Jo
Kwon shared a story regarding his pre-debut, trainee life with
SISTAR‘s
Hyorin.
On the March 2nd episode of MBC‘s ‘Quiz to Change the
World‘, after Jo Kwon expressed his interest in a 90s MBC sitcom
‘Three Guys and Three Girls‘, he and SISTAR’s Hyorin became the
center of attention.
There was an awkward atmosphere about the two idols, as they couldn’t even
look each other in the eye. Noticing this, an MC pointed out, “You two are
really indifferent [towards each other]. Did something happen between you two?
Greet each other. Why do you guys act exactly like people who were once close
and then fell apart? Did someone confess and get rejected?”
At this, fellow 2AM member Changmin
offered a possible explanation, saying, “Jo Kwon scolded Hyorin
once when they were trainees.”
Jo Kwon clarified, “[When we were trainees,] Hyorin was the number one
candidate for JYP auditions. In order to ensure she didn’t get too prideful
about this, however, the trainee sunbaes, myself included, would purposely act
scarily towards her,” thus revealing the reason behind the strange tension
between the two idol.
Was ok for him to scold Hyorin to prevent her from being too cocky?
