BTOB’s Minhyuk, Changseob, Hyunsik, and Sungjae will be joining labelmate
Junhyung as part of the “MONSTAR” cast.
It was revealed that four out of seven members of rookie group BTOB will be
starring in the upcoming drama series, “MONSTAR.” They are set to be part of a
fictional boy group called “Men in Black,” to which labelmate and BEAST member
Junhyung is the lead vocalist, Yoon Seolchan. BTOB already appeared as part of
the “Living in CheongDamDong” cast even before their debut, having their own
fictional debut in the series with the song “I Stole Those Lips.”
“MONSTAR” will be a 12 episode lasting drama series, which will feature a mix
of music from all eras, old and new. Its story will portray the spirit and life
of youth, trying to chase their dreams within music, love and friendships.
Incorporated in the series will be the recent audition shows, as well as a high
school music club and its members.
The drama will start airing on April 6th. The screenplay of the drama was
done by writer Jung Yunjeong, while the director in charge is Kim Wonseok, known
for his previous works “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” and “Cinderella’s Sister.” It will
be filmed by the production crew of “Wolf Boy.”
Dickpunks’ Kim Jaeheung was also added to the cast earlier this month.
