Singer IU was appointed
an honorary police officer to fight school violence.
IU made a special appearance at the National Police Agency’s police
commission ceremony in Seodaemungu, Seoul on the 15th. The singer, who is known
for her cute and bright image, received recognition as an honorary police
officer for the ceremony and was appointed as the school violence prevention
ambassador.
The event was held in part to encourage police officers and the public to
report and root out school violence. Comedians Jung Tae Ho, Park Sung
Kwang, Shin Bora of the Brave Guys were also made
honorary officers.
In other news, IU is starring in the upcoming KBS 2TV drama
‘You’re the Best Lee Soon Shin‘ which will premiere in March
after ‘My Daughter Seoyoung‘. She’s also releasing her first
Japanese mini album on March 20th.
