going to put on various stages from that album.”

Kikwang’s fan club donates over 3,400 items of clothing in honor of his birthday

In honor of B2ST member Kikwang‘s upcoming birthday on March 30, his fans donated over 3,400 clothing items to charity.

Kikwang’s fan club ‘Meet the Universe‘ donated to the non-profit organization Octan. From February 15 to March 15, fans gathered clothing, handbags, and shoes to help those in need.

An Octan representative stated, “In honor of Kikwang’s birthday, Kikwang’s fans donated a lot of clothes and the number of people who participated exceeded our expectations. More so than this fan club donation becoming a trend in the future, we hope that more people will take interest in Octan.”

 

Kikwang thanked fans through his Twitter sharing, “Wow my loving fans prepared such an awesome donation! I’m really satisfied and love it. because I have fans like you, I am really glad, joyful, and happy. It is really such a kind deed! I feel so encouraged! Thank you everyone.”

Kikwang’s fans previously donated 1.7 tons of rice for the ‘United Cube Concert‘ last month, showing their dedication to maintaining Kikwang’s good reputation and to helping those in need.
