Hyun Suk‘s word mix-up on ‘K-Pop Star
2‘ brought about laughter on the set and for viewers at home.
During the last battle audition, Yang Hyun Suk tried to show support for
contestant Shin Ji Hoon by using the lyrics of the famous song
“Goose’s Dream“. However, he made a mistake and instead stated,
“I’m looking forward to a great stage like a duck that
flies up for its dream.”
After he said it, he realized there was something wrong. He glanced over at
BoA,
who was stifling a wry smile, and said, “It’s a goose, right? A
goose!“. In response, BoA and J.Y. Park burst into
laughter, and even the contestant loosened up and laughed.
This isn’t the first time the YG Entertainment CEO made
mistakes. He’d pronounced words wrong previously, changing ‘weakness’ into the
similar sounding ‘tongue’, and even speaking in awkward English to cause
everyone to burst into laughter.
