On February 21 (U.S. time), Billboard uploaded an interview with Big
Bang on its website. The interview focuses on the success of the world tour the
group went on from March last year to the end of January this year, making stops
in 24 cities in 12 countries and giving a total of 48 concerts to a total
audience of 800,000. Billboard says, “Big Bang traveled about 89,000
miles (about 143,231 kilometers) while they were on the world tour for ten
months. This world tour is one of the most profitable tours in K-pop history.”
In the interview, Big Bang thanked the fans who came to see them during the
world tour.
In addition, the group members said, “We’ll work individually in 2013.
G-Dragon and Taeyang will release solo albums, Daesung will release an album in
Japan, the new film T.O.P appears in will be released, and Seungri will appear
in some Korean and Japanese drama series.”
Regarding his and Big Bang’s plan to release an album in English, G-dragon
said, “We believe that we can release an album both in Korea and abroad. We want
to release songs in English when the right time comes.”
