Kim Hyun Joong Reportedly Pushing Back Military Enlistment to Next Year, Agency Currently Looking into the Matter

After receiving confirmation from a source on August 28, TV Report has reported that singer-actor Kim Hyun Joong had originally received his enlistment notification for this coming October 10, but will be postponing his military enlistment until next year, due to his world tour and other schedules.

Kim Hyung Joong is currently in the middle of completing his work schedules overseas. Beginning with the “2014 Kim Hyung Joong World Tour” in Thailand on August 24, he recently set off on a solo tour throughout Asia and South America for a total of five different countries.

The singer-actor is scheduled to make stops in China (August 30), Peru (September 7), Mexico (September 12), and Japan (September 16) for a concert and fan meeting, followed by his final stop in Beijing on September 19. It appears that this packed schedule is the reason for pushing back his enlistment.

However, despite the release of these reports through various media outlets, Kim Hyun Joong’s agency reps have stated, “We are currently trying to receive confirmation on the news regarding [Kim Hyun Joong’s] military service postponement. Nothing has actually been confirmed yet.”
