Secret and Miss A receive the Artist of the Year at the Seoul Music Awards

 

Secret and Miss A received the Artist of the Year again at the Seoul Music Awards. They have received the award for three consecutive years. Although there have been a lot of idol groups, their popularity was still very firm.

 

On January 31, the 22nd Hi One Seoul Music Awards was held at the Handball Stadium in the Olympic Park. Including the grand prize, a total of eleven awards were given to some of the singers who received the most attention last year. Psy received the grand prize as he built a strong fan base in and out of Korea and led the K-pop boom all over the world.

 

Secret appeared on the stage as the first winner of the Artist of the Year. All four members, including Zinger, appeared on the stage. Zinger said, “I’m very nervous now because I’ve taken a break for so long. I’ve realized how valuable it is that I can be on stage. Please look forward to Secret’s music for this year.”

 

Secret received a lot of attention at the awards with their powerful performance.

 

Miss A, another winner of the Artist of the Year, said, “We want to say thank you to producer Park Jin Young, and our parents and managers. We’ll continuously work hard. We also appreciate all our fans for encouraging us.” Miss A’s Suzy hosted the awards with Tak Jae Hoon.

 

The winners of the Seoul Music Awards were selected by the ARS popularity vote (20 percent), the sales volume (40 percent), Sports Seoul’s popularity vote (10 percent), and expert review (30 percent).
